Even if you have rules you do not like, you must agree to them all.

Your open-response questions were void of details, I advise looking them over and expanding upon them. They should be done as if telling a story, be it third or first person perspective, and in past-tense.

Your skin must be in a screenshot, not a net.

Please do not edit your previous application, else I might overlook it. Rather, make a new post.

MC Name: SirPrestonII

RP Name: Greenwood

Character Age: 19

Personality, i.e. tendencies, weaknesses, strengths, temptations, etc.: Very curious about the mechanics of the world, nature, and the essence of life. Always looking for something to stick his head into! He is friendly, respectfull and WILL bow to everyone, no matter how agrevated he gets.

OOC reasons you should be a monk: I have been on LOTC for a long time, around the begining, but I stopped playing for about 5 months. When I joined, and now, my RP is quite slow as I am relatively new and my character is kind of hard to really engage in great RP. I think that by joining the Monks, it will not only help ME gain RP experience and have more fun, but I think I can set a good example for those who get stuck on this server just as I did; that there is always something for them to do and have fun with.

IC reasons your character wishes to be a monk: Greenwood is extremely fond of the world, history, and cultures of Asulon. He believes that by joining the Monks, he will be unlocked to the full library of what, exactly, the world has to show and teach him. Although his will to heal is not really the most profound, he is indeed happy to help any and all, but mostly he wishes to join for the benifit of his personal knowledge and understanding.

Brief Bio: Greenwood was origionally born in a small tribe on the outskirts of Asulon. In this tribe the boys are born with several dots on their heads, each dot represents a period in their life of great understanding. Once atleast half of the periods are completed, you must go to the forest, woods, desert, or taiga, and live there without food (but with water) for 1 week or until you are contacted by a spirit. Only then, you may be given a name. Origionally, my characters name was Young_Boy! Most boys were born with 2-3 dots, but my character was born with SIX dots! The tribe new he was destined for great acheivments and huge understanding! But... soon, his tribe perished by a horrible storm, but alas, Young Boy was saved by the Passive animals of the wilderness. After his life passes, he has completed 4 of 6 periods. As he goes to the forest, he is there and drink only the water of the stream he followed. On the last day of his journey, ready to give up, he steps out of the forrest. On looking the plains of existence. When "Ccchhkkkk CRASH" A tree lands on him, Crushing his left leg! The huge tree lands, covering his eyes in green, lush leaves. As he struggles to escape, is realises there is no pain. Inside the tree, lies his leg, resting in an owls hole, safe. Green for the leaves, so luch, wood for the tree, the mighty tree which gave him life. Completing his 5th periodic understanding. Alas, Greenwood, was born a second time.

Do you agree to follow the server rules, and that of the monks?: Yes, I agree to follow ALL rules to the best of my abilities!

Knowledge of the Triumvirate (Including names, celestial bodies, a bit of backstory, etc.): The Celestial Triumvirate, as Keldrith, Rellenia, and Tariel came to be called, became deities in their own right, demigods of the sun, moon, and stars.

A large orc comes up to you clutching a battleaxe. He roars a curse, before shouting, "MI KLOMP LATZ!" Respond as your character.

Knowing that orcs do not posses a scence of humor, Greenwood knows that the orc is not joking. His fingures move rapidly as he tries to stimulate his mind to think of a solution. He spits out quickly:

"Please, large scary orc! I am not worthy of denting your fierce battle axe! To stain your clothes would be an insult to yourself!"

"NUB! MI KLOMP LATZ NUW!" He thrusts his axe into the air, and just then, Greenwood Darts!

"GAHHH!!!" The orc throws the axe and it slices through the air, making a whisp as it flies. Greenwood dives, dodging the axe as it hits the trees next to him, cutting it down flat.

Greenwood huffs and is out of breath. "Big, large, scary orc; dont attack me, I have done nothing!"

"NUUUUBB!!!" He is quickly aproaching. Retreiving his axe from the tree, he begins to hack away at all the trees, clearing them down. Greenwood is only 3 trees away!

