Grogos 4 Share Posted May 19, 2012 ((I and my friends decided to create the settlement of barbarians that mix Slavic and Celt culture. After the burgh will be created all its residents will deicide if we want to join the Subudai. For now lets focus on increasing our numbers so we can built proper settlement and start RP. I invite everyone fasicnated or interested in this idea to sign and join our burgh. There are lots of professions and position that are vacant for now. Also I would like to ask Druids if there is someoe who would want to RP druid of our settlement.)) Rarog Burgh In the lands of far north, in the forests beyond the realms of elves and orcs. In the deepest parts of woods there is a clearing amidst which stand wooden burgh rising over the trees with tall towers made of log and earth. Behind the wooden wall shine in the brightness of the sun roofs made of straw. From their sides rise chimneys made from cobblestone and wind blows smoke that keep coming from them. Amidst the huts children’s play and watch their fathers return from hunting carrying meat of the boar they killed. Soon women will cook it and when the sun goes down the feast will be held in the center of burgh with ale, food and music. The old druid that lives in the hut near the circle of stones where once a year festival is carried will stand in the middle and prey to mother nature for good harvest. When feast will end the chief will make the toast for brave hunters for killing boar and to their skilled wife’s for cooking it so well. The political system within settlement will be based on this exhibited in early Celtic cultures. The Leader of the Burgh will be chieftain who will rule village until his death. After the old chieftain will pass away the new will be chosen by residents of Rarog Burgh and so on. This will be further expanded with the expansion of the village. People of Rarog are proud and courageous. Though they will remain neutral to other factions but great emphasis will be placed on fighting abilities. The culture will orientate around warrior/hunter structure. Because the village will be classic barbarian style, only humans will be residents of burgh. Also it will be open to trade with other countries and races but people of Rarog will react with great suspicion to anyone who will approach their village. Once someone enter the burgh and become guest he will be treated with respect and hospitality as the tradition demands. Location: If You want to join in and You feel that something is missing feel free to propose anything that in Your opinion will improve the project. Also as soon as burgh will get more residents I will be expanding my VIP to diamond so we will have proper piece of land. Players that signed this charter: 1. Grogpalodzierzca - Wit 2. Sacrevarius - Uamignatix 3. Sheunhaa - Koriakix 4. Ceilteach - Fionn Frostsword ...

He watched in awe as the daylight grew with Fir taking the domain left by Cichol. Along with her mother, appeared Tera raising from the west and flowing the lands and seas with her beam and heat. Yarih watched as the Goddess of the sun shined more and more brightly. And seeing her beauty, Yarih adoration to Tera grew stronger. But being lost in his feelings he didn’t see that the flames of the Sun overpowered his weak light. Before he realized light of the sun made him slowly vanish. It was then the Goddess of the sun spotted young God of the moon and tried to suppress her beams, unfortunately the stranger still fade away. She begged her mother for help, but Fir didn’t care for the son of her enemy and remained deaf to the pleas. In the last moment, before Yarih paid the ultimate price for his curiosity, Cichol appeared. Great was the anger of God of Death to his son stupidity. God of night summoned vast powers of his magic and banished the day before its time ended. Thus night opposed the day and covered the sun with the blackness. Cichol took his dying son to nurture him in the realms of Gods and vanished from mortal world. Great was fury of Fir but Goddess of Day weren’t strong enough to openly oppose Cichol , and the fury was the only thing left for her. Yet the story didn’t end in that place- for young children of Gods fell in love with each other. And so from time to time Yarih and Tera met when their way collided and stayed as long as they could together. From their union the first human was born. His power was great and his strength mighty. He had children with spirits and lesser goddesses thus his line spread and grew in numbers. People lived during day when Fir cared for her grandchildren and rested during night when Cichol watched over them. In time humans grew to so big numbers that it put great burden on the world. When other gods were debating what to do, Cichol stepped in. He gave people gift of death. And so every time human reach certain age he withers and dies and thus balance is kept in the word. Grogos 4 Author Share Posted May 19, 2012 Subudai. Come on, give some advice or comment on the topic. Dont just give up after first two sentences. To sum up for those who wont last through all text: We are creating village of barbarians based on european nations. We do not go for every barbarian nation that ever existed in the world, so there is no place for Tatars, Mongols, Indians or Persians.
Raptorious 1899 Share Posted May 19, 2012 What I meant by that was: You wonder where all the barbarians are, yet the Subudai exist and we are trying to grow more and more. Doing the same thing somewhere else is..... Meh, I dunno. Ive voiced my opinions penty times before on people splitting rp where its not necessary, Im not even going to bother anymore. Forget I said anything.

Forget I said anything. Thats why I asked you to read all the text. Do you even know who Subudai are? Because I did go through all factions dead and alive before I gave up on searching and focused on creating. Read all text and see that what we are trying to create here is completely diffrent from Subudai Tribes. And if you want to say that Mongols and Celts were the same in any way, then thats it, I've got nothing to persadue you. Dont just post baseless criticism. It will only hurt this charter even though it dont have flaws you pointed out.

The Subudai is not a "mongol facion". Yes we have mongols, but it is not a complete mongol group. It is a group of tribes (or Kotans as we call them) of barbarians and nomads, each tribe with its own unique culture and origin. That being, there are mongols, there are arabesque tribes, there is also a Scandinavian/Nordic tribe as well as a Slavic one. So before you criticise me of posting pointless posts, or not reading everything, or not knowing something, maybe you should check what you read. EDIT: You didnt honestly think, I'd post something, without thinking first? You thought I could actually confuse Mongols with celts?

I am sorry if I offended you, I had my reasons for thinking that you didnt read this topic. That is I did read thru Subudai topic and found there only descriptions of Nomad Mongol like clans some Sarmats and Amazons. I didnt found anything on Celt/Slavic culture. So naturally I assumed that you didnt read the topic and you judged on shallow level. That was my mistake, but admit that I had no reasons to think the other way. I would be happy if you could give some info about this slavic clan of Subudai.

I didnt mean to be, Im sorry. Im just in a teeny bit in a bad mood and apparently it came off on my post. You did not offend me and I sincerely apologise for making it seem like I did. And yes I do realise that you had no reasons to think otherwise. And about the Slavic clan, I am familiar with the leader, but not so much with the tribe's progress. Perhaps you and your members should message and speak with him about it (KotoTamoPeva) ? Or unless you wish join the existing Scandinavian one (you may speak to me) or even if you want to start any other one (speak to gaius marius, our overall leader). Again, sorry I came off as a bit aggressive. No intentions to.
BannanaToYou 196 Share Posted May 19, 2012 bar·bar·i·an/bärˈbe(ə)rēən/ Noun:(in ancient times) A member of a community or tribe not belonging to one of the great civilizations (Greek, Roman, Christian). Barbarians already exist, and so do Vikings. But it is nice what you've wrote.

As for joining Subudai, I must firstly ask others and we will see, but I like the idea.
