The Fumjanehac Pride

General Information

The Fumjanehac own a small den on an island. We welcome all that wish to join us. There is a small test to prove yourself worthy of joining. We accept Kha' with any work like miner, lumberjack, farmer, or a Do'. We will supply you with what you need. The Fumjanehac wish to rise in Kha' society with strength. We work together to achieve any and all of our goals. Laziness is looked down upon and the Fumjanehac want you to participate in everything they do together.

History

After the volcano that happened long before, Fumjanehac was split from the rest of the Kharajyr. They lived on their own, thinking they were the only Kha' left. Most of them were trained to fight. They used what they had to survive. They still believed in Metztli and would do anything for her and they still thought they were the perfect race. They each vowed to die for Metztli if it came to it.

At that time, they believed Metztli was talking to their leader, which they later deemed to be false. They thought she was telling them steal to benefit themselves. This changed their thoughts from wanting to slaughter apes and getting rid of other races to stealing, killing, and cheating the apes for their material items. A rebellious group had views against this. They saw it better to stray from greed and just annihilate the imperfect apes.

After a while of rather peaceful protests, violence started. The deceitful leader, Hassiri, noticed the violence early on and ordered his forces to be geared as well as possible. His complex home was guarded at all times by heavily armed guards and archers watching from the trees. Hassiri had his home decorated with the gold and other material looted from the apes. The Kha' that worked for him were mesmerized by greed. They fought for Hassiri so they too could be showered in materials.

As time went on, the violence became worse. The rebels fought in large groups and tried to pick off stray guards. Their leader was Ykemydo, father of the current leader, Ykemedo. They were not as well equipped as Hassiri's Kha, but Ykemydo convinced them to fight for what they believed in. The rebels main goal was to not let greed overcome them. They thought that if greed overcame them, they would be too distracted and would not notice a military preparing to attack them. They wanted to unite the two groups together again, with a common goal: to rid the world of undeserving apes.

When both groups realized that their arguments were going nowhere, Hassiri planned the first attack. He knew not of where the rebel's headquarters were, but he did know where they had been farming. If he knocked their food source out of the picture, the rebels would have to give up sooner or later. Hassiri sent 8 heavily armored Kha'(half were archers and half were swordsmen) to claim the farm as his land.

When the Kha' were near the farm, there was no one else in view. They slowly crept up and walked into the farm that laid near the heart of the jungle. The Kha' in charge of the group ordered the others to destroy the crop. As they started to do that, arrows went flying from trees. Hassiri's Kha' were caught off guard and as two swordsmen fell to the ground, bleeding from the arrows hitting a joint in the armor, the four archers returned fire into the trees. The heavily-armored Kha' had no cover and obviously had the disadvantage. After two more of Hassiri's Kha' fell to the ground, their leader ordered them to retreat.

Returning with disappointed expressions, Hassiri was outraged. He ordered half of his archers, which was around 11, to dominate the treetops. They couldn't let the enemy have the high ground. Hassiri set up small outposts around the land they owned to catch any rebels that tried to cross into Hassiri territory.

After many more smaller battles, a much larger fight lay ahead. Both sides saw it coming. The rebels readied all their forces. Hassiri ordered the rest of his supplies to be used to win this war. Neither side fully owned the treetops, the ground, or the water. They had been constantly been fighting over it all.

The day of the final battle was terrible. There was a nasty thunderstorm and many ocelots were roaming the jungles as if they'd lost their minds. Hassiri was fed up with the small fights, so he charged with his force to the heart of the jungle. He had archers scattered in the trees and heavily-armored Kha' guarding him on the ground. They stood there, waiting.. waiting for anything to happen. Hassiri, being the impatient Kha' that he is, flung his helmet off and ordered his guards to spread out and look for rebels. As soon as his guards dispersed, arrows flew from the trees, heading straight for Hassiri. Suprised once again by the rebels, a small portion of Hassiri's force fell at the beginning of the fight. Hassiri fell with them..

The battle raged on. Arrows flew through the trees and blood was flung around. Ykemydo fought with his forces, firing arrows one after another. At one point it seemed as if the tide of battle had turned. A few moments after that happened, lightning started to strike everywhere throughout the jungle. It only hit a few people, which all happened to be Hassiri's guards, and it made a few duck for cover. This was enough to give the rebels upper hand. They took advantage of this time and went head on with the enemy force. As they charged, the enemy force was starting to prepare. An arrow flew at the charging crowd and knocked Ykemydo to the ground. His force continued to charge without him.

