I am a hard worker and very adaptable.

I could be on the server 9-13 hours weekly.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Roleplaying is when a person plays as a character who is not themselves. This character is put into situations where they must make certain decisions. The person playing as the character makes the characters decisions based not on what they would do, but what their character would do.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I have had a limited amount of experience in role-play sadly. However, I have played on another role-playing server.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Meta gaming is the act of using out of character knowledge when you are in character. This is a very selfish act that may ruin role-play. An example of this would be me saying in-game "Oh yeah that surprise attack is scheduled for tonight, we should prepare for it." This act of meta-gaming dulls the experience of role-play considerably as it is supposed to be a surprise attack. Unfortunately due to using out of character knowledge in character, I have spoiled the role play.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Power gaming is the act of exerting total control over role-play. This is another selfish act that spoils role-play for others by not giving them a chance to do anything. For instance, "Grimherst unsheathes his sword." "Human smashes it across knee then kills Grimherst." This has taken away my freedom to creatively role-play. An act of power-gaming is a lack of respect for other role-players and the very definition of role-play.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I personally hope it will fulfill my highest expectations and be like the fantasy books I adore.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have played on the server Age of Fatality. I left because it wasn't really role-play and the staff was incompetent and too lax.

My character's name is Grimherst Enkrid

What Race are you?:

My character is a dwarf.

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):

My character has no sub-race.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Grimherst Enkrid was a simple dwarf boy who grew up in Aegir in the Frostbeard clan. His family was one of the ones who chose to board the ships and eventually make it to Asulon. He got along well with the dwarf children and was mildly popular. His father was in the military and Grimherst also is currently in the military. When he arrived in Asulon he was of 16 years. The next two years he trained in combat using the monsters roaming about the world. When he was 18 he bid his parents goodbye and traveled the land of Asulon for another two years. During that time he was a mercenary, spy, historian, bard and linguist. At the age of 20 he returned back to the dwarves realm to settle down, though he is still fond of travel, and will never forget those days. He has visited nearly every realm save the orcs dwelling place. He has a red beard and is of medium build for a dwarf.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

Grimherst's ambitions are to become a high ranking officer in the military, and perhaps become a part of the higher or lower council. He also wishes to serve as an ambassador, for though he loves fighting when necesary , he is a strong advocate of peace, and has as mentioned before, studied language and history. He wants the aforementioned positions so that he may best serve his people.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

Grimherst's favorite tool is a sword. It is reliable and efficient, which is what he as a dwarf strives for in a tool.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

Grimherst can speak multiple languages and has no small skill as a warrior. He is competent at negotiating and has "people skills."

Other Information about your Character:

He is extremely fond of children and likes to compose songs and poems in his free time. He is also fond of strong drink.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Grimherst watches as the two armed warriors harass the halfling. "Stop!" he would cry. The air turns still, only the sound of a lone locust is heard. What Grim would do next depends on how the warriors would respond. I do not wish to power game, so i will not say how the events turn.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Grim would say, "No thank you, I'm just browsing today." A fly buzzes in the air. Grim swats at it irritably. He hopes the shopkeeper will not be too upset. The dry dusty air begins to get to Grim, and he wanders off in search of a drink, composing a poem on the way.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Grim walks up to the captain. Half of him wants the reward and half actually wants to help. "Human, I will help you" The attack is at dawn. The bandits, with their swords and armor fight fiercely. Grim hurls himself into the fight and combats gloriously.
