Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

19 years and 10 months ago Orodreth was birthed to the King and Queen of a small Elven village, He was the prince and was fed from a silver spoon, never having to lift a finger for anything he wanted. Although he was pampered and never called upon for help, he would've rather been self sufficient. As a young Elf Orodreth wasn't allowed to do many things, those including; leaving the village, playing with the other small children and what urked his the most was his father refused to let him read. Orodreth was sheltered from all things that would make him think about unrealistic things, like traveling into the world or meeting other races. Not being able you leave the village didn't bother him yet he begged and pleaded with his father to allow him to read stories. Orodreth began sneaking into the library and stealing books of fighting dragons and war, knights in shining armor and mages with spells and staffs.

None of the listed things interested him, when he was fifteen, hundreds of smuggled books later, he read about things called runes. He read about them daily and began obsessing over them and there magical properties. He spent days locked in his room trying to make his own and trying to make other, already existent ones, work for him with no luck. After his mind fighting back and forth with him about what to do, he decided his plan. If he wanted to learn anything, if dwarfs even existed or if there was knights in clinking mail, he would have to leave the village. He was promised he could see the outside lands on the day he was crowned as the real prince, his nineteenth birth-day. The minute they took him to the walls, he would run and not look back. The years past as he studied more about runes and magic, beginning to understand them, all leading up to his great escape.

Orodeth is now 18 years and 364 days old, he sits at his desk in his room and fears his crowning the next day. He packs an easily concealable bag of loaves of bread, many rolls of parchment, an inkwell, his quill, and his favorite book. The pack sits by his door as he waits for the sun to rise.

Still sitting by his window, he hears his parents begin to stir across the corridor. He leaps into his bed, pulling his covers over his face pretending he's sleeping. His father wakes his up as usual but only has a smile across his face, not a word escapes his lips and he retreats back of of Orodreth's room. The crowning is upon Orodreth now, He sits in an uncomfortable throne awaiting to be crowned. A bow sits in his lap, a present from his mother, an enchantment makes the bow look as though the wood is still very green and alive. He stares through his father only seeing the dark forrest where he will be in minutes, his heart beating rapidly. A crown of gold with white stones embedded into it was placed on his head. He holds tight to the bow, as he stands and begins sprinting through the crowd, His leather shoes on the cobblestone streets make no noise. He hears none of the crowd's shocked shrieks and jeering from the younger ones, only his heartbeat in his ears.

After a months worth of wandering the woods, on little food and not an arrow for his bow, he comes across the Could Temple. The monks tend to his scrapes and scratches and he's soon on his way. His crown buried in the soil of the woods and his bow tossed to a lake. He feels he is a new person as he walks with a skip in his step, a wide smile upon his face toward the docks.

What are your characters ambitions?: Orodreth wants to become a rune-keeper and use his skills for the healing of others and help of his friends.

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Orodreth, As you will see in the ORQs, is very awkward when around others and is terrible under stress.

Open-Response-Questions

Anwser at least two of the below questions with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? Orodreth gazez at the dwarf, not knowing what he is, he doesn't look like an Elf or Human and doesn't know what to say. The dwarf Yells " What ar ye lookin' at?!" Orodreth goes to the dwarf and asks him what he is. The dwarf looks extremely angry in regards to his racism, even though Orodreth doesn't understand. The dwarf hits Orodreth with a small, sturdy, nearby stick until he is forced to run away.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? Orodreth laughs under his breath, remembering his last encounter with a dwarf. "Serves him right" he mumbles to himself. As he turns to walk away he feels a huge sense of guilt and doesn't know what the feeling is. He turns back around, he felt it was the right thing to do, and walks into the situation. He looks at the orc and says asks what the problem is, shaking in his shoes. The orc throws a punch the Elf easily dodges and punches the orc in the eye, "Run!" He yells to the dwarf as they scatter different directions and never meet again.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: Orodreth is speechless, "Oh, Eh, Sir, Uh, Uhm, Sir, Are, Are you, are you okay?!" Orodreth begins pacing in circles mumbling to himself in fright. Orodreth speaks quietly to himself as he fetches a nearby sturdy stick off of a nearby tree branch and hands it to man "Here and uhh, Here, and, uhmm. Oh gosh." He picks up the man putting him on his feet, only adrenaline making it possible for his to lift such a weight. He steadies the man making sure he is stable with the new cane. He cleans up all the mina and hands them to the man, still not directly spoken to him yet. Orodreth mutters "And eh.*Orodreth pulls a not from his own mina pouch and hands it to the man* He finally speaks to the man "Uh, Sorry..." Orodreth scuttles away.

  • The OOC section is incomplete, definitions are missing.
  • Malinor is a Princedom, as you would know if you read the lore, not to mention small villages would not have kings and queens.
  • Your character cannot know magic. This requires a magic application after being accepted to the server.
  • LOTR and LoTC are two different things. There are no 'rune-keepers'.
  • Stealing is not allowed without a villain application, which is technically what your character did by taking books.
  • You powergamed in the second and third ORQ, dodging and punching the orc in the eye as well as lifting the man. You wouldn't have an adrenaline rush from seeing someone trip.

Please wait twenty-four hours before reapplying.
