The nickname is Z3r05t4r (obviously as listed above ;) ), I do enjoy gaming quite a lot. That includes playing of various shooters, strategy and simulation games. Aside from that I enjoy Roleplay games as well, such as games on rpol.net, or RPing in other games like Minecraft of course, Superpower 2, etc. Aside from gaming I am interested in history, politics and cultures. And I love maps and good constructions ;)

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Sadly, I don't really want to define myself here, but if I enjoy the server enough, I might stay for a long time.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Defining roleplay is a hard task. The opinions can differ a lot in this matter. To sum my opinion up: I do believe that roleplay is not only to pretend to be someone else, but to actually live through that person and act with the surrounding people, objects and nature through this person. To really be this person (not in real life terms of course, but game-wise).

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

Various RP-servers in Minecraft, I roleplayed in Superpower 2 (if you know a similar multiplayer geopolitical simulator, tell me), as well ass other minor games such as F-Online 2238.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

To put it simple: Meta-Gaming means to give knowledge you have about something to your character, who can't know these things unless he discovers them or learns about them.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Again: Be the strongest, be unbeatable, never fall onto your knees, no matter how much damage, pain or loss you suffer with your character. People don't like to lose. And that moves them towards power-gaming. Good RPers do avoid this.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

Hm. Big. And hopefully good, as quite a bunch of people I know from Aswein, have moved here.

mrkd.gaming, the Stronghold server and mostly Aswein.

Godwein Stafyr is the name given to him by his father.

What Race are you?:

Godwein himself was born as a human. Father and mother were both human.

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):

None.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

He is the first son of Theor and Ravenna, who were living as townspeople in a small village. Aside from working in their tavern, Theor also took care of the political side of his village, as the representative. He taught Godwein how to write, read and calculate. Even a few lessons about politics were within Godwein’s education. Godwein also had a younger brother, Guiner, and a younger sister, Marian.

Otherwise Godwein doesn't like to talk about his past. It was filled with misery and bad luck, losing his siblings during an attack of bandits, mother dying due to a disease, father dying of grief. After travelling to a nearby town he got robbed by bandits, only to be thrown into prison by a corrupted judge. Two years later he was set free with nothing left but his angered mind, the few pieces of clothes he still has on and the will to fight corruption, pilferage, injustice and murder. And he wishes to fight this with nothing but the most powerful methods available to any nation. Politics, laws and diplomacy. Proper rules to have a proper life in safety.

His further ventures through the world engraved his intentions into his bones. Travelling for another five years, barely making a survival, almost getting killed, he eventually manages to reach Asulon, but broken, torn up, sad, mad and with almost no will to keep going. Who knows, maybe this time he will manage to achieve something without losing everything?

Godwein is 32, a bit thin due to his prison time and has a rather scarred skin due to his experiences in the wild. He has a grudge against lawbreakers and the knack onto following laws without mistakes. Aside from being precise in his work and life, he has a weakness for women and fears magic. Source of this is unknown to him. He sports brown eyes and a bit longer brown hair, slightly dirty as of now. His torn clothes give him the appearance of a beggar, although he wishes to change that in the future, by doing well-paid work.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

Godwein wishes to make the world a better place. And he believes that this can only be done through proper laws, rules, politics and diplomacy. And he can find it, where lords, kings and nobles reside. Becoming a messenger or ambassador, a steward or maybe a guard to learn about the politics of Asulon is his main target. And possibly in the future, he will manage to achieve something greater. That will be shown.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

The Sword, which should protect those in need and the innocent.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

Godwein likes to work out precise things, such as accounting. Otherwise he has a hand for fighting with swords and axes and is ready to protect people, be it a lord or a farmer.

I hope this appropiate for the time being. As Godwein had a rather hard time in the old world, his appearance is quite bad at the moment. I plan on changing his clothes as he progresses through time.

Other Information about your Character:

To unite, to rule, to "pacify", to calm. To make the people's life a good life. To protect, to save, to preserve, to help. To make the people's life a safe life. The good will is what counts for Godwein and he wishes to enforce it with the proper methods.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Before taking the initiative, I ask the two warriors, what duty they have with the halfling. If the response is negative (getting attacked or be insulted), I shall help the halfling. If the halfling appears to be a thief or the situation stays unclear, I recommend them to go to the next guardhouse or court with me to settle this thing. If the warriors deny I will help the halfling.

Godwein: *carefully approaching the three living beings*

Godwein: “Hold it, what are you planning to do with this Halfling?”

Warrior 1: “This is none of your business.”

Halfling: “Help me! They are trying to rob me!”

