My 2nd attempt know that I have been playing for a little over a week now. Sorry for the misunderstanding the first time around.

MC Username:

Re_addled

Rp Username (be sure to include the correct prefix, look up on info thread): Si’Lorei

Character Skillset:

She is quick on her feet and though she lacks the strength that other Kharajyrs have, she has enough wit to try and avoid situations that take advantage of that flaw.

Appearance (age, SUBRACE, gender):

She is sixteen, just old enough to remember the excitement she felt when she completed her adulthood trial. As a young Kha’ Cheetrah she has light brown fur and small spots that cover her entire body. Her fur is a lighter shade on her torso and the inside of her legs and arms than they are on other parts of her body.

Personality:

She is curious, alert but a bit oblivious when it comes to cultural taboos that go outside her own. She usually says what is on her mind without filtering anything that might be offensive for the receiver. This is, more often than not, done out of ignorance rather than spite. She is known to ask questions until she understands completely. She is rather friendly but has a personal wariness towards other races. She doesn’t understand them therefore she is hesitant to make mistakes or speak as she usually would in front of them because it would shame her fellow Kharajyrs.

Royalty, be it Kharajyr or otherwise, are always to be treated with respect and, to Lorei, respect comes in many forms. It may be presenting a gift of some kind to the noble. It may also be avoiding contact with the person in any way possible, she hates being in situations where she doesn’t know whether she has offended someone or not, especially if it is someone of importance.

Her thirst for knowledge and understanding is great but what motivates her to continue learning is the fact that she hates being ignorant of what is happening around her. She wants to know what is going on, why it is going on and what everyone thinks about the problem. She understands that thoughts and feelings are personal and others may not be as willing to share their thoughts as she would but to hide ones feelings is very suspicious. If all who are speaking are friendly, what is there to hide?

Please include a short bio of your character's life:

Lorei was an active and adventurous kitten, alert and eager to roam the world around her. She had a wild imagination and wasn’t afraid to show it, creating tales of romance, sorrow and success whenever she wished. She constantly pestered her parents with these stories, trying to make each story different and interesting so that they would never get bored with her.

When she wasn’t telling tales or day dreaming about impossible adventures, she was exploring, more often than not, without her parents. She was interested in knowing the place she lived in, understanding the patterns that nature cycled every day and to do this, she would wander away from her home grounds and explore the forested areas around them. She would always return to her parents, endure their scolds and punishments before curling up for a nap and dreaming of the route she would take the next day. She loved her parents but didn’t believe they understood her intellectual yearn and ignored most of their advice and warnings.

On one of her adventures, she realized too late that she wandered into an area she had never seen before. She didn’t know where she was. After failing to find her way back several times, she eventually collapsed in the hollow of a tree to hide. She was alone in that tree for four days before her father found her in the middle of the night, snatching her into a hug and scaring the once-sleeping kitten into clawing his sides.

This event mellowed her and now she wishes to pursue her imagination rather than go on adventures. As she aged, she read and taught herself how to write. Her dream is to become a known writer of fiction while dabbling in other genres as well. She also wishes to travel, that kitten-age urge to trek never truly leaving her.

Character's ambitions:

She wishes to become a known writer, entertaining her fellow Kha and other races with her stories. She loves writing in all forms and would love to professionally write down facts and observations of the world as she sees them. She hopes that others would appreciate her blunt perspective.

All in all, she holds a seemingly impossible and possibly dangerous dream of becoming a traveling writer. She knows her pay would be low and unstable if she ever got anything at all but is willing to do odd jobs in order to accomplish her dream. Degrading? A little, but a necessary sacrifice to accomplish what she wants.

_---Situational Rp Questions---_

1.

As you travel through the Karakatuan jungle, you spot a human trespassing on your nation's lands. He approaches you, obviously distressed, and asks for any food, water, or shelter that you can provide, then tells you that he has been lost in the area for days without any proper supplies. How do you react?:

I blinks rapidly as I stare at the broken sunlight slipping through the leaves of the branches above her. I sigh, slowly closing my eyes and reveling in the rhythmic motions of the jungle. Everything coexisted with each other. I could hear the fluttering of wings and birds chirping, along with hum of a slight breeze and the hush of branches moving with it. Ears flicking in content, I felt relaxed. The jungle was always a beautiful place.

Crunch!

My eyes snapped open, ears darting forward as she tried to assess what I had just heard. Above me, the birds’ wings fluttered in panic as they lifted off of the branches and fled one by one. The branches knocked together from their weight, making an unhappy clashing sound as the birds flew into the distance.

I felt sad for a moment, before my eyes caught movement and then the shape and color of something that was most definitely not supposed to be here. A human.

I could feel her fur raising in apprehension and anger at this trespasser who had just ruined my moment—my peace—and for what? What was a human doing here? This land was theirs, not for the Apes, only for the Kha! Only—

I shook my head, trying to sort my distressed thoughts and make a logical move. Exhaling shortly, I quickly approached the a—human. I would try to be civil. I knew I was not as strong as my Kha cousins and didn’t want to risk upsetting the intruder and losing a fight. It would be best to convince the human to not continue and then warn the others later.

