Out-Of-Character Details

Minecraft Account Name: Arzota

How old are you?: 16

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Eastern Standard Time, United States.

Do you have a good grip on English grammar and the English language?: Most deffinently.

Have you had any previous experience in roleplaying?: A few scant roll playing threads on planet minecraft, as well as a loosely controlled Rp server, hence why I'm here

Have you read and understood and agree to the rules?: Of course

How did you hear about the Lord of the Craft?: I actually was looking through skins on PMC and came across one of notXephos's (Swgrclan's) skins, I though they were excellent so I took a look at his profile to find this server listed, I figured that I may as well check it out since I have always sought a RP server, now a day later I am here.

Link any previous applications you have made to the Lord of the Craft: No other applications, just an inaccessible account under the name of Arzota.

Have you posted this application on Minecraft Forum? If not, post it here:http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/832121-the-lord-of-the-craft-enter-the-world-of-asulon-o-f-f-i-c-i-a-l-l-y-t-h-e-n-o-1-r-p-s-e-r-v-e-r-100-unique-gameplay/!:

Definitions

In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is: Roll playing is taking on another life in-game, it is the ability to forget who you are and live as another.

In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is: Meta-gaming is when a player(s) will take information form another source out of game and use that info in game, an example could be friend A asked Friend B to meet him at location X after school, the characters would not know that in game.

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: From the games I've played, Power-emoting is when you take action on another player without their consent in chat, something like "player A kills Player B and Steels X amount of gold" would be considered Power-emoting

In-Character Details

Character Name: Arzota

Character Race: Dark-elf

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

On the outskirts of Elandriel, late at night, a young elf lay under a towering spruce tree, the sound of footsteps and quiet sobs can be heard in the near distance along with reassuring whispering. "We have no other choice," a male voice says, "we can't allow for this to be known to anyone." He was walking with a young elf, most likely less than 100.

"But why, why must we leave him here just lying in the wilderness for the next passing creature to pick up, what if it is an orc!" She stated with great distress and a trained voice as to not alert any passing creatures.

"Quiet Remela, you know orcs rarely come this far, I have faith that he will be found by one of the wood elves, we can only hope now." said the male voice, reassuring her. On the inside he concealed the same feelings behind a shroud of stoic emotion.

"No..." Remela whispered under her breath, her only son, this was a miracle to any elf and she was to desert him? She was to leave him on an over turned tree just to conceal the true nature of their relationship? "No!" she shouted, living things could be heard scurrying under the brush as she lost the characteristic control that saturated her voice had left ages ago. The male tightened his grip on Remela's arm as he dragged her away into the night making little noise other than Remela's screaming, the characteristic stealth of the dark elf then kicked in as not a twig broke as Remela was dragged through the brush.

Years passed, the child dark elf was taken in by the neighboring wood elves and was raised as one of their own, and he learned the skills of the forest and the wood-elven ways and was given the name Arzota, this meant "born of the forest" in the old tongue known to only a select few. Arzota's foster parents had nurtured him for twenty short years, an insignificant amount of time considering the elven life-span. Being raised by wood elves Arzota inherited the traits of both races, the archery skills of the wood elves and the instinctual expressiveness of his birth race.

Although Arzota's foster parents planned to have him stay in Elandriel to live and prosper off their craft, Arzota had his own ideas. He wanted to visit the lands of his birth race, to travel the whole of Asulon and learn various crafts as he went. It was a sunny summer day when he left, Only 30 and with the characteristic light eyes of a young elf he left with little more than the characteristic wood elf clothes on his back, he set out to explore the lands. This is where we find him today.

What are your characters ambitions?: Arzota's ambitions are to explore, learn and make new allies.

Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here:

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Being raised by a different race left Arzota to social awkwardness, he hopes to sort this out by mingling with all races. Also the generosity of the wood elves has "rubbed off" on Arzota who now cares more for others than for himself.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

In the hope of making a new ally, I walk through the crowds to see what this trader has for sale. I find that he is selling pickaxes from his homeland but i have no use for one since I rarely mine, but I buy it anyway if for nothing more to help the trader, I may find a use for it yet. I then ask him if he is in need of any materials which I would offer to retrieve for him. Depending on his answer I would either walk off or start on a quest to find the materials.

You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

I approach the two parties and attempt to settle the dispute, whatever it may be. I learn that the two parties are arguing over what else but money, the orc claimed to have been robbed by the dwarf and demanded the money back. At this point I would signal another passerby to wake the sleeping monk on the off chance I wasn't able to solve this problem. To resolve this I would most likely take something from my own inventory and offer it as compensation for the money that was stolen provided the dwarf wasn’t the thief. If this didn’t work I would alert the monk to the threat and back off the issue then.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenseless man. What does your character do?:

The old man's money lay on the ground like sand upon a beach, and passerbys appear to be taking notice. I draw my hand crafted sword to ward the greedy ones off and proceed to pick up the money with my free hand, I then dump the money from my own and place it in that bag which I then give to the man after helping him up. I walk off with the money I can carry and distribute the amount remaining to the various merchants that line the street as I have little need of it.
