THE GLADIANTS

The Gladiants are the Protectors of Salvus, lead under the Royal Family; The Hightowers. The Gladiants defend those who can't defend themselves, and are a selfless organization. If necesary, they will utilize their soldiers to influence their enemies, either in combat or sheer intimidation. Their tale is a rocky one, and the road has been windy to get to this point, after still remaining post corruption and deciept, the Gladiants stand proud presently as the men of the Red Sash.

Gladiant Ranking

High Gladius- The High Gladius is the commander in chief so to speak, he/she handles funding, supplies, and major organization of the Military of Salvus in general. He has the power to overrule anything that goes on within the ranks, but tends to allow his Gladius, being his right hand man, to handle most troop work. The High Gladius will hold the verdict in trials or assign either his Gladius or another person of military authority to take his place if he is absent. The High Gladius closely communicates with his Gladius in order to keep a good perspective on the happenings of the Military and intervene when necesary.

Gladius- The right hand man of the High Gladius, the Gladius handles problems and organization within the troops themselves, though can be overruled at any time. They're rarely seen down at the low level, and only with good reason if they are. They actively speak to their Tawlts as to review leadership qualities and make recommendations when necesary. A Gladius will often go over stradegy with the High Gladius, and attends training activities and mock battles between companies. His figure is immediatedly responded with a sharp salute and rigid body, the gesture of one acknoleging the prescence of one higher than themself.

Tawlt- A company commander, the Tawlt deals with applications specifically given to his company, and depending on the applicants determination, virtue, and skill, he will decide whether to accept or deny the application. For those successful in joining the ranks as a Grenel, the Tawlt can choose whether to allow the applicant his desired platoon, though he can reposition them if he feels the need to. The Tawlt is in charge of making a Company Crest, and at full strength, there is 3 of these men. Tawlts should hold Company Trainings regularly, and will compete with other companies in mock battles to gain teamwork, glory, and experience. They lead by example, and should be ideal figures of leadership and experience. These men, while valuable, will always be at the head of the charge, just the way the like it.

Flantius- A platoon commander, the Flantius leads directly under the Tawlt, adhering to his advice and requests. The Tawlt directly relays orders to the Flantius, and the Flantius to his men. A Flantius should be at his peak physically, and an exceptional leader. He's in charge of ensuring growth of knowledge and skill in his men, leading platoon exercises to better his them physically and mentally. A Flantius can recommend able Ondivics for promotion to his Tawlt, though it is the Tawlt's descision whether to accept them into the ranks.

Ondivic- The average soldier, an Ondivic has proven his worth to his commander in his early years as a Grenel. He meets expectations physically and can weild a weapon with unrivaled skill. Ondivics are expected to follow orders from their superiors, without complaint or protest. While being physically adept, they have not yet been trusted with the ability to lead, and have no authority over others. Despite this, they make it their duty to "haze" their underlings; the Grenels, as their predescesors have done to improve mental hardness and weedle out the weak. An Ondivic will often be paired with a Grenel though, in order to teach him the basics, and tight bonds between the Teacher and the Student are frequently developed during this.

Grenel- A recruit recently accepted by a Tawlt, Grenels are yet to prove their valor and are yet to be fully accepted into the ranks of the Gladiants. They cling onto their "mentor" Ondivics as they are one of the few they can trust among the Gladiants. While many make it this far, most do not advance further.

Law of The Gladiants

- Complete dedication to Solace and The Gladiants. (Keeping from other guilds/groups.)

- No betrayal lain to a fellow member, think of it as a family.

- Do not ignore a higher's orders, listen to what they say, as they say it.

- The king comes first above all others, he is part of the family, perhaps even the father.

- The minimum training session per-week for each member is to be one, do not fall back.

- Respect the citizens as if they were your closest friend, we are not corrupted men and women.

- Do not kill unless attacked within the Hightowers, all will be sent to dungeons until the outcome of them is decided.