Warrior 2: “Not true. You stole this gold from us and we are here to take it back!”

Godwein: “You know, you could bring this issue to the next guard. There you may be helped easier. I happen to know where one is, so I recommend you to follow me.”

Warrior 1: “Haha, we can settle this our own way. Now get lost, before we will take your money as well.”

Godwein: “You are nothing but scum. Robbing defenseless people from their property.”

Warrior 2: “It pays off, you know. Now get lost!”

Halfling: “Please, sir, help me!”

Godwein: “You, Halfling. Leave them your money then. I believe it is better in this situation.”

Halfling: “But!”

Godwein: “Do as I say.”

Halfling: *hands his purse to the two warriors*

Warriors: *laughing*

Warrior 2: “So long, Mister White Knight! Hahahaha!”

Godwein: “Well Halfling. I am sorry for your gold, but the situation called for it. I know how they look now, and we shall now go to the local guardhouse and report it. I think you are not the first target of their pilferage. At least we are sure to see another day, as in combat I couldn’t take on both of these horrible men. Now follow me.”

Halfling: “But my gold! I needed it for medicine for my father! It’s urgent!”

Godwein: “Hm. Point taken. It was your gold after all. Here, this should settle the problem for now. Go and quickly buy the medicine for your father then. But don’t get caught by bandits like these two again. Don’t worry, I will report them alone.” *hands the Halfling a purse of gold*

Halfling: “Thank you dear sir, thank you! I won’t forget this!”

Godwein: “Good luck now.”

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Godwein: “Good day to you, merchant. You don't happen to have some provisions for travelling? I do plan on taking a trip to a distant town, so food would be necessary.”

Merchant: “Well, I do ‘appen to have good and tasty meat here.”

Godwein: “I would prefer something that lasts longer than meat, such as bread or apples. Unless the meat is dried or cooked of course, which should let it last long enough.”

Merchant: “Well enough, friend, come ‘ere and see for yourself.”

Godwein: *picks a few loafs of bread* “How much for these?”

Merchant: “2 coins o’ silver for each.”

Godwein: “I see. Well, I think it’s the best choice for now. I will buy three of them.” *rustles in his purse for the adequate amount of money* “There we are.”

Merchant: “Why thank you, dear sir. Anything else?”

Godwein: “No, I think I am settled. I will beg my leave now. Farewell and good business for the future.”

Merchant: “Farewell and good travels.”

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

It wholesome would depend on the situation, but Godwein would take the sword with him to either give it to someone in need or to sell it and use the money for something useful for the common good.

Godwein: *takes ONLY the sword, as it is his favourite weapon* (Rule hint: this does count as “small stealing in the wilderness”? And the hut is abandoned, so it should be okay)

Godwein: *checks surroundings*

After finding nobody around Godwein leaves.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Godwein: “Greetings my dear traders, please can you help a poor, hungry and tired man? Just some water, a piece of bread and the warmth of a blanket and fire.”

Trader: “Man, you are in a pretty rough shape. Friends, fetch me some food for this torn up fellow. Say, what happened to you?”

Godwein: “I have been robbed by a bunch of miserable bandits during my way to a local town. They took me as a prisoner and pulled me along with them. Two days ago I managed to escape from them and since then I have been on the run, lost in the wilds.”

Trader: “That is sad to hear. Lucky you, that we don’t happen to have ruthless and evil intentions.”

Godwein: “True, the honest work is valuable in these grey times.”

Trader: “If you wish, you may join me and my company to travel to a local town, where I have business to do. We can leave you there, so you can pick up your duties?”

Godwein: “This would be most convenient, I appreciate your efforts. There is not much of this dedication in a world like this. Shall you ever be in the need of help, you can rely on my, should we meet again then.”

Trader: “Fair enough, friend.”

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

As Godwein has a sense of lawfulness he joins the town guard to help in the fight against the bandits.

Godwein: “I am ready to lend a hand sir. Borrow me a chestplate and a sword and I will help driving these ruthless bandits away from here! They are scum and have no rights to occupy this road, only to steal the honest work of hard working people. Let’s get them!”

Leader: “We appreciate any help, but tell me dear man, why do you have such a grudge against bandits?”

Godwein: “I.. I lost someone in the past.”

Leader: “.. murder, isn’t it..?”

Godwein: “..yes.. they had no chance at all.. nobody could help..” *sinking in thoughts, mumbling quietly*

Leader: “Very well then. I am not really in the mood of asking further. Have this sword and this armor. Join the waiting soldiers at the gate, as soon as I am there we shall engage the bandits.”

Godwein: “As you command.” *salutes and walks off*
