I have been out of town quite a bit lately, and with 1.4.2 out, I will be playing that for a while. I am still active on the forums. Probably in a day or two, I will reverse my minecraft.

When you leak that a new map is going to be sent out and we are all moving away, we are all going to lose are valuables and restart, people start to think, well, why even bother playing until the new map? It's just a waste of time. Therefore no one logs on due to lack of interest in investing more time into LOTC until the new map hits. Also the prolonged DDoS attacks that shut us down don't help.

That is the main reason. How can a group even create or play when they know everything now is going to be null. You'd be better off having your group start up threads about what they want to see in the third map and how they can prepare for it. As of right now the entire base is in this mood of "reset soon".

I couldn't have said it better, myself. My new character, Bifor, found his way to Karik. Upon getting there, he saw three dwarfs, none of whom could help him find any housing. I thought this to only be a fluke, as it was on a Weekday. But, as the weekend came, I could find no one in Karik, and everyone on teamspeak said that they were busy on building 3.0.

I'm at my wits end. If I don't find any decent Role play in Karik, today, at all, I'm leaving and seeking residence, elsewhere. Just because a new map is coming, doesn't mean we should all stop Role Playing. We need to build memories, make friends, form alliances, and fight wars.

3.0 changes nothing. We, as a community, owe it to LotC to stay vigilant and act as if nothing is happening. I, for one, am going to keep coming onto the server whenever I can.

True that most things will be proven not worth building because of the map reset, but there is still good RP to be had. I will start frequenting Karik more often in hopes that I can start up the RP that was once here. So if you are interested in some RP come to the tavern in Karik tomorrow, any time of day, and we can setup some things to do. Zez I hope your reading this cause that means some GM event time. :P

Though I've been on the server since the first day, I recently created a new Dwarven character that was to live and reside in Karik, talking to the many dwarves of the city. It was my horribly disappointment when I saw, on average, 0-2 people in the city on average. The Dwarves truly are turning new players away.

I want to make a giant golem! And the other nations will hear about it and come to Destroy it in fear of it and we have to protect it! We lose and it gets destroyed. Almost... Someone is able to save the core as the giant body crumbles and it becomes a myth of whoever stole the core.

Due to the TS problem I have stopped logging into TS. Due to your inactivity I got myself caught up in a human rebellion. Personally wars made us the biggest race for a while, people want those.

Bare in mind the active time for the dwarves is around 10PM - 5AM GMT and a large number of us are currently on the build server. :P Things will pick up in the earlier times when 3.0 is released, the main problem is the lack of European players that we once had in Aegis. We've been involving ourselves with the human rebellion quite heavily, we'll see where that goes.

We need to get dedicated councilmen who are willing to create events regarding Dwarf behaviour, such as Maellik who should begin writting hymns and Phrases of the Dwarf gots so that may have sermons every week much like how the Humans had one in the city of Arethor when the praised their god--frey.

Also Jake needs to get off his arse and begin recruiting Dwarves and setting up training events rather than having his finger up his nose! We are bloody disorganized during war which looks disgraceful since we are Dwarves and we like orginization.

Omithiel's needs to bloody motivate Dwarves to work and RP mining with the help of the King even though he is working on construction of 3.0, maybe build some statues of the gods in Karik?
