How old are you?: 14

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: East Coast USA

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: yes

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I play Minecraft often and enjoy Roleplay servers best. The combination of Minecraft and RPG games is excellent.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: At least 2 hours daily usually.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: It is being able to create a different personality and act as them.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have been on many roleplaying servers, including faction servers, where i have made many friends and had fun.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: acting on knowledge that only the player has access to in a game-altering way

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Doing something absolutely unrealistic and even impossible that can only be done in RP. I.e. Cutting through diamond armor with a hoe in combat

What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect it to be fun and addictive as well as a good community.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have been on numerous servers, i.e. Keystone Survival, ImDeity, VeteranCraft, and MassiveCraft (my favorite). My favorite role-play server is becoming too crowded with new players, the host keeps crashing, and there is not a good community (spammers, trolls, absolute jerks) so I hope to find a great role-play server to replace it with.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: yes

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: yes

How did you hear about us?: http://minecraft-mp.com/server-s635

Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: Yes, this is my fourth application. The first was submitted (and denied) on June 27th and is not in the denied section. I was not able to find the area where I can request my old application and I apologize. The 2nd was 2 days ago and is titled “Epix37’s Application Submission”. I was only told to change my definition of power-emoting, but even though it was correct for the third, it was denied. It was called “Epix37’s 3rd Application Submission”.

In-Character:

Character Name: Elessar

What Race are you?: Elf

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Mali’Aheral (High Elf)

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Elessar Starfollower, a High Elf from a semi-prominent family, was born in Laurelin before the fall of Aegis. His father, Eliándrel, followed the path of his favorite uncle and was a renowned merchant in the capital of that time. His mother, Kalindra, was brave and chose the path of the warrior. Elessar grew up among his many cousins, who lived nearby, and studied at Haelun’or College. However, Elessar preferred to walk in the woods and visit other cities than to study and be rational. All went well until the forces of Undead invaded. His mother died in the defense of Sanjezal, one of the few casualties. Feeling they had no reason to stay in Aegis, Elessar and his father moved to Asulon. After everyone else arrived, Elessar went to be with the other elves in Malinor, while Eliándrel stayed in his small hut in the forest as a hermit. Elessar stayed in Normandor for a while, but he did not like the large number of people. As he had lost contact with his cousins and father, he decided to wander the realm of Asulon and see what it had to offer.

In the fifth year of wandering, Elessar found one of his long-lost cousins, Grother. He had lost all of his limbs to a horde of Undead as he was going to Laurelin to escape Aegis. Luckily, he had been rescued by a group of warriors headed the same way and brought to Asulon. Elessar took care of him along with Grother’s wife for 10 years. Finally, the sickness in side of him overcame him and Grother passed in his sleep. Once again, Elessar took to the road (after helping Grother’s widow, of course). He decided to go to the Holy Oren Empire to live among humans for a time. While there, he met a beautiful woman named Esmeralda. He was struck dumb in her presence and wished to stay with her forever. Unfortunately, because of Iblee’s curse, he would not be able to be with her. Elessar gave he his mother’s brooch, covered in gleaming diamonds and lapis, so she would always remember him. She did, and never paid attention to any other man for the rest of her 89 year old life. He quickly departed from the human kingdoms after leaving Esmeralda, and Elessar stayed in the Cloud Temple studying to be a monk for years. His ancestors haunted him because of the fact that he wasn’t being rational. He left the temple seeing that religion was not meant for him. He has since been walking the roads throughout Asulon, searching the small towns and cities in the land for a place to call home. Now in the 127th year of his life, Elessar feels that he must soon find a home and wife or he will wander aimlessly forever.

Elessar is 127 years old, stands 6 feet and 1 inch tall, and has luxurious platinum blonde hair that falls past his shoulders. He has a stripe of cyan on the back of his head, and his hair is usually pulled back out of his face. Elessar is outgoing for the most part, but after being near others for extended periods of time, he becomes grumpy and reclusive. He enjoys flirting with beautiful women of all races and has bestowed many a favor in his time. Sadly, Esmeralda has faded from his memory for the most part, but when he hears that name, a great sorrow overtakes him.

What are your character’s ambitions?: Elessar desires more than anything to take a wife and settle down before he becomes too accustomed to traveling and is cursed to wander forever.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): A sword, as the High Elves prefer

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Archery, a personal favorite of Elessar’s, despite the High Elves usually being better with magic

Other Information about your Character: Elessar prefers to travel alone but at times will accept faithful companions and assist other travelers. He has a soft spot for brandy.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? “Greetings, warriors,” Elessar starts. “What in the name of Aeriel are you doing to this halfling?”

