Ooc: Roleplay Help So I Can Apply!

Hi everyone! I'm new here, and I haven't applied to be in-game yet. I've looked a lot through the wiki and forums. I've decided that I'd like to become a High Elf (and eventually try for becoming a princess *crosses fingers*).

I have absolutely no idea of what my biography or how I came to be should be. Would anyone like to offer an idea?

And I do have role play experience in being a bit superior and snooty like a high elf.

And if anyone could offer help to a newbie like me, it's appreciated, thank you! :-)

Try being just a normal, educated, snooty high elf with no major life changing events in their life.

The app team deals with enough

"My something was killed by something, now I spent my life training to avenge my something!"

They hate it sooo much.

I myself have no personal experience RPing as a High Elf, however... if you read all the Wiki and all the things that you said you did, you should have NO problem with your app getting accepted.

Make sure your definitions of Meta-gaming and Power-gaming are solid, your RP examples are amble, and your biography doesn't show yourself committing acts of villainy.

Other then that, you should be good! I hope your app gets accepted and you'll be in the server creating your story soon. ;)

First of all, welcome to Lord of the Craft.

I see you are eager to create an application and start roleplaying. So in order to help you with your application as requested I will give you some knowledge of my own. In becoming a High Elf you will be classed as a Mali'Harel do correct me if im wrong. In the Mali'Harel society if your not of pure Mali'Harel blood you best leave before they kill you. So its best to look into some of their lore ;)

Next of course you talked about hopefully becoming a princess, im sure were all glad to see a positive attitude for once. Becoming a Princess in the Princedom of Malinor will take some hard work, I'm sure if you be kind to everyone OOCly and RPly you will be asked to join their council at once. Next is if your going to join Mali'Harel society they do not consist of Princess but actually are made up of a council with weird prefixed names. As I said im not a Mali'Harel and have never fully looked into their lore. If im wrong someone please correct me.

My advice as a ex-application team member is, just relax and visual your character in the world of Lord of the Craft. Take a few moments to breathe every time you write and just enjoy it, the application process is the one of the best parts ;). I myself usually start off my biographies with "He/she was the son of blahblahblah [insert name]." as a brief summary for about 1-3 paragraphs then move onto a now, the present type of stage in my bio. Were I talk about recent events, or situations my character has been in within recent days, months or years rather than his childhood.

Good luck,

- Talf

Before focusing on becoming a Princess, try other stuff like farming, and what not. Get to know the server before you try to achieve something that'll take a lot of time out of your day. :]

Hmmmm.... Okay, I think my big question was answered. I'm not good at expressing what I want to say. Thanks for all the replies! Very helpful.

Also I was thinking of my skin changing as my character gets older, is that a good idea or will people get confused?

The hair gets longer, and since Elves sometimes dye their hair, she would dye it. Is that smart to do?

Yes it is. My character went from fourteen to eighteen and took on a like wise change. If you have problems with the hair changing you can just Google a easy skin editor and change it there.