Greenwood thinks fast and throws a rock in the oppisite direction of himself.

"HAHA! MI FOUND YU SHARA!!"

The orc stroms off, leaving behind the trampled forest trees and the half scared to death Greenwood.

A tall elf, glimmering in golden robes, steps up to you. He tsks lightly and asks, "Where are the monks?" Respond.

Greenwood *bows

"Why, I am right here! Of Course! How may I help such a Fine gentleman?"

"You, are a monk? You are a MONK? You dont even look like a peasent! I demand to see the monks now!"

"Wise elf, Us monks to not segregate others based on social status. We see all equally and treat none differently. I, as all othe--

"I dont care of your pitty stories, show me the monks now! I am getting hungry!"

"Of course sir. Here are a few fresh cut melons. I hope they mee--

"Melons?! I dont want melons!! Fish! Chicken! Beef! P-O-R-K! Do you understand? Illiterate peasent!"

"As you wish sir, there are many different meats at the Monk Temple. I shall take you there if you wish sir."

"Finally! Yes! To the temple! Take me there! TOO THE MONKS!! GAH!"

A weary traveler comes to the temple. Meek and tired, sweat marking his brow as he speaks, and an immanense sadness within his words, "W-where am I.. And how do I get water .. Or food?." How do you respond?

Greenwood *bows

"You have made it to the Sanctuary, where you can be safe and properly treated."

"Water... Please... food.."

Greenwood reaches into his bag and pulls out his fresh melons.

"Here you are good sir, eat these."

But the man is Far to weak to eat the melons on his own. Greenwood procedess to break apart the melons to smaller bits and places them into the poor mans mouth. He then helps the man chew and swallow the tasty melons.

Feeling refreshed slightly, Greenwood help the man to the fountains in the front of the Monk Temple where he places the poor man in the water.

"T-thank you..." he says as he lays there, Greenwood holding his head up, slowly drinking the water of the fountain.

MC Name: TheDerpyBeagle

RP Name: Kaneth

Character Age: 29

Personality, i.e. tendencies, weaknesses, strengths, temptations, etc.: Kaneth is a very friendly person, eager to help others. He also loves reading and learning, as that is part of the reason he wants to be a monk. He is rather scared of war and violence, and sees the Sanctuary as a peaceful place.

OOC reasons you should be a monk: Well, I have always liked Monk's roleplay, and was going to apply before only to see the apps closed. I think that it would be fun to roleplay as one. Besides that, I want to get people to know me better OOC, and I think hanging around Sanctuary where the most Roleplay happens and helping people as a monk can get me more noticed.

IC reasons your character wishes to be a monk: When Kaneth's parents died of disease, they hadn't counted on it, and they never gave their mina savings to Kaneth. This left him not being able to pay for his home, and became homeless quickly. He was broke and could not give a sufficient talent to Asulon - he was not strong enough to become a guard, and was not skilled enough to craft or farm. Then he discovered the Sanctuary, it's monks, it's libraries - Kaneth loved reading, and it's joy and wonder, he couldn't see any conflict once so ever. So he decided to become a monk, he had nothing to lose, no home, and he could learn and give knowledge, something he desired greatly.

Do you agree to follow the server rules, and that of the monks?: Yes, and I will try to follow them to the best of my ability.

Knowledge of the Triumvirate (Including names, celestial bodies, a bit of backstory, etc.): The people Keldrith, Rellenia, and Tariel are known as the Celestial Triumvirate, and when they died the creator made them into a Diamond(the moon), a bar of Gold(the sun), and a gem of Lapis Lazuli(the stars).

A large orc comes up to you clutching a battleaxe. He roars a curse, before shouting, "MI KLOMP LATZ!" Respond as your character. Kaneth stares at the Orc, speechless. He didn't know what to say. Then he thought of it: some Orcs think that the Monks use "evil magic". So he could threaten the Orc with lies. He grinned, and started to speak:

"Orc! I am a Monk! I will use my Dark Magic to remove your honor, and Krug will smite you!"

