pilchar 0 Share Posted August 8, 2011 what about some sort of grand exchange(like from runescape) you get 2 slots to buy and sell stuff for free and then for every 1000 minas you pay you get another box. you can put up orders for stuff you wan't to buy and it will search the excange for an item and same with selling but visa versa. post if you have questuions

pilchar 0 Author Share Posted August 8, 2011 This seems like a fairly good idea! But it would be interesting to see how they construct this idea! (Is there a mod for something like this) i don't know but it wouldn't be hard since it is kinda like a slightly modified store mod
Availer 681 Share Posted August 8, 2011 I think that would kill the Roleplay having a world wide auction house. It would also ruin other player run stores.
raptorknight 3 Share Posted August 8, 2011 Availer is right it would kill RP. Runescape was much more fun before the grand exchange because you were more unique when you had like full Rune. I think that the grand exchange ruined Runescape so I don't want it to ruin this server.

Respiren 524 Share Posted August 8, 2011 Perhaps an alternative; Several players have shown interest in a mail system, though they lack business since we all effectively have mobile phones ^^. The way the postal service survives nowadays is by the delivery of packages. With this in mind I suggest you set up a goods exchange, so that one may send/ have goods delivered to another in far flung cities. This will be of particular use/feasible when objects can be made unique through enchantment (naming), and for exchanging tomes. A well stocked exchange with many offices would dispense with delivery of common goods via arduous journeys. Drawing orders from amongst it's own inventory when items are brought to or paid for at another exchange. Packages may be delivered to the door of recipients, or their hands by knowledgable locals, or alternatively left to be picked up. This would also allow me to send everyone cookies and flowers ^.^ You might even consider having an underground rail built to convey large freight. Rusty 0 Share Posted August 8, 2011 No. Removing free trade is what ultimately KILLED Runescape. That and removing the 'wild' aspect of pvp. Grand Exchange is exactly the way Availer put it, ruins the roleplaying aspect of the server. Grand Exchange is like buying things online. You sit at your little computer (bank), you go through and find the best deal halfway across the world, you purchase the item and it's shipped to you. You don't have to do anything. The year on this server is 1304. It would completely ruin the roleplayin aspect if we let this form of 'technology' be incorporated. Good idea, just bad for this server. Robin Drake 731 Share Posted August 8, 2011 Im with the other guys saying that this may not be fore the good of Aegis. However the mail system point that Respiren made interests me. Would this be like a courier service with depots in all major towns? Also i know we can already write on books but if you could write on paper like a letter it could be used to send messages to players with proper rp instead of /msg. Solan (Elite117) 82 Share Posted August 8, 2011 I think there is actuality a post office in Leaurlin already...... right next to another post office. But I think both are abandoned (I know for a fact that one of them are).

No your totally wrong, they recently brought back the wild and free trade and its still boring. You actually had to work to get something in RS. You can just walk to grand exchange and get all items for a quest. that totally ruins the quest. Or you can just walk to grand exchange and get food. before you had to find a specific seller or get it yourself. So in short, Grand exchange ruined the medieval feel of runescape. not the wilds or free trade. The G.e made r.s boring.
