Character Name: Tiaphus Rennagog Vittiness

What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : Human

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): No sub race.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Tiaphus lead a good life, living in a little wheat farming cottage in the wilds with his mother and father. Bandits were never much of a problem, as his father was strong enough to keep them at bay. Every now and again, Tiaphus got to take the wheat harvest with his father to see the city, And sometimes, he would meet up with Madeline. She was a beautiful girl, and Tiaphus had a bit of a crush on her.

As time went by, and Tiaphus grew older, he was able to bring the harvest to town himself. He would often stay long periods of time, spending his time with Madeline. They were a perfect pair. They would wander the city, see the sights, and share a laugh with each other. They were inseparable. Indeed it was the perfect life for Tiaphus.

One day, when Tiaphus was out to sell the wheat he and his family grew, he snuck along the alleyways as not to be caught by his lover. He sold the wheat, then used his own money to buy a little something more. He entered the square of the town, his hand behind his back. Madeline spotted him and smiled, running up to him, and asked were he'd been. He told her he'd show her, and got down on one knee. Madeline gasped as he took the ring from behind his back and held it up to her, asking "Madeline...Will you marry me?" She squealed with delight, answering "Yes!" with utmost happiness in her heart. It was official. The two were to be married in five days time. The two couldn't be happier. That is, until that unfortunate day...

The couple were fleeing for their life from the cottage in the wilderness, trying to escape from the large group of bandits. All was going well so far. "It'll be ok!" Tiaphus kept saying, urging Madeline along. Then from behind, an archer's arrow flew, aiming directly for Tiaphus' chest. Madeline saw the arrow and called out Tiaphus' name, jumping in front of the arrow, taking it in her heart for him. She fell to the ground, blood leaking out of her wound. Tiaphus gasped, and shouted her name, kneeling next her. "Go Tiaphus." She said. "Go and be happy... For me...". Tiaphus wept over the body of his lover, but knew he couldn't let her death be in vain. He gently laid her body to rest, then left, with nary a backwards glance.

Today Tiaphus lives in a small cottage in the wilds much like the one he had in his childhood. He lives his life just as he did before, but without his love, only a picture of her on his wall to remember her by. He doesn't live in sadness, but in happiness that he still lives. He is 27 years of age now, and his hair is of a golden color, with his bangs covering his right eye. (From his view). His eyes are a dazzling blue, and he sports a shirt of rags, leather leggings and leather boots.

What are your Character's ambitions?: While he seems all happy and cheerful on the outside, deep down in him all he wants is to live at the top, with none to stand in his way.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): A simple hoe is all he really needs.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Mostly wheat farming.

Other Information about your Character:

Open-Response-Questions

Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Tiaphus looks on as the men harass the halfling, quickly trying to think of what he should do. After a few moments he approaches the warriors and asks in a confident tone, "And just what is going on here?" The warriors turn from the halfling to Tiaphus, and respond, "Well that's none of your business now is it?" And the warriors turn back to the halfling. As the warriors turn away, Tiaphus turns to the side and picks up a stick from the brush, and creeps up behind the warriors. He then slams the stick into the head of one of the warriors, confusing him for a few moments, giving the halfling just enough time to escape. Tiaphus then breaks out into a run as well, hoping to get far away from the fearsome warriors. He could rest well tonight knowing he helped someone.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Tiaphus looks through this mans wares, wondering if he should or can get anything. "Well, I don't think I could afford any of this..." He says, "I'm just a simple farmer." "Nonsense!" The man says.

"How about a bit of mushroom stew? I'm sure you must be hungry." "Oh...alright, a little couldn't hurt." "That's the spirit!" The man says, then goes to fetch a bowl of mushroom stew. He comes back to the counter and places the stew on the stall. Tiaphus pays the man and thanks him for the stew, then heads on his way.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Tiaphus looks into the contents of the chest, contemplating on whether or not he should take it. A little gold an iron could go a long way in his life, but then again, someone may own this, and he would be a thief for taking it. The last thing Tiaphus wants to be known as is a thief, preying on those in the wilds. He sighs and closes the chest, and continues on his way.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

He sighs in relief as he stumbles across the trading station. Finally, a place to get food! He had gotten lost on his way to town to sell his wheat, and since he very well can't make bread with it on his own, he was stuck wandering the woods, lost and hungry. "Hail!" He says in an exhausted voice. "Would any of you perchance be trading some food?" He asks the men. One of them shouts a yes, so Tiaphus walks to his stand and offers 5 bread worth of wheat in exchange for some melons and ale. He sits down to eat and drink for a few moments, and once he had his fill, he asked for the directions to the nearest human town, then headed on his way, making sure to thank the men at the trading station for their kindness.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Once word of this reaches Tiaphus, he contemplates going to help. He would't be much help, since he doesn't really wield a weapon that often, and when he does, it's usually in a...bad...situation. But still, minas were minas, and it wouldn't hurt to have some more. He heads off to sign himself up, and receives an iron sword to rent during the raid. When the time came, it was a hard battle, and Tiaphus was injured several times, but if not for a man in the guard named Pylliess, he wouldn't have made it out alive. When it was all over and Tiaphus gains his minas, he gave some of his reward to Pylliess as a little thank you, and headed back home.

Anything else you would like to say?: It was rather hard making this, so I hope you appreciate it. :I Also, this has been modified from it's original version to make sense, since originally he was supposed to have once lived in aegis, but that's not possible unless some form of time-travel happened, and it did not.

Your application has been...

Put on Pending.

I can only find one thing wrong with your application. You state the age of your character to be 27 and having lived in Aegis, but we have now been in Asulon for fifty years. If you either change the age of your character or make it so that he's always lived in Asulon you will be accepted.

If you can fix this within 12 hours your app will be accepted. If not it will be denied.

Accepted!

Welcome to Asulon! Please wait patiently for a GM to whitelist you.