The Orc roars, and picks Kaneth up. He presses him against a tree.

"LATZ NUB DO DAT! IV LATZ DO DAT, MI KLOMP LATZ, SKAHER! IV LATZ UZE MOJO, MI KLOMP LATZ, SKAHING SKAHER!"

Kaneth was terribly frightened, but tried to remain calm. He then said "over there!" to the Orc, pointing to the opposite direction. "There is 3 Dwarves making fun of you!"

"STOWTZ?" the Orc says, turning around.

Kaneth then dived in behind the Notice Board, and stayed there. The Orc saw nothing and roared with rage. He could not find Kaneth, so he left, disappointed.

A tall elf, glimmering in golden robes, steps up to you. He tsks lightly and asks, "Where are the monks?" Respond.

Kaneth smiles at the Elf, bowing to him.

"Monk Kaneth, at your service."

The Elf smiles back.

"I... my friend... he is hurt... he needs healing..."

Kaneth knew he couldn't yet heal, but to avoid embarrassment, he said he could help. He knew a little bit about healing... he read a few books or two, but Kaneth was dreadful about the outcome of his lie. The Elf led Kaneth to his home, and Kaneth frowned when he saw the patient. It was a cut on his chest, most likely from a sword or knife. Even HE could fix that. Kaneth told the Elf to get some water, and cleaned the wound, to avoid infection. Then, Kaneth applied bandages, wrapping them around the man, until the bleeding stopped. Kaneth smiled, feeling accomplished.

"Thank you!" the Elf and his friend said, smiling.

A weary traveler comes to the temple. Meek and tired, sweat marking his brow as he speaks, and an immanense sadness within his words, "W-where am I.. And how do I get water .. Or food?." How do you respond?

Kaneth smiles at the man, but also feels sorrow for him.

"You are in the Cloud Temple, friend. You are safe. Here is water and food."

Kaneth pulls out a small canteen of water; the man needed it more then Kaneth did. He also takes out a Potato, and hands them both to the man. It looks like he can eat, but his movements were very shaky. Kaneth could ask him what happened later.

MC Name:Soresan

RP Name:Sylvos Midwater

Character Age: 20

Personality, i.e. tendencies, weaknesses, strengths, temptations, etc.:

Sylvos is a very friendly person and respectful towards others. He almost never resorts to violence, but even he can take so much without getting angry. He's often too trusting of people, even Orcs, which can sometimes have him taken advantage of.

OOC reasons you should be a monk: I've seen plenty of people play as a monk and I feel like it'd be a very interesting roleplay I could get into. It looks very fun despite the responsibilities. Plus I feel like I can strongly relate to the monks, as I love helping people in real life as much as I can!

IC reasons your character wishes to be a monk: Sylvos enjoys helping people a lot. However, his farming "powers" of food providing can only go so far. He's seen how the monks work and how well they help people, and beleives that he can help people more if he were a monk. Not to mention it'd give his daughter a good role model to always be compassionate.

Do you agree to follow the server rules, and that of the monks?: Yes, I do.

Knowledge of the Triumvirate (Including names, celestial bodies, a bit of backstory, etc.): The Celestial Triumvirate consist of three dieties. The first, Keldrith. The second, Rellenia. And the third, Tariel. The three represent the Sun, the moon, and the stars. The sun is represented by gold, the moon by diamond, and the Stars by Lapis Lazuli.

A large orc comes up to you clutching a battleaxe. He roars a curse, before shouting, "MI KLOMP LATZ!" Respond as your character.

Sylvos blinks at the axe. He slowly backs away, placing a hand on the axe and trying to lower it, peacfully and sweetly smiling up at the Orc. "Greetings, Son of Krug. I'm sorry, but there is no fighting within this sanctuary, nor would I want to fight you if there was..." He waves his arms around to show how skinny his arms are. "I'm sure you'd flatten me within a second!" He chuckles lightly.

