Preparations For Branfest

In Character:

Bili Hollowmead walks out of the inn with a smile on his face, and his cheeks rosy red. His stomach aches from laughter, as he has just had a marvelous time at The Drunken Sheep. As he slowly walks past the storage burrow, he notices tents for the upcoming Branfest being set up by other halflings. With a guilty expression on his face, Bili approaches the Elders, and begins to speak.

"Greetin's, Elders. I jus' came 'round t'e corner, and saw all o' ye workin' alone... If needs be, I can ge' a few o' me friends te come 'elp out. Wha' needs te be done?"

Out of Character:

I think we should all be putting in a helping hand with Branfest, as it will overall tie us closer together and make a more satisfying event. What needs to be done? Should we be gathering supplies, or getting ready to run booths? I would just love to help make this event run, if that's possible. Thanks for listening!

*Faldo notices young Bili, and greets him, exchanging nonchalant pleasantries about this and that, village gossip and what not, and begins to tell him what needs to be done for Branfest to be a success, and what people are required to do*

OOC: Currently our supplies are fine, we have enough cake and ale to sink a battleship, however depending on how many turn up our supplies of buckets may run a bit low, however people are encouraged to bring their own.

Really we need people to run stalls, I know Lobo (Beneh) is going to be running the food and drink stall, and currently unsure who will be running the workshop and fishing. Sorsby is the master fisherman so hopefully he can do that, and I believe Roxanne expressed an interest in running the workshop but nothing is definite. Just a general helping hand would be nice. Without a stall you can always play a Bard, telling stories, singing songs and playing music could add to the atmosphere. If you have any ideas of your own then I'm all ears.

OOC:

I wouldn't mind being a storyteller at all, actually. If you remember the story, Ghost of the Singing Maiden, written by Bili's father, Rill... I could always do that. Tonight I'll write up a few fables and adventures, things like that.

'ere, Bili, lad, 'ow good is yer fishin'? We need rods an' boats crafted fer the tourneys, ye wouldn't be able ta make some, would ya?

OOC: Good stuff, just to keep people interested and fascinated in halfling culture, while keeping things enjoyable as a whole during the event. What's your fishing level? We're in need of well crafted rods and boats for the tourney and races.

"Well, if ye give me a fishin' rod, I'll catch'ye a fish... Bu' I' won' necessarily be a big'un."

OOC:

I believe it's only around 15 or 20 right now, unfortunately.

Per'aps ye could try yer luck in the tourney! A Halfling is no match when 'e 'as a fishing rod in 'is 'ands.

*Faldo continues to lay out the vast amount of cake on the tables, getting awfully excited for the festivities*

((Alright, hopefully Sorsby can get on and make us some boats and fishing rods soon then. For now everyone can start creating little RP items to sell at stalls, and interest people during the event. We don't have much dazzling gems to flaunt so let's show everyone what we can do with what we have))

((should I play as a halfling? Today I have the sudden urge to.))

((I feel a sense of...happiness now. I must create my halfling character, anyone know of a deceased halfling I can say I'm obscurely related to?))

((The Sturdyfoots haven't been seen for a while, try them.

Less OOC in this thread, too, please. Keep it RP.))
