Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Aelgar was the only son of a modest blacksmith that lived in a town in the outskirts of what is now the Holy Oren Empire. His father lived alone, as Aelgar was adopted by his father when Aelgar's original parents could not afford to take care of him. As Aelgar's father would always treat his son well and with respect, Aelgar was always eager to show his worth; his father would teach him the art of crafting metal at a young age, along with his family's tradition of the use of the sword.

At the age of 15 Aelgar was sent out to complete another tradition of his father's family, procuring 500 minas in an honorable fashion and returning home. Aelgar set out to earn the money to please his father, but he was also excited to learn more about the world he lived in. His first attempt to make money was to serve as a blacksmith for the town's garrison, where he earned a moderate sum of minas, but upon learning that the garrison would mistreat the people of the town, he quit his job and donated the minas he earned to the church, showing his good nature and intentions.

Unsure of how to continue, he traveled to the capital of the Empire in order to find wealth. He began crafting tools for farmers and other craftsmen to earn money. After a few months he amassed the money needed and began to make his way back home. Along the way, however, he was assaulted by a group of highwaymen, who took his hard earned money. This infuriated Aelgar, he felt as if the world was set against him and would not allow him to please his father. With his skills with the sword he joined a mercenary brigade to earn a large amount of minas quickly.

While he earned the 500 minas within a few months, he enjoyed the company of the mercenaries he encountered and would stay with them for 2 years, learning more about Asulon and gathering many experiences. He returned home at the age of 17 to his father, who welcomed him back with his minas, he ritually gave his father 200 of the 500 minas he earned and he returned to the capital to begin his career in blacksmithing once again, as he no longer desired to risk his life as a mercenary.

Aelgar is 23 years old with black well-kept hair and a small beard, he has lightly tanned skin and wears a small iron breastplate of his own craft, along with a red sash that his father gave him when he turned 15.

Open-Response-Questions

Answer at least three out of five listed!

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?:

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?: Aelgar approaches the covered stall to get out of the heavy rain. He eyes the vendor with suspicion and hesitantly asks, "What are ye selling?". The man appears pleased and procures a bag, of which he spills the contents onto the table of the stall. Aelgar looks upon the items with curiosity, they are all brightly colored and appear to have an aura of sorts. He pick up what appears to be a fiery red orb giving off an aura of warmth and asks "What is this?". The man replies "That is the Ball of Karesk, it can 'eep your house warm and cozy for a month!" Aelgar was convinced that this was true, as the orb was becoming very hot in his hands, to the extent of which he had to cool his hands off in the rain. Aelgar seemed satisfied with the ball and wished to purchase it, he asked about the price. "Only 100 minas for you, sir." Believing it to be a fair deal he gave him the minas, the man had a large smile on his face as he handed him the ball. "Thank you." He said. Aelgar returned home with the orb and wanted to test its use, he placed in the center of the room in the inn he was staying in. The ball heated the room up to an acceptable degree and he fell asleep. Unfortunatley, in the middle of the night he was awoken by the smell of smoke, the orb heated up to a great degree over night and violently exploded, catching the floor of his room on fire. In a panicked state, Aelgar put out the fire with his blanket, and was forced to pay for repairs to the room.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Aelgar cautiously enters the hut, wary of any dangers, but can see none as he enters the center of the hut, where the items are located. He tries to see if this is the residence of someone, but there is is no bed, nor any other signs that anyone lives here, the hut seems to have been abandoned long ago, as the stone floor of the hut is rotted and insects cover the ground. Aelgar decides there is no harm in taking the supplies and picks up one of the iron bars and places it in his backpack, as he reaches for the sword he hears the sound of footsteps outside. "Who's there?!" He exclaims as he brandishes the sword. "Com ou wid monies!" said a figure outside of the hut. Aelgar readies himself, as he is ready to fight whatever enters the door. The figure enters the hut and he identifies it as a large orc, armed with only a club. Aelgar strikes the orc, but is confused when his sword breaks upon contact with the orc's hard skin. Aelgar realizes this was all a trap and the items are worthless. As he ponders this, the orc swing the orc towards Aelgar's rib. Aelgar is caught off guard and falls to his knees. The orc is prepared to swing the club down upon his head, when Aelgar rolls out of the way of the club. Knowing that he is outmatched, he pushes the orc out of the way and runs for the exit. The orc grabs his leg and Aelgar is forced to confront him, he pulls a small dagger out of his bag and swings wildly at the orc, dazed by the pain in his rib. The orc suffers a cut on the arm, which forces him to let go of Aelgar, allowing for his escape.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?:

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Aelgar is not one to shy away from a fight and acknowledges that should the bandits defeat the guard, then his trade will be hurt significantly; he grabs his meager sword and heads out to the town square, with the sun beating down on him. "The bandits are numerous, but disorganized." Announced the guard captain. "They've been terrorizing caravans and travelers along the Horst Way for many days now, it is time that we attack their encampment." Aelgar was organized into a group with a couple other swordsmen, Aelgar had no interest in getting to know them, and only wished to eliminate the bandits.

It was obvious that the other members of his group shared a similar interest and they traveled along with the rest of the hastily prepared militia down to the creek where the bandits made their encampment. The Guard Captain called for the leader of the bandits. The bandit's leader approached, scars covered his body and he wore only some leather leggings, the rest of his body was completely exposed to the elements. "Wut do ye want?" Inquired the intimidating bandit. The guard captain offered him the chance to surrender and face punishment for their crimes, but the bandit merely spit on the ground and withdrew into the bandit encampment. Aelgar braced for battle, as he knew this would not end without a conflict. The guard captain gave the signal for the missile auxiliaries to begin firing into the encampment. This barrage would continue until the bandits were forced to face the militia, should they all die by the arrows. The professional guard encountered the guards on the front as the militia flanked the bandits on the sides, including Aelgar's. Aelgar remained in formation and whenever an opening was present, he would stab his sword through. Both sides suffered losses but the bandits were clearly about to be defeated. Aelgar noted the location of the bandit's leader, should he be killed the bandits would certainly rout. Aelgar alerted the archer auxiliary and told them to fire upon him. They consented and began firing. He fell quickly to the arrows and the bandit's line was broken, the remaining bandits surrendered to the guard. Aelgar was paid for his service and he aided in killing bandit scum, he was satisfied with his work.
