In-Character Details

Character Name: Fairon Hammerstead

Character Race: Halfling

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

Age: 32

Personality: Easy-going and friendly.

History: Fairon was born in Arethor, son of a human, and a dwarf. He and his brother Mordred would always run around the town playing tag, until they started causing trouble and were sent back to their home. Fairon's father taught Fairon and Mordred how to fish, although Mordred never took a big interest in it, Fairon enjoyed it. After he was taught how to fish, Fairon spent most of his time at the docks, trying to get fish. When Fairon was about 17, he was still fishing at the docks, when he was approached by a sailor, and the sailor said. "I've been seein' ye fish here for years, and yer good at it, I'd like to invite ye to a trip 'cross the sea, what do ye say?" Fairon went to check with his parents, and they allowed him to. He put on his best clothes, and returned to the docks, where he saw the other members of the crew, there were many humans, a few elves, and an orc. When all the sleeping areas were sorted, the ship started sailing. Fairon was one of the fishermen, the others were elves. He and the elves exchanged stories about fishing, and became quite good friends.

Fairon looked through the telescope with his good eye, he had lost one of his eyes when he was attacked by a wolf when exploring an island. He scratched his beard, he had let it grow over the few months on the sea. He preferred to have the beard. Fairon continued to stare into the telescope, then he sees something slowly appearing. "Land!" He shouts, moving away from the telescope. The whole crew ran toward the telescope, wanting to see what awaits them. First the orc looks, then the humans, then the elves. The ship had finally returned to Arethor. When the ship docked, Fairon was the last off, he would miss the peaceful life on the sea. He went to one of his elf friends, and started talking to him. "I'm going to miss the peaceful life on the sea, what about you?" The elf replied, claiming that he preferred that he preferred the city. Fairon then returned to his home, and noticed that Mordred wasn't there. Confused, he asked his parents about him. They then told him that Mordred had moved out. On the topic of moving out, Fairon told his parents that he was moving to the Vale, a small town where halflings lived.

What are your characters ambitions?: To travel to the far corners of Asulon.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

I spot the shop-keeper, and with a quick look at his wares, I find nothing interesting. So I continue walking. Then, the dwarf yells "Hey, you!" By instinct, I look in his direction, assuming it's me. It wasn't me, but he noticed me looking in his direction, and called me to the shop. So now, it is me. I consider my two options, turn around and pretend nothing happened, or go and look at his wares. I sigh, it would be disrespectful to ignore him. I walk toward his shop, and take a look at his wares up-close. There are somethings that I didn't see, but they still don't interest me. But then, I spot something that catches my eye. An iron hook! Perfect for a fishing rod! "I'll take the iron hook!" I say. The dwarf looks at me, confused that anyone would by the iron hook. "That'll be twenty Minas!" I dig into my wallet and pull out some Minas. I count them, and place twenty on the counter infront of the dwarf. The dwarf smiles and hands me the hook.

You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

I watch in curiousity, wondering what might happen if they start fighting. The orc swings his fist at the dwarf's face, and the dwarf is lucky enough to dodge it. I start walking toward the two, but then I consider what might happen if I tell an orc what to do. So instead I run toward the sleeping monk and shake him awake. His eyes slowly open and he yawns. "There's a fight going on between an orc and a dwarf!" I say urgently. The monk then gets up, stretches, and stops the conflict. The two then exit the temple, the dwarf muttering something about orcs, and the orc staring at the dwarf in anger.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:

I stare at the poor old man, and help him up, balancing him on my shoulder. I turn to the fallen Minas, I gather them up, and place them in the bag, and hand the bag to the old man. With him leaning on me, I escort him to his home. When we reach his home, I sit him down on a chair, and tell him to wait there. I run towards a shop, and buy a walking stick. I run back to the old man's house, and hand him the new walking stick. The old man smiles and offers to pay me for my deeds. I decline his offer, for he most likely needs them more than I do.