Rewards

For serving King and country, all with the rank of Ondivic will recieve the following payment;

-A free bunk in the barrack

-Full Access to the walls and keep

-Bread sufficient to keep a fully grown man sustained

-350 mina per elven week

After backup arrives I try to find time to stop and shout once more.

After the arrow hits it's target it is likely that the murderers will surrender to save their lives. At this point they will be taken into custody and held within the dungeon until further investigation can provide evidence of a murder.

- A man is walking down a street in fine silks and exotic velvet, running up to him you see two goblins and a orc about to corner him in a dark alley by the tavern. You hear a yelp and rush in to find him dead, the three running down the alley.

"Oi!" Thomas yells as he turns around to signal for some more men. "Three murderers ran that way!" He then takes off with some other men down the alleyway, stopping before they reach the end. "Be careful," warns a higher-ranked Gladiant as he takes the lead. Thomas grips the rusty dagger that he's had for years. As they step out onto the other side of the alley, the three figures are just creeping behind a house, hoping to not be seen. "There they be!" Thomas whispers loudly, pointing to the spot they disappeared at. The four men slowly pace towards the house, their weapons unsheathed and at the ready. As they round the corner, a goblin jumps out and throws a sharp knife, which only leaves a lasting scrape in one of the men's armor. The Gladiant standing in front throws a strong punch straight into the goblin's face, knocking it out and mostly likely breaking its nose. The four men stand in front of the orc and the goblin, trying to convince them to sheathe their weapons. Ignorantly denying the pleas of the Gladiants, it turns violent. Although outnumbered, the green figures put up a good fight. Thomas picked up the knife that was thrown and gave it a strong toss towards the large orc. The knife stuck into his rigid shoulder as he fell to his knees. Making a last stand, the other goblin jumped towards the Gladiant to Thomas's left. Swiftly and powerfully, Thomas threw a punch towards the goblin's back. With one last yelp, the goblin fell to the ground with a soft thud. The Gladiants, not including Thomas, then took the green villains to the dungeons to pay for their crimes. Thomas went back to get help with burying to murdered man. All in all, the situation was easily resolved.

The Gladiant standing in front throws a strong punch straight into the goblin's face, knocking it out and mostly likely breaking its nose. The four men stand in front of the orc and the goblin, trying to convince them to sheathe their weapons. Ignorantly denying the pleas of the Gladiants, it turns violent. Although outnumbered, the green figures put up a good fight. Thomas picked up the knife that was thrown and gave it a strong toss towards the large orc. The knife stuck into his rigid shoulder as he fell to his knees. Making a last stand, the other goblin jumped towards the Gladiant to Thomas's left. Swiftly and powerfully, Thomas threw a punch towards the goblin's back. With one last yelp, the goblin fell to the ground with a soft thud. The Gladiants, not including Thomas, then took the green villains to the dungeons to pay for their crimes. Thomas went back to get help with burying to murdered man. All in all, the situation was easily resolved.

*scowls, seeing the stamped application at his desk, he angrily looks it over for himself, resealing it with the seal of the Hightowers and writing a quick "ACCEPTED" with his signature nearby, there is also a small note at the bottom of the page. He pushes his seat back, the paper being viciously crumpled inside a clenched fist. He walks outside, taking a bird from the cage near the gate and attaching the application, then sending it off to the new Gladiant, the note reads;*

"ACCEPTED, please report to Tawlt Zayden Blain for further instructions, welcome aboard"

*after sending the bird, Zayden returns to the keep, knowing only one man would have the balls and ignorance to review an application without his approval*

- A man is walking down a street in fine silks and exotic velvet, running up to him you see two goblins and a orc about to corner him in a dark alley by the tavern. You hear a yelp and rush in to find him dead, the three running down the alley.

Adric sees the men running down the alley and quickly runs after them. The goblins run away but the orc blocks his way. Adric draws his sword and faces the orc. The orc smashes at adric with his war hammer. Adric rolls out of the way and the hammer lands with a smash beside him. The orc looks around, confused. Adric is behind the orc then stabs him. The orc falls and adric sets off to find the goblins .