[The double r’s indicate a roll. A Spanish/Italian r. Dialogue spelling is intentional]

“You. State whata perrpose you havea herre” My eyes narrowed as the ape turned its head toward her in fear. His face was scared but then it all gave way and shown his hopeful elation that he had finally found help. My ears flicked in the oddity of this reaction but had no time to dwell on it as the ape was now touching my shoulders, smiling in weak happiness.

“I’ve been here for so long,” The ape admitted. “I’ve run out of supplies…I…I thought I was going to die here…” The ape then trailed to laugh softly, it sounded like a wheeze. I grimanced.

“Wella, I…I do nota know ifa it would be wisea to continue thisa way. We do not welcome yehrr kinda so easily.”

The human seemed distressed. “But…I need supplies! I’ll die if I continue like this!”

I paused at this, tailing twitching at her indecisiveness. The human was getting upset. Letting a feline growl rumble in my throat, I pulled out a pouch and went through my things. I threw at the ape a single piece of bread and a few pieces of raw meat, reluctantly (I had planned to eat those later!), a holder of water and turned the protesting human away.

“If I can serrvive on thata food, you canna too. I cannotta help you anymorre, ap—human—so please, trry not to meeta any otherr Kha, they may nota be too happy to see you.”

With that advice, the human nods and begins walking the way he came. I feel slightly empathetic about the human’s situation but he must have known he was trespassing. His misfortune was not my fault.

As you romp through the lands of the "apes", you come across a tavern. Inside this tavern, a Dwarf notices you and starts gawking at you, then begins to speak.

"Oi! I gots a bowl of cream for you, Kitty! Ha! I'd bet you would make a nice throw rug, wouldn't ya, ya mangy furball?!"

He continues act generally as racist as possible. What do you do?:

I feel my fur rise at the taunts of the dwarven man. My irritation and need to protect my people’s honor urge me to throw my own insults his way because with dwarves there are so many. They are short, usually portly people. Short, less useful versions of the other apes. However, I throw all this away, shoving all the insults in the back of my mind.

I smile but there’s anger in my eyes as I approach the dwarf who has begun to howl with laughter at his own jokes. I tilt my head to the side, warring with myself again at how easy it would be to defeat this ignorant stump with words before I lift my foot and kick the dwarf off of his stool.

The dwarf grunts angrily and is about to stand when I slam my foot down on his chest. I lean down slowly, smiling only to show my teeth as a reach and run my claws gently along his neck. The dwarf stills, finally seeing the danger in the situation.

“Aw, dida the “kitty” scarre the Dwarrf mawn?” I put more strength into squashing the man beneath my foot. He wheezes pathetically, looking to others to help.

They don’t.

“You arre alucky thisa “cat” does nota want to herr paws derty. Next time, holda yehrr tongue.”

With this I stand and sit at the seat that had previously been the dwarf’s. As I hear him stand, I glare at him, daring him to make a move before watching, with satisfaction, as the dwarf moves to the other side of the tavern to drown his embarrassment in ale.

As soon as I was sure the dwarf would not attempt anything further, I turn away and look ahead of me. In hindsight, it probably wasn’t very smart to pick a fight with a dwarf but he had insulted all Kha. He’d deserved whatever punishment I had come up with. Hey, he is lucky I didn’t decide to do something more severe.

Content, I begin to look at the small menu posted. She needed a drink.

3.

One of your fellow Kharajyr and a close friend of yours comes to your dwelling in the middle of the night and begins to pound on your door. After you let him in, he confesses to killing another Kharajyr over a slice of cake. What do you do in response?

This act.

This act so dreadful done to one of our own. At first I refused to believe it myself but his hands were covered in blood, his eyes still held the crazed gleam that came from taking the life from something once living. This man was no longer my friend because I knew he wouldn’t do something so wrong in the eyes of our people. Not over something so meaningless.

I stare him in the eyes, feigning understanding before striking him with a heavy paperweight that was beside me. He falls; still conscious but then I hit him again with the object, and once more until he doesn’t move. I pause, wondering if I had hurt him too much but as I check his pulse and breathing I know he is alive.

Alive and a criminal.

He wouldn’t have come quietly. I didn’t have the strength to restrain him myself. I had to do this while I still had surprise on my side. Swallowing and hoping others would understand. I leave the house and lock it from the outside.

I would bring the authorities here to arrest this murderer. Hopefully, he wouldn’t wake until then.

Do you swear to follow the Tlatlanni and uphold his law, and do you swear to hold Metztli and all of her actions as sacred?

“Lorei swerrs toa follow the Tlatlanni and upahold his law. Lorei also swerrs toa holda Metzli anda all ofa herr actions asa sacrred.” I incline my head and close my eyes, stilling my tail to show my submission, respect and honesty.