Later that day, as the rain was ending, the remaining Kha' vowed to never let greed overcome them. Cleaning up the bodies was a gruesome task, but they worked together to do it. Hassiri was thrown into the water and the now peaceful pride tried to forget about him. When they came to Ykemydo's body, his three year old son, Ykemedo, burst into tears with his mother.

For 12 years, Ykemedo's mother lead the pride. This is why it is currently acceptable in the Fumjanehac pride for a female to have a lead role. After those 12 years, the leadership was passed down to Ykemedo. He did the best he could. He tried to keep peace, but he saw many problems. The storage rooms were going empty. Ykmedo had a big decision to make.

Ykemedo decided that they need to start mining and gathering for resources. He sent out teams of miners to bring back as much as they could. While everyone was distracted with hard work and were determined to bring the pride back to its former self, Ykemedo sent out one small, special team.

The job of this special team was to go into ape lands and slaughter apes, one after another. They were to bring the ape's belongings back to the storage rooms and not to speak of this job. Ykemedo told the pride that the group was only going to get rid of imperfect races. After the Fumjanehac's storage rooms were well filled, Ykemedo ordered the looting to stop.

He now only had a few rules for his Kha'. One: If you are going out to kill apes for the benefit of the Kharajyr, go with no less than 4 others. Two: If you loot from fallen enemies, only take a small portion. Three: Do you work to keep the storage chests full. All of these rules still apply today.

When Ykemedo was 20, the Fumjanehac was once again stable. They killed apes in order to strike fear into them and ensure that the Kha' are the only living race of the future. Their storage chests were always near full, but they kept greed from blinding them. Almost every one of them were trained in a form of fighting. No ape knew of their location, so they were safe from attacks. They preferred to have their enemies fear them instead of putting up a fight, even though each of the Kha' knew how to fight. They went many, stable years before any news or conflict.

13 years later, a new Kha' named Ri'Bukaknog woke up defenseless on the Fumjanehac island. Ykemedo was informed and he made his way with Tsavi down to Ri'Bukaknog and his wrecked ship. After a short time of talking, Ykemedo offered the new Kha' to stay in their den. He accepted and the pride took him in and took care of him. Ykemedo ordered a team to help in rebuilding the ship. The day before the ship was finished, Ri'Bukaknog informed the pride of where all the other Kha' are and what has happened since the volcano. He then offered the pride to come live with the other Kharajyr.

Ykemedo made his decision on whether to move the next day. He ordered two more ships to be built by his work teams. When the ships were finally built and loaded with everything the Fumjanehac owned, Ri'Bukaknog led the Kha' to their new home. The Fumjanehac, with their nasty history, were alive and well again.

Fumjanehac Customs

Females-Females can play a leading role in the FUmjanehac pride. It started when Ykemedo's mother lead the pride for 12 years. Ever since then, it has been acceptable for a female to have a leading role.

Meetings-The Fumjanehac try to meet once every 7 elven days(One real week). They discuss what has happened since the last time they met. If there are any big decisions that need to be made, there may be a meeting called before the set date. Then the members will debate over the issue and the two in leadership roles will make the final decision.

Kittens-Kittens are to stay near an adult member. They will not fight or have any jobs to do until the age of 15, which then there will be a small feast where every Kha' is invited.

Practice-The Fumjanehac practice their fighting skills often even without Ri'Bukaknog to guide them. This is because they have always trained together and they continue to do so now. Although they enjoy advice from those that are more experienced, they train whenever they have spare time.

Celebrations-The Fumjanehac enjoy celebrating. The celebrate for different reasons like:A kitten becoming 15, a successful fight with apes, a member getting a high rank in Kha' society, a new champion, etc. What they do to celebrate depends on how big the achievement was. They usually have cake at any of their celebrations.

Champions-The Fumjanehac have 2 champions. One for archery and one for swordsmanship. These two champions often practice together. To become a champion, you must challenge one of the current champions(For whichever you go for, swords or archery). The challenge will consist of three different battlegrounds and whoever wins the majority of the fights becomes champion(or keeps the title)
