In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is: Roleplaying is when a player or actor partakes in a role. They must not break from the role they are given. One can easily “pretend” to entirely exist as their role to better react the way their role should.

In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is: Meta-gaming is when one exploits bugs and glitches of a game to better their productivity. In a roleplaying environment, meta-gaming can be defined as using information the player has but not the character said player takes role of.

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: Power emoting is when a player uses descriptive emotes to describe what they “do” to another player when the other player would have no control over what is said that they’ve done.

In-Character Details

Character Name: Boraglin Pendragon

Character Race: Human

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Boraglin yields from the far northern lands of Aegis where he and his family holds a castle. Boraglin practiced magic and swordplay since a child and would someday become a warrior of his Clan. He fell in love with a girl named Murron and proposed to marry her. But on the night of their wedding, as Boraglin was hunting for a wedding feast, the castle was attacked by a dragon while he was out hunting. He returned hoping to find the castle prepared for a wedding but was gravely disappointed when he found piles of rock and ash, smoking with golden flame. The dragon destroyed the castle and his family forcing him to leave to find his own fortune with a vengeance for dragons.

Boraglin sailed to Asulon to make a name for himself as a monster hunter. He one day hopes to have a castle of warriors to protect the land from dragons and any monstrous threat! But no matter how many monsters he kills, nothing can fill the dragon shaped hole in his heart where Murron once was.

What are your characters ambitions?: To rid the world of terrorous beasts and establish a castle to stand for such a cause.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I browse the dwarves wears hoping to find something worth my while. Dwarves are surprising creatures and should not be underestimated! Dwarves having a weakness for wealth, I bribe him a handsome price to show me the good stuff! Disappointed that he is no more than a lowly dwarven trader with nothing to sell but what is displayed, I let him keep half the gold for his troubles and be on my way.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I would stand back and watch. The land of Asulon is dangerous and one must watch for themselves. It’s non of my business anyway! If the fight escalates to far, I might intervene to help the dwarf. Maybe I’d get a little reward!

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: I help the man up and return him his money. I offer to escort him to his destination. I wouldn’t ask where he came about so much coin as I’m sure some of it will be mine if I escort him successfully.
