In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is: The act of roleplaying is that of taking a character as your own, being something you cannot be and having fun acting as your rp counterpart in another world.

In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is: Meta-gaming is the act of using out of game info in game.

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: Power emoting is the act of forcing your own will upon something you can't or shouldn't be able to change- example- Steven swings sword and hits Joe, And Joe incorrectly replies- No he didn't, because Joe killed him first.

In-Character Details

Character Name: Malfod Nail-Beard

Character Race: Dwarf

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

Malfod is a Dwarf warrior who grew up in the mines. He has brownish-black hair, a long beard, and a small stature, even for a dwarf (3"8') and has a temper to match his height. He is 28 years old, and got his nickname on his 17th birthday, when he choked an Orc raider with the beard he ripped right off the Orc's face. The rest of his years weren't so eventful. Sure, he trained on the smallest of enemies, but none were his match.

Then came his break- a chance to leave the mines. There was a scouting party leaving to find better caves for emerald mining, and he joined up. It was there that he deserted, and departed for the Human kingdom. It is there that he is now, adventuring and fighting, just like he always dreamed. He is currently thinking of going to other kingdoms, such as the kingdom of the orcs (He dare not tread in that of the Elves, thieving witches).

What are your characters ambitions?: to find the perfect opponent to meet on the field of battle, and possibly return to the Dwarf kingdoms to join the army.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

Hello kinsman! What be your wares? Weapons? Armor? It would would be mine honor to help a fellow son of Urguan! I'll take 4! Here is some gold for you, my friend!

You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

They call me Nail-Beard for a reason! I killed one of your kind with his own whiskers! Now leave my kinsman be, or i'll do it again, you twisted, vile creature!

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:

I am a Dwarf of honor- I will help you old man! (As i help him up I slip a few Minas into mine own pouch) Now be on your way, old one!

Meta-Gaming l Power-Emoting l Role-Playing

No problems here. But, adding a Meta-Gaming example would be good.

Pros:

• Your biography includes information on your character's appearance and traits.
  

Cons:

• A bit more detail would be nice. Try making it a bit longer.
  
• The whole choking an orc thing is a bit un-realistic. It would be good to change that.
  
• Why did your character move to the Human Nation? The dwarves are currently at war with the humans. Please elaborate.
  
• Elves thieving witches? Elaborate, why do you think they are thieving witches.
  

Pros:

• You have the right idea. But your ORQs need some work.
  

Cons:

• They need to be a paragraph of length.
  
• They need to include information as to why your character chose to do what he did.
  
• They need to be made out in full RP. With dialogue, emotes, etc. Pretend you are RPing on LotC.
