Character Name: Earenniel (Ay-are-ehn-nee-ell)

What Race are you?: Elf

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): None

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): It was a cool afternoon. As the sun started to set, Calonan's ship rolled into the docks and started to weigh anchor. Calnonan was a good man, a bit rough around the edges but known for his honest and loving nature. He and his crew were busy at work loading cargo and tying up the ship when he heard a small noise coming from beneath one of his fish nets. Curious, he set down his task and went to investigate the sound. Under the net he found a baby, with curiously pointed ears and long blonde hair. En elf, no doubt. It was unclear how the child had ended up on his ship, but it was obvious that the poor creature's parents were nowhere near. Calnonan had nothing against elves, and being single he had no children for himself, so he made the decision to raise her himself.

Earenniel. Daughter of the ocean. That is what he named her. And, as the years went by she held true to her name. He showed her the ways of the sea, teaching her to fish and to said. She took ever bit of it in, always wanting to learn more, wishing she could stay out to see past the rising of he moon. This carried on for some time, but all good things must come to an end.

As the years past, Calnonan -being human- grew older and aged much faster than Earenniel. As he became an old man, she was still but a child, young and healthy. Sadly, Calnonan grew sick in his old age and was well on his way to meet his end. Knowing what was about to come, he called his elven daughter into his chambers. Slowly, with the last of his strength he explained to her where she had come from, and what she really was. This came as a small shock to the newly proclaimed elf, but she had long suspected that she was different from the humans that surrounded her. As she held her father's hand for the last time, he gave her instructions on how to reach the Elves.

For a time, Earenniel was content to stay within the human territory, but it was soon made clear that she was not welcome anymore. Without her father to defend her, the townspeople became angry with her presence. It became clear that she was no longer welcome, so she used her father's ship and set sail towards the Elves.

Now, only age 43, Earenniel begins a new life with the elves. She knows no one and has nothing, but has high hopes that those of her own race will be willing to accept her.

Other Information about your Character: Being raised by an honest man, she tends to stick up for what's right when provoked. Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

My character waltzes in between the two guards. "Excuse me gentlemen, but what business might you have with this young lad here?" One of the guards responds hotly "Our business is none of yours, elf, so kindly be on you're way." "I'm sorry sir, but if you're intent is to bully this lad into giving up his money then you are mistaken." The guards look at each other and grin. "Well, look at the pretty little elf what thinks she can dance in here and tell us what we can and can't do." Earenniel stands in silence for a moments. The guards take it as a sign that they have won, but, in reality she was concocting a plan. Looking down, she says "Here, take my money instead and leave the boy be." Thinking they had attained victory, the guards walk away satisfied. Just as they turn their backs, however, Earenniel uses a fishing knife to cut the guards' purses, taking back her money.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Earenniel spots the man and trots over excitedly. "Evening sir, I don't suppose you could cut me a bit of a deal could you? I'm new to town and I have but a few Minas and some fish to trade. I am in desperate need of a new fishing pole. Would you be willing to make me a trade?" "Well of course my dear! Let's av' a deal here ay? I'de be willing to spare an extra pole of mine here for 20 Minas and a fish. Sound like a deal ma'am?" "Oh thank you sir! I really do owe you and I intend to pay you back somehow I insist!"

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Earenniel peers into the chest to see the items within. Valuable no doubt, but not worth the risk that someone else may actually own them. She could not live with a possible theft on her conscience and although valuable, she does not have much use for the items the chest contains. She closes the chest and continues into the wild, satisfied that she had not taken anything.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Earenniel wanders into the camp, exhausted. "Please, I'm really very sorry to have to ask this of me, but could you manage to spare just a slight amount of food for me? I am dreadfully lost and I ran out of provisions a while ago." The strangers gladly share their food and kindly point her in the right direction. "Oh thank you very much. I feel awful taking food from you without some sort of compensation. Please, come seek me out and I will repay my debt. I am a fisherman and would be happy to repay you with some of my fish." The strangers accept her offer, listen to her instructions on how to find her. So after She heads on her way again, pleased to have met such generous people.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: She accepts the offer, but not all for the money. Bullies such as bandits disturb the peace and should be dealt with accordingly. She heads out with the patrol, ambushing the bandits with a slew of arrows and then dealing the last blow with a sword, wanting to face these treacherous foes head on before they perished. Then when all was said and done she collected her reward, but only half of what was offered. She felt that because she was also doing her duty as a proper and honest citizen she only deserved half of what was offered to her.

Anything else you would like to say?: I'm really looking forward to joining this community.