The Orc grunts, sending spittle onto Sylvos' face, which he quickly whipes off and shudders slightly. "Shakin ryde! Mi kuld flat lad in ash zecund! Punny Albai!" The orc spat. Sylvos continued his smile, trying to make peace. "Why not sit and have a drink? I hear there's a great bar in Arethor that sells some cheap ale. I'd give you some money, but I myself have none." He said regretfully. The Orc shook his head. "Mi wunt tah klomp!!" He repeated, more angered. Sylvos held up his hands slightly. "Then perhaps wait for night? There should be plenty of unpleasent beasts roaming around that you can "Klomp"." He said. Bored, the Orc left, hefting his axe over his shoulder. In relief, Sylvos sighs, holding his stomach. "Horrifying..."

A tall elf, glimmering in golden robes, steps up to you. He tsks lightly and asks, "Where are the monks?" Respond.

Sylvos tried his best to not roll his eyes straight to the back of his head. Instead, he uses all his acting skills, though they are few, to plant a smile on his face. "Greetings, son of Malin. I am a monk. My name is Sylvos. How may I serve you this fine da-" The Elf cuts Sylvos off blatently. "Yes yes, that's very nice. Now, I require a large ammount of food. Now. Oh, and someone to carry it." The Elf looks him up and down and sighs. "You'll have to do I suppose..." Sylvos blinked at the man's request. "I'm sorry, sir, but the food is for the meek and needy... You seem to be quite rich... Can you simply not buy the food?" Sylvos asks politly, raising a brow in a quizzical manner. The elf scoffs at Sylvos, shaking his head. "How dare you?! My farm was razed to the round by... Erm... Orcs! and I lost my family! and so i'm rebuilding but I need food first. Chop chop." He claps his hands on the "Chop chop". Sylvos sighs, and walks to the sanctuary, gathering a small chest of food and handing it to the Elf. The man glares at him with venom in his eyes. "What is this?! This is hardly anything!!" The Elf shouted. Sylvos frowned. "Food must be portioned so everyone can get enough. You cannot have all of it while others less fortunate have none..." Sylvos said. The Elf pointed in his face and spat through his teeth. "You WILL hear from me again!" He slammed the chest on the ground and stormed out of the sanctuary. Sighing, Sylvos kneels down, gathering the chest and taking it back to the donations chest.

A weary traveler comes to the temple. Meek and tired, sweat marking his brow as he speaks, and an immanense sadness within his words, "W-where am I.. And how do I get water .. Or food?." How do you respond?

Blinking, Sylvos rushes to the man, helping him up. "Oh my, sir... You must be tired... Come with me, I will show you rest." He said, helping the man walk to his room, giving him his staff to use as a walking stick. He gently lies the man on the bed, and looks him over for wounds, which there were none. "You are in the Wilven Sanctuary. My name is Sylvos, a monk here. Please, lie here, if you would, while I go gather food and water for you." He said, gently patting the man's hand as he rushes out to retreive food and water. When he comes back, he gently places the bottle in the man's hands, helping him sit up so he can drink and eat. "How did you become so weary, friend?" Sylvos asked. After drinking the water hastilly, and scarfing the food down, the man sighs, whipping his mouth. "Well... My farm was burned down to the ground by bandits who chased me out into the wilds... I lost my sense of direction and... And wound up here... And I have no clue what to do now..." He said, resting his hands on his lap as he sobbed. Sylvos smiled friendly at him. "It is ok, friend. You may rest here for as long as you want, and I shall personally take care of you for as long as you need." Sylvos said, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Both of the previous applications were very well done, and I do apologize for not reviewing sooner. I have had some up and downs with LoTC as of late, but an event today has somewhat locked me in, at least for the time being. If you have a skype, adding -redacted- would be a good idea in order to keep in touch, and I will assist as soon as possible. As to the question about the skin, yes you will need a skin without the robes so that you might RPly acquire them, and I believe I answered the second question already.

