Mireton: New Management

Recommended Posts

*Magnus Loken walked into his new county, observing the lack of people. He scanned for a sign of anyone, and saw only stray animals, and dusty, abandoned, dilapidated, houses. He turned to his captain and said

"Evict everyone. Give them 3 Elven days, and it they return, which I doubt they will, they can have thier things. Anyone who wants to stay, can send me a bird. Now get to work. I'll call my serfs."

*He sent off a bird to all his serfs, informing them of their new land, and how it was safe from the plague. As some of his men came, he broke down the vaults, and anything that was property of the old government. He observed his men come in, and make major renovations. Specifically that of the Military post, which was a disgrace to call a main base of any military. A cold smile formed on his face, Mireton was now his.*

((Are you sure the ENTIRE duchy is yours? Mireton is no longer a duchy you know, it's a city...))

((Uh, Mireton has already fallen to plague. It was first in Renatus to do so. But since it was you can RP that it's been mostly cleared. Also, can someone tell me this RPly so I can change it?))

*A bird flys toward you, and gives you a small handwritten message

I wish to keep my home in Mireton for now.

-Rio Korujas

((Hmm.. I have actually been online a few times lately (not at American times), telling me beforehand wouldn't have hurt.

Anyways, Mireton's infected by the plague. I did this because of the huge amount of towns in Renatus, keeping a town active and alive is barely impossible. I wanted to set this up in RP this week, but didn't have the time. (And you wouldn't have seen me IC, because, again, timezone difference.)

I think it would be best not to have people living in the town anymore and instead in the capital because Renatus is segregated enough already as it is. (tip: as good as no one likes rping a serf).

I hope you keep the beauty of the area and don't destroy that, good luck with the rest.))

[[ We found the town abandoned, and devoid of all but 2 cows. We then killed em later, and wear face masks. We are RPing that the plague is there, but more difficult to get than in other areas. It also doesn't make sense that it is the ONLY place in renatus with the plague. We have mantained our borders, and do not allow anyone in or out.

Additional: We are building up the town's defenses also, and we are going to be starting a road through the mountains behind Mireton to connect to Ezekiel's town. Basically; major changes.

((It isn't the only place in Renatus to have it. Mireton was first and then it spread to Arethor. See this topic. Fortunately Arethor is mostly cleared by now.))

[[ Regardless, there shouldn't have been ANY plague in Arethor. The military mantained the borders, and we DID kill anyone with the plague. I even burnt Throdo in a house because he had it. There was no reasonable way for the plague to get in. ]]

((Regardless, there WAS plague in Arethor. Several people RPed as having it, so I responded. Given the large borders the nation has it's not unfeasible for someone to manage to get in.))

[[ Meh, reasonable. Well the Plague seems to have no effect on us so far. We shall see what happens. ]]

((Held the borders? I could just walk in & out without seeing anyone.

And a road through the mountains? Didn't see the start of the path I made going to the west, around the mountains, just outside of Mireton?))

[[ We saw it, but we want to make a more direct route to Ezekiel's holdings, and some of the lands he holds. And concernign the border statement, read some of Godfrey's posts, we technically have patrols of men on our borders.

You could just use horseback(fast travel) to get to Tarus' lands.
