Dreadful Death

Like I described in this topic, dying can be very frustrating if it happens in a non-RP way. Therefore, I suggest that we get an additional command, one that will teleport us back to the place where we've last died. But since this would be overly abused, I thought of some more mechanics to it.

-When you cast (use) it, you get down to 1 hp.

-You have the right to use it again in 30 second window to teleport you to The Temple Of Aegis. This may be another command if 2 functions are too difficult to implement for one command.

-the command would have at least 1hr cooldown, up to 6hr, so it forces you to use it just in extreme cases I've described in the topic previously mentioned.

-the command is usable for couple of minutes (how much your inventory lasts in the open) after dying but not if you're in the "hospital" with monks.

This requires a bit of coding, but it shouldn't be more than half a page of it. I think adding this would help relieve players of some stress and it would encourage exploration more. Please comment :D

Death is tough.

Full stop.

We're not going to change how it works at the moment. It's great as it is.

This is why you should be more careful...

I second both what Availer and Aceeri said. The death system is effective as it is in my opinion. Though some elevator music in the respawning crypt would be cool.

Elevator music?... That... Makes it even more tedious...

Exactly. That was exactly my thought xD We're all on edge waiting to get out of it. It'd truly be purgatory, which it is in a way, with elevator music.

Found out how to get "unstuck" from falling deep down somewhere and I thought I'd share it here:

1) have at least 2-3 placable blocks of the same type in your inventory

2) equip them and target ground

3) jump while holding l-click

4) this places another block on top of the previous one before it disappears.

5) 1x1 pillar in protected area that disappears immediately and requires no cleanup!

Tips:

-don't miss the previous block or you die falling (can't place blocks mid-air)

-use wool if you're a "wandering soul"

P.S.: if this is considered "flight", delete this post and I won't mention this ever again nor write it on the forum.
