Have you posted this application on Minecraft Forum? If not, post it here:http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/832121-the-lord-of-the-craft-enter-the-world-of-asulon-o-f-f-i-c-i-a-l-l-y-t-h-e-n-o-1-r-p-s-e-r-v-e-r-100-unique-gameplay/!:Not yet.

Definitions

In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is:Playing the role of what you wish to be, or what you wish was real/possible and having fun doing it. On LOTC I believe it to be thriving in a world filled with endless possibilities alongside others.

In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is:Metagaming is using knowledge you have outside of the gaming world to help you in the gaming world (a big no-no on LOTC), especially if it would give you an unfair advantage.

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is:Forcing an action upon another instead of giving them a chance to react to something you are doing. (I.E. I killed player 2. Instead of: I try to kill player 2) It is unfair to do this and therefore frowned upon.

In-Character Details

Character Name:Brandon - Master of the Blade

Character Race:Elven - A Wood Elf

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

My character is Brandon. He was born by Lodrin, his father, and Mileata, his mother. The two of them are Masons for the Elvish nation. My Father learned the sword from his Father, who learned it from his Father, and so on and so on. I learned quickly and easily learned everything my Father taught me. I moved to The Elder Tree City of Normandor when I was sixteen and have studied the sword there now for four years with my cousin, Lombax. We learned from an old Outrider named Ya'man. I am now what you would call a master of the blade. I aspire to join the Malinor Vangaurd myself one day and bring peace to Malinor and protect it from Iblees, should he return.

I plan on making travels in the future to far off lands like Kal'Dwain to meet some Dwarfs. I would also like to visit the great human city of Arethor. I have always felt the need to explore ever since was a little boy. I tended to always find some way to get into trouble doing it though, whether it be for roaming around the Prison with Lombax or running into a group of bandits (unfortunate for them). I feel that I may need some companions for my journeys though (other than my cousin), but that's something to look into later.

For now I bid you goodbye, I must go practice the forms (for the sword). Good luck my friend, see you in Asulon!

What are your characters ambitions?:To join the Malinor Vangaurd and protect Malinor. I would also like to travel.

Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: My Skin (It's a link, click on it)

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character:No not really, I think my RP will say it all.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

I approach the Dwarf and ask him what he is selling.

"Well only the finest swords in all of Asulon son!"

"Really, well I happen to be something of a Master Swordsman. Do you mind if I take a look?" I ask.

"Of course not! And don't be afraid of breaking them. Smithing has been in my blood for over ten generations! If that sword shatters, I will give you a new one for free."

"Alright." I step away from the crowd and try a few of the forms. I flow from Water Lily kisses the water to Tears of Blood, the diamond sword balanced perfectly in my hand.

"This sword is amazing." I say as I stop and come back to him.

"That it is, and you can have it for the price of a thousand Minas." He replies. It seems a fair price so I pay the Dwarf. I give him and extra hundred Minas to help him along the way, thank him for the sword and rejoin the crowd as I make my way through the city.

You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

I cautiously approach the Orc.

"Excuse me sir, but is there a problem?" I ask him politely.

"This Dwarf stole my Wallet!" He bellows, saliva dripping from his mouth.

"I swear I didn't!" replies the Dwarf. He has true terror in his eyes and I can instantly tell that he isn't lying.

"I believe that he isn't lying Sir Orc. Perhaps you just forgot you wallet somewheres?" I ask.

"NO WAY! I AM CERTAIN OF IT! THIS DWARF IS A STEALER" He screams at the top of his lungs, enraged. I'm surprised the Monk hasn't woken up yet.

"Now now, we don't want an violence." I say as I place myself between the Orc and the Dwarf with my hand resting on my sword. "If you just go, then nobody has to get hurt. But trust me, stay and I will seriously injure you"

The Orc laughs. It's a deep throaty laugh that would scare most people. Not me.

"You think you can even blemish me?" He asks. "Why don't we see!" With that he launches towards me. My sword slides out of my sheath, the metal rasping. I do Pin Pricks the Butterfly and my sword slides through the Orcs stomach as I get out of the way. He crashes to the ground in agony. He would be in pain but it was a none lethal move. I encourage the Dwarf to leave, but he stays to thank me first. I kneel beside the Orc as he leaves.

"Don't you wish you had just walked away?" I ask, and with that I turn away and leave. And somehow the Monk is still asleep.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:

I quickly gather the old mans coins for him.

"Here you go." I say as I help the man to his feet and give him his coins.

"Why thank you Sonny." He says in a raspy voice as he takes the coins. "Oh darn. It seems my walking stick is broken. I'll have to get a new one."

"Don't worry. I say. "I'll run and get you a new one." I run to a shop nearby and purchase a sturdy staff for two hundred Minas. I return to the old man with it.

"Oh, you didn't have to do that Sonny." He says as I reach him.

"No, it's alright. Do you need any help to get where you are going?" I ask him.

"No no no, you've helped me enough already. Thank you." He says as he starts to walk away. "Until we meet again young one." and with that I turn to return to my travels. I'll never forget the old man.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, I hope you will accept it.
