XkynarethX 109 Share Posted August 21, 2012 *You visit the Grand Hall, and you notice yet another paper nailed to the walls with the Kirvel Crest on it. Knowing only Beladin does that, you approach it, and begin reading. "What is he up to, now?" You sigh, but seem a bit pleased with what you see.* Salutations men, and women of Varivik! I have held a speech earlier about a new currency- the Krune. During this speech, a man who I did not recognize suggested to me we build another mine, as the current one is poor, bare, and useless. And so, I have done what the citizens of Varivik have asked of me! I present to you, the drawings of the new mine. You can find this new mine on your way from the Hall to the market! *rough sketches made with some ink are placed one beneath the other, making it very clear where the new mine is.* *You rush outside, and notice the mine. With a smile on your face, you return to the paper, and read the remaining text.* Now, I couldn't finish it, for my tools became useless. I hope I can get myself another couple of pickaxes, so that the construction may continue. Signed, Guverdur Beladin Kirvel, Proud Blood of Uglijesha. *You seem delighted with the new change, and head over to the mine to check the progress. Little has been done, but many things are yet to come, so you head home, pleased with the new change around Varivik.*
ski_king3 0 Share Posted August 21, 2012 *Jess does not head home, but instead returns to Beladin after viewing the mine* Beladin, when I said make a new mine, I meant make one outside of tha town. I've mined from tha old mine to tha ruins and farther away than those, and tha caves and mineshafts are still bare. We need a mine in a new location that is close to Varivik, but not in Varivik. I appreciate your effort to make a new mine so quickly, but I did not expect an immediate response, I expected the town to go and look for a suitable place ta build a new mine and work together ta build it. ((Also, apparently having a mine within your city in Levanthus isn't allowed, so I think we should try to move away from that))
XkynarethX 109 Author Share Posted August 21, 2012 *Beladin arches an eyebrow as Jess says that. He thinks to himself, and sighs.* Yoo' dun do a good jawb d'en. Uh fawnd irun jawst buh diggin' sawch une small hole. Enawf f'er nine ingawts. So, thar mawst be mawr. Thar is hawpe. Uh nuide t'a give yoo' d'at irun, yoo' mawst muike muh sawm tools. ((Where did you get that information? I doubt that is true. I will be making a new mine, then))

XkynarethX 109 Author Share Posted August 21, 2012 ((Yes, it says mountains and hills must be used, however, the hill I used is in the town, and no where in the entire post does it say it cannot be in a town. Thank you.))
ski_king3 0 Share Posted August 21, 2012 (( There are ground rules to be had for each City-State, enforced primarily by the Subudain Horde. If a Kotansmani finds that Enismor for example holds a mine in the middle of their suburban districts, the Khagan will be alerted of this and will request such to be dissembled out of fear of magic being abused to force nature to accept what he logically cannot. Instead, land control measures are put in place to allow City-States to build for their certain trades and allow unique goods to flow from each City-State. With this in mind, lands that are not in proximity with any of the City-States may be gained through purchase and negotiation to be allowed to have improvements built upon it; depending on terrain.))
XkynarethX 109 Author Share Posted August 21, 2012 ((That is IC. Now, there is no Khagan, since the Khagan is dead. So, there is no reason not to make the mine right where it is. Plus, Enismor was a bustling town, we are a quiet village, and it would be just fine to make a mine there. Plus, we already have a mine within the city limits, so yeah.))