“Begging your pardon, Mr. Elf. We was just getting’ back a stolen jewel from a purty lady that this fella stole,” said one warrior.

Is that so…? wondered Elessar. He quickly threw a potion of harming II at the brigands and ran off with the Halfling. Once out of sight, he took the jewel to return to the pretty woman and threw the Halfling in the gutter.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? “Hello,” said Elessar, “I would like to browse your wares.”

“Ah. A customer,” stated the merchant. “I have a special item today, the golden hoe of Ilberath, a halfling hero of Aegis. It is guaranteed to be the best hoe in all of Alras.”

“A hoe you say?” asked Elessar. “I will pay very little for such a trivial object. I will only pay 25 minas.”

“Very well, take the hoe. It will bring great harvests.”

As Elessar was walking away with his new “treasure”, he noticed an engraving on the side of the handle. It said “Made in Branborough”. The hoe could hardly have been authentic if it was supposed to be an artifact from Aegis, but it was made in Asulon! He had been scammed once again!

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: “I should take these items for myself,” Elessar said to himself. “There is no one around and this cottage looks desolate.”

“And who are you to say what my cottage looks like?” A beautiful elf woman walked into the hut behind him. “I am Tanya, the sorceress of these woods. Unluckily for you, I am in need of a new servant. Take a seat, this won’t take long.” She began to chant in Elven and Elessar felt himself become sleepy and unwilling to resist her spell.

“Witch!” he screamed. “Release me at once, or I will have your head! Do not enchant me! I would be a poor servant and spit in your porridge! Take me as a husband instead and I will visit you everyday.”

Then the witch said, “Perfect. I knew this would happen when I saw your dazzling eyes. We will be together forever. Here, take the items in this chest as a token of our love.”

“Thank you, my love,” Elessar responded. “I must use the loo. I will return shortly.” He sprinted off into the woods never to return to his fiancée’s hut ever again.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond? “Hello traveler!” shouted a trader from the woods. “Come back to my camp and join my friends and I for dinner.”

“Many thanks, stranger. I am weary and desire a place to stay,” Elessar replied. “I can pay for lodging and supper with the few minas I have.”

“No need, good sir. Your involvement with dinner will pay for anything you need from us,” said the trader with a smirk.

Later that night, the traders in the camp were preparing for supper, and Elessar walked in. “Elf! Care to stand here and stir the cauldron of broth?” the cook asked.

“Certainly, ma’am. I am willing to help with anything. Except for being the main course,” he joked.

“Why lad, you have foiled our scheme. That was our plan all along. Now you must die!” The cook charged him with a large, long knife.

He side-stepped and the cook fell into the boiling cauldron and died painfully. He then retrieved his bow and shot arrows through the hearts of all of the other cannibals in the traders’ camp.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: “I must speak to the Captain of the Guard in private,” Elessar demanded at hearing the announcement. He despised weak bandits and hoped to slay them for no reward.

“This is he,” replied the Captain, clearly annoyed. “What may I help you with?”

“I am Elessar Starfollower! Perhaps you have heard of me. I desire to kill these bandits singlehandedly, to rid the world of a few more lowly scum such as these. I require a full quiver of arrows, Elven made, to dispatch the highwaymen.”

“You demand much, and your ego is large. I will have to lock you in cuffs to make this contest fair. Guards! Take him away!” shouted the corrupt Captain. A team of ten guards arrived and forced Elessar into submission, then led him to the town lock-up.

“You will all pay for this!” Elessar shouted as he was dragged behind bars. “You will feel my revenge for ages to come!” Luckily, he had stored his magic skeleton key in his secret glove pocket. It could open any lock in the world, except for Dwarven-made safes. Those were too hard to open. The moronic guards had forgotten to remove his gloves, so the key was still in its compartment. He used it to unlock both his handcuffs and the cell door. Running out of the lock-up, he noticed the Captain bothering a pretty young woman. “Devil!” he shouted at the officer. “Behold your retribution!” He placed the pretty gal on his back and rammed the Captain in the back so hard that he fell into the fountain in the town square. The fountain was filled with sewer water, for fresh water would be too expensive, so the corrupt Captain earned a good punishment. Putting the woman down in front of the inn, Elessar rushed off into the woods and killed the bandits painfully and grotesquely. He returned to the inn, where he would be staying for a few more days.

“Brave hero,” started the pretty woman, whose name was unfortunately Tanya (just like Elessar’s ex-fiancée). “I want to spend the whole rest of my life with you!”

“Tanya, the rest of the night will have to suffice.” To be continued…

Anything else you would like to say?: Please accept this because I have been bullied off of my favorite server and I would absolutely LOVE to play on Lord of the Craft. Thanks. -Eric
