I have both a great grip on the english language possessing good grammar. I am a teacher by profession so being able to adequately use the English language is a necessity.

I am a teacher by profession living in WV. I enjoy being in the outdoors whether it be hiking and fishing in WV or enjoying the oceans of NC. I have also been an avid gamer who enjoys RP games in worlds with much depth and continuous playability.

-How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

I would be on the server approximately 10-15 hours per week.

I have played minecraft for about 1 year now.

-What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?:

Roleplaying is simply when you become the character you are portraying. You adopt their speech and their thoughts so that you become another being in this fantastical world. I have been roleplaying for close to 3 years now as before MC I actively played WoW on a RP server.

-What do you expect this server will be like?:

A good fun RP environment that adopts a world akin to the LOTR universe which I love and enjoy.

-What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have been on previous rp and free play servers and left because I thought that the worlds lacked depth.

I have both read and studied the rules and lore.

-What was your favourite Law?:

Buildings must adhere to the structural architecture of the area, if you are designing a new structure it must look functional and attractive. Buildings that block paths, destroy the atmosphere, serve no purpose or are an eyesore will be removed after a warning.

-What was your least favourite Law?:

I didn’t really have a least favorite law as all of the laws serve a clear and defined purpose.

-Biography:

My name is Duffin Kylin. I was raised in a system of underground caverns where my parents had spent many of their married days. As I grew older, I grew tired of only seeing stone and pick-axes. For my first many years, rarely did I see the light of day. It was almost like a treat of good behavior when I was able to sneak a peek at the beautiful sunlight and the grass that surrounded the cave and draped over and around the only southern-facing opening of my home...old home, that is. I finally had enough of the cold stone beneath my boots. I packed my necessities, promised my folks I would return from time to time to visit, and bid them a fond farewell. 

     I had heard great stories of the land of the Elves and how beautiful it was. I am so very fond of nature. On my travels, I would simply stop, have a seat among the flowers of the meadows, fill my long-stemmed pipe with some more than wonderful pipe weed I bought off some lone travelling merchant, and take in all the splendors that Mother Nature had to offer.

     During my long journey to the Elvish city of Laurelin, I stopped at many a tavern and made many a friend. Not usually the kind of friend with whom you can trust with every ounce of your being, but much rather friendly acquaintances, if you will. I usually stayed at Inn's close to the road at night, but sometimes, when feeling feisty, I would sleep out under the stars in a forested area with a good book and just enough light to read from my campfire. Dwarves, as one should know, normally do not like to read, but same as I fell in love with the flowers, the soft grass, and the tall trees, I fell in love with a good story and the wonderful smell of aged parchment smashed between two hard leather book covers. I also have a four-leaf clover that I use as my book marker.

     Upon arrival to Laurelin, I took heed of the people of the area and very friendly folk they were. Sometimes, I would take weird looks since it was not often a Dwarven fellow like myself strolled through these neck of the bush. I made several great friends in a fairly short amount of time and eventually settled on a small forested island just to the south of Laurelin. Here, I spend my days in a laid back fashion. I love to farm, wood carve, and eat and drink, of course.

My character's age, like myself, is 24

-Character Appearance:

Short and stocky with a red beard.

-Character Personality:

A dwarf who enjoys simple pleasures like reading, eating, drinking, and good smoke. Duffin is not like most dwarves in that he feels a nostalgia for the underground and can hold his own in a mine like any dwarf. Duffin however has an affinity for nature and the sunlight. Duffin is well educated and well read and enjoys being so.

-Your ambitions:

To carve out a comfortable existence in the world and answer the call to arms whenever necessary for his people.

-Can your character read or write?:

Yes, very well educated alongside the dwarves and men.

-Can your character mine?:

Yes, he is a dwarf so mining is part of who he is.

Most definitely.

-Can you wield a sword?:

Yes, but Duffin prefers the axe being he is a dwarf.

-Enjoy Farming?:

Duffin loves to eat and drink and farming is a natural extension of this. Though Duffkin is no farmer he does enjoy raising a personal garden for his own consumption.

-Does your character have any special skills?:

Duffin possesses a sharp axe that he wields with great might but an even sharper mind he wields with great cunning.