MC Name:

Eenhoornheid

RP Name:

Arya Orchid

Character Age:

142

Personality, i.e. tendencies, weaknesses, strengths, temptations, etc.:

Arya is very good at keeping calm in sticky situations and has the tendency to sing when she is not (not calm, I mean) , she always ~tries~ to stay kind to everyone. Arya often keeps to herself and stays in the shadows until needed. She adores flowers, trees and pretty much everything living, except for Orcs. Because of her time she lived amongst the High Elves of Haelun’or she is disgusted by them. She loves her children: Layla and Kamari and is very protective of them. She is extremely frightend of thunder and lightning after the death of her dear friend, Mithro when she was a child. After the death of her husband Ereinion she tends to talk to herself or more to a figment of her imagination that represents her husband.

OOC reasons you should be a monk:

I think it’ll be a good opportunity to have some other kind of RP than I usually have. The monks seem peaceful enough for my character and I do like helping people anyways.

IC reasons your character wishes to be a monk:

Arya has always been very helpful. She is looking for a peaceful life away from her old one. Arya is very keen to learn the trait of healing, for others and her own family it would be a nice addition. She thinks her life might take a turn for the best if she becomes one of the monks.

Do you agree to follow the server rules, and that of the monks?:

Well, of course I agree! Otherwise I wouldn’t be here, aye!

Knowledge of the Triumvirate (Including names, celestial bodies, a bit of backstory, etc.):

Keldrith, Rellenia and Tariel became each a stone: a gold bar, a diamond and a piece of lapis lazuli, because the Creator took pity on their souls when they died in the barren wasteland what is now the Wilven Sanctuary. After a child found the stones they became a heavenly body: Keldrith became the golden sun, Rellenia the shining moon and Tariel the twinkling stars.

A large orc comes up to you clutching a battleaxe. He roars a curse, before shouting, "MI KLOMP LATZ!" Respond as your character.

Arya blinks a few times and puts on her best fake smile.

“Sir, I am sorry to say but ‘klomping’ would be very unwise to do.”

Arya nods, pursing her lips.

“Yes, I understand you like to klomp, Sir Uruk, but it is not allowed here. Please, make your way to the nearest exit and klomp your heart away there. Thank you.”

She briskly turns and glides away, her robes trailing behind her.

A tall elf, glimmering in golden robes, steps up to you. He tsks lightly and asks, "Where are the monks?" Respond.

She raises an eyebrow.

“Now, now, Mali, no need to speak so bruskly. We do ~have~ all the time in the world.”

A polite smile appears on her face.

“The monks are right here, where they are supposed to be, sir.”

“Yes, I shall do what I can for your wife.”

Arya follows the Elf to his abode and helps his wounded wife as best as she can.

A weary traveller comes to the temple. Meek and tired, sweat marking her brow as she speaks, and an immense sadness within her words, "W-where am I.. And how do I get water .. Or food?." How do you respond?

(I edited the traveller’s gender, just to mix it up a bit.)

A frown appears on her face.

“Shh, all is well, madam. You are at the Wilven Sanctuary. I can retrieve some food for you and water, of course.”

Arya gestures to a bench.

“Please, sit down. You shall be taken care of.”

Arya briskly hurries off to retrieve some water and bread for the woman.

Skin:

kCLQ5.png

Anything else:

Arya will mostly pray to Tariel, for he became Lapis. As oddly as this sounds I will explain. When Arya was still married to Ereinion she was a part of the tribe called the Warhawkes which her husband was the Chieftain of. The Warhawkes worshipped Lapis deeply and it rubbed off on Arya. Very nicely done, and a pleasure to accept, however, the monks are currently in a sort of limbo as 2.5 and 3.0 are in production. When it's possible, meet Lucian in game during 2.5/3.0 and we'll arrange the in game preparations.
