Seeking Books On Magic

*the writing on the piece of paper nailed to the notice board is sloppy and unpracticed, but legible*

As I seem to have exhausted the library of this city and several others I am seeking rare books containing knowledge of magic in any and all forms. I am willing to pay for rare and valuable information, both from books and word of mouth, about magic and how it works. Contact Leyu Khel'onn (Adagea) if you believe you may know or have something that I do not.

*posts a note below it. It is perfectly legible.*

Magic is a natural, organic process that you should learn. Not by word of mouth. I suggest you seek out the Mage's College in Hansetii.

You will find that any good Conjurer does not simply right his spells and words of power down onto paper for all to see. After all, a magician never tells his secrets, and so often you will NEVER find a book directly teaching you spells, or anything of the sort.

* pens a response to the inquiry

Your request is a perfectly acceptable one as written tomes can be found that detail information regarding the mechanics of the arts. As I understand from my brief meeting with ye prior ye are a researcher of sorts in your spare time, not a powermad fool dregging for tomes of power. It tis nigh impossible to lay hands upon a tome teaching ye the magical arts or spells directly, however many libraries hold books on the mechanics of the arcane. Magicians are a secretive and oft-times a wee paranoid lot but ye should not let that get ye down. I'd be happy to aid ye hobby and converse while I cannot offer any hidden bits of powerful knowledge there's enough been written or known on the eldritch that may aid ye in your research. Stop by Crestfall for a bit of custom-brewed ale and a fire-side chat. Worry not about payment, for your curiosity is a valuable trait.

*To return and see several notices on the board attached to hers surprises Leyu, and as she reads she finds the conflicting messages almost funny*

To the first, I could gain no entrance into Hansetii, and for all I could tell it was abandoned at the time of my arrival. I'll try again another time.

To the second, I didn't expect it to be so easy, and in fact welcome the challenge. However every book written by someone with knowledge of magic has a magic of its own, fragments of important knowledge that when put together can make whole truths. That knowledge itself is incredibly important and fundamental, which is why I seek it out.

And to Polgrath, the only one to leave a name, I imagine that we should meet soon and discuss such things. Indeed, I have no real use for power but knowledge itself is something that I crave. Action and reaction, push and pull, magic is a part of many things in the world that I had not imagined possible. What I seek is a knowledge of what magic is and does, and from there I may or may not pursue it further.
