It seems to be written more neatly than all the other notes, and you wonder who wrote it. As you wonder this, you shake your head, and begin to read the note.* Hail there, Guards and Legion of Kal’Karik! This is a notice from Grimloth Irongut, Grand Marshal of the Guard and the Legion. I have sent Valnor off to test a number of the Guards and Legion members, and have come to a single conclusion. You men will need to be trained in the way of combat, and in the trial of warriors. In the next moon, I wish for you to report to the Old Merchant District of Kal’Karik at first light, in which the new Legion Trainer Valnor shall simulate wars for you. For many years we have been poorly prepared for an attack, and we fell easily to the attacks of the Drakes. At first light in the next moon, you shall show yourselves, and you shall be trained in the ways of combat. Valnor is experienced enough to note who can do what, and he will make sure that you choose the correct area on the battlefield. He shall send you to attack each other with stone weapons and clubs, one army defending. The first battles shall be castle wars – Valnor is currently constructing a small fort in which a defending force shall occupy. Once this fort is occupied, he shall then send an equal force to attack. Valnor does not plan to have this fort destroyed, as he will re-use it many times for these training sessions. Hopefully Valnor shall be able to scan what you can effectively do on a battlefield, and make my life as Grand Marshal much easier. The second battle shall be a simple fight of flat land. Valnor shall pit two small armies together, in which they will simply fight on flat ground. Most likely in the arena, but Valnor shall be running these, not I. I will not be available at the training, but Valnor shall do well. Please report to Valnor Grandaxe, or Grimloth Irongut if you can come to this training. [ The time for the trainings will start at 6pm EST, and I am planning for it to end at around 7:30PM- 8:00PM. I know it is fairly short warning, but I was planning on making it later. Maellik looks at the note again and chuckles. "Dis should beh fun" Maellik begins to walk away, his hand resting comfortably on the handle of his axe.
