What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Roleplay is taking a character (With a backround and a personality) and acting out situations the way that the character would. If your character has anger issues, make him act aggressive and rude. If he or she is weak or frail, dont have them swinging around a diamond sword around and slaying zombies!

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:I have not had much experience but I know what it is and want to try it.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

When you use info that your character dose not know but you know and using it to your advantage to help your situation. If i was walking through the woods and bandits where waiting to attack but you attack first when really don;t know they are there.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:Having your character stronger than he should be to help in a situation. Like when you are a warrior and you need items and you go and make your own things when you are not a blacksmith.

What do you expect this server will be like?: A hear from my friend it is the best RPG server and I have high hopes for it.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on a few but haven't been good but this one looks a lot better and I want to try it.

Character Name:Fallgrim Ironheart

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Fallgrim was a member of clan Ironheart and a dwarf of immense will and courage, even from a young age living in his family home in Aegis his parents knew he was something special, always excelling in his knowledge of ores and gems throughout his education, and with a thirst for mining which nothing could quench. He made many friends during his childhood and was loved and adored by his family for the many minas he brought in with his trips down to the mines for ore.

When Fallgrim reached the age of 23 he joined the legion as an axeman, having learned few techniques from his family for axe use he was rather unskilled at first, recieving many scoldings from his superiors about poor form when wielding his axe. However he had a good eye and was a quick learner, so after a few weeks of extensive training and practice, he was one of the best axemen in his group and was considered for advanced training when the undead began attacking the city. Fires blossomed throughout the tunnels of Kal Urguan as necromancers and reanimated bodies charged through the tunnels slaying all in their path.

Fallgrim was in the middle of training when three zombies broke through the door and fell upon his fellow recruits, Fallgrim flung his axe into the creatures chest but it seemed to do little to stop it, grabbing another off of the shelf this time he landed the axe in the zombies neck severing its head and sending it rolling across the floor, he then seeing its effectiveness finished off the rest the same way as well. He checked to see if his fellow recruits were still alive but they were close to the door when the zombies arrived and were caught off guard, stepping over their bodies, he joins the panicked survivors of the attack on their run to the surface, once reaching it he sprinted to his family home to tell them the news. Upon reaching the cabin he spys a note telling him that his family fled to the verge, he sprints to the portal jumping in and racing to the surface where he sees his family gathering wood to begin the dwarves boat to Asulon, he stays with them throughout the undeads campaign across Aegis helping other refugees and adding on to portions of the boat until the day they began their journey. Many days passed and finally they spotted land and when he they got to the shore he said good bye to his family. He told them he had to find his own path now and he wanted to find a nice place to live. Fallgrim travels for many days and finds a town. He meets the towns people and stay for a few nights. He decides to stay a little longer. As he like the town and its people he decides to live in the town. He lives there for almost a year before setting out again.

What is your Character's ambitions?:To find a town to live and start a new life.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):Pickaxes and Axes

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Fighting with an axe and mining for minerals to sell.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Fallgrim was walking on his travels and hears voices. He stops and listens. He keeps walking and see ahead two warriors stealing from a halfing and wants to help but dosent know how. He remembers that he had just passed a town and as fast as he can run to the town. He warns the guards and when they get back there the two warriors are gone and the halfing is just lying there. He says the two men went into the woods. The guards run in after them and catch up to the two men and catch them. Later the guard thank him for helping the halfing and let him stay the night for free.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Fallgrim would take a look at the wares and noticing a pristine iron sword on display inquire about it, "How much for the sword there?" he says in a thick dwarven accent "50 minas" says the shopkeeper eager to get in a sale, Fallgrim pays the man and walks off testing the swords balance, and whistling an odd tune

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Knowing all to well that it would be wrong to steal from it he thinks, unfortunatly his dwarven greed overtakes him and he shoves the ingots in his back pack for later use, later he reassures himself thinking it must have been abandoned anyway and that finally settles his mind.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Fallgrim would try to talk to the traders and finds out they dont understand him so he tries to communicate to them with motions and they still did not understand him. He finds some paper and drew a picture and they show they have no food. Sad he walks away hoping to find some food.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Hoping the job is right he asks what the job is. Knowing it may be dangerous he sadly denies the job. Sad he didn't make any money once again continues on his quest.

Comb through your application for typos, grammar and spelling mistakes.

You give many side examples of what roleplaying is, but do not overly define the term itself. Please expand upon it muchly, we need to be able to see clearly that you understand the term given, and what it means to this server.

Your definition of metagaming is awkwardly worded, which makes it very difficult for me to decide whether or not you actually have an adequate understanding of the term.

Your definition of powergaming is somewhat onesided, please expand upon it and give more examples.

Your biography has an impressively accurate portrayal of the fall of Aegis, but fails to give any background about Asulon; your character has been here for many years, and would no doubtably have started a new life. Please detail this, so we have a clear gauge of where you will be heading, and clearly define a more present depiction of your character.

Your ambition is rather vague, and underdeveloped. You have not given a reason for them, and to be frank they are rather cliche'.

You need to specify why the pickaxe and axe are you favorite tools to use, where did this favoritism come from, and how did it develop?

How did he learn his skills, and what caused him to achieve this mastery of them? And don't lay it on the fact of him being of Dwarven Descent.

Your open response questions do not give a clear enough image of the character you are going to be playing. Please expand upon them, and add more details. I want to see how you would fully roleplay these scenes if you were actually tossed into them.

Overall, your application shows much promise, but lack several of the fundamental details that are required to receive admission to a server like Lord of the Craft. Please read over the Asulon Wiki which can be found here:

And browse the forums, and get a very good feel of the server, and when you go to write your last application you will be allowed aim to write a good one or two large paragraphs for every question supplied, be thorough and as detailed as possible, show that you are willing to put in the biggest amount of effort, and fully understand our lore and rules.
