Ideals

Respect plays a key role in the culture of the people in Auvergne. The cycle goes as it should, the people respect the high rankings as the high rankings will act to nobility. All should treat each other with kindness along with respect. This ensures that all gain respect as earned and acquire through their time.

During the lives of the Auvergnians, there is a larger ideal that drives them. Such as would be to live long and prosper. It is believed through out Auvergne that you should enjoy what you can in life and celebrate its joyous bounties. Often festivities will be provided by nobility and is smiled upon highly. Though all Auvergnians are encouraged to enjoy life to its fullest.

Those who help Auvergne and work to support their people are highly respected in the Auvergnian society. Often nobility in Auvergne enjoy to see hard working peoples as well as people able to provide for themselves as well as others.

Festivities

Feasting - A festivity that can be provided by anyone who is willing and able. This festivity usually includes large amounts of people eating and mingling together. After eating, the people usually partake in dancing with a loved one whether it be married or family members.

Giving Thanks - Usually this is when someone invites nobility or nobility invites the people to a party in which the host gives gifts to the people invited as if giving back or thanking them for something. This usually includes a small group of people compared to a larger group such as a feast may include.

Delighted Colors - A Delighted Colors celebration is when nearly the whole town or all of the town is invited to a large flatland where it is decorated with lines of rope colored with different colors. towards the middle of the celebration there is a flurry of fireworks sent into the air to blast into different lights and colors. Often, people from all over Asulon are invited if the provider is able to provide as much. Food and drink is provided and usually people will dance under the lights of the fireworks while a bard plays.

Carnival - During a Carnival nobility sets up tents and invites anyone in Asulon who wishes to come. People will be able to sleep outside on the ground, or inside large tents where they can mingle together. Usually many activities will be provided such as games and contests where people can test their worth and enjoy themselves. Music will often be heard where all people can enjoy it.

Wine Tasting - The smallest of all the festivities is this. Usually people are asked to make their own wine to bring to the festivity. Peoples will take turns tasting the different wines as well as mingle with each other. Towards the end of the tasting, the best will be chosen and the winner will be given a prize of sorts which will stay a surprise until the end.

Food and Drink

Peoples in Auvergne usually prefer wine over any other type of beverage provided from Asulon. Sometimes they enjoy wine testing over other types of activities through out society as well as refining competitions.

Auvergn sees talented chefs as highly prized and believe food to be a large part of life. Presentation and quality are things that Auvergn nobility highly prize among themselves as well as scattered across their lands.

Meals are an important time of the day through out Auvergne. Often there are two times a day they have a organized meal. That being the time of morning then the time of night according to Elven Time. In the morning it is prefered fruit and wheat products while night is meats/poultry/fish and a wheat product. Stews are usually kept to be something to enjoy in a crowd at parties, or inside of a tavern where people may mingle.

Nobility

Often you will see nobility of Auvergne to wear clothing colored with red, white or black. They enjoy the colors and find them to show off their regalty. The colors also adorn the guards, royal or not.

Most nobles in Auvergne are kinder and less judgemental compared to what other nobles may act upon. They tend to react more with the people and throw festivities for them within reasonable boundaries. Very interesting so far. I think you should add more. Other than your love of the word "mingle", I really like it.

What about a "Captain of the Guard" rank? Hehe.
