Trouble is afoot

Under the cover of night, a hooded figure roams the streets of Haelun'or, darting from building to building. Allowed entrance by a friend, Layla's mission is clear and failure is not an option. She heads straight to the Sullas tower, keeping to the shadows as moves. She finds the gate to the tower left open, much to her delight.

A wicked smile crosses her face as she sneaks inside; heading straight upstairs to what she assumes is Lucion's bedroom. Finding the bed vacant, she quickly gets to work carrying out her plan. Lucion's pillows are quickly removed, before Layla reveals her true purpose there. A sack of rotten fish, carried in on Layla's back is poured over the bed, instantaneously releasing a horrid stench.

Layla drops a small note onto the bed, before absconding with Lucion’s pillows. She makes a quick detour on the way out, passing by the book shop to stomp on Lucion’s beloved grass.

For any that might happen across it, the note on Lucion’s bed reads as follows:

"Dearest Lulu.

I found myself in possession of these fish and figured you might like them.

I also happened to notice that the grass across from the bookshop was getting a bit long, so I stomped on it for you.

You’re welcome.

Lots of love, Layla."

She quickly makes her way out of the city once finished, disappearing into the distance only a short time after arriving.

A small girl skips past the bookshop, she cannot be older than six. The youngling stops in her tracks in front of the destroyed grass and her eyes widen, it seems as if her eyes might pop out of her sockets. She turns to take a closer look at the stomped grass and frowns. She glances at the sign put there by Lucion, known by her as 'Lulu'. Her poppa told her what the sign said:

'Lulu doesn't want people to mess up his grass.'.

She asked him: 'Why would they want to?'

He didn't give her an answer.

The only thought going through her small and growing mind is: 'Why?'

She walks away, her brows furrowed and lips pouted.

Lucion slowly rubbed his hands together, and gazed over the fresh damage to the city's greenery. It had taken weeks for the blades to grow back to the full thickness and splendour he had cultivated previously, due to the wounds the pranksters had made. He let out a beleaguered sigh, and continued on his walk, slowly. His heachaches had been getting worse, and this latest horror left a dull pounding deep within his skull. He had considered at one point to manually drill a hole in his own head to alleviate the pain, but after reviewing his notes, he came to the conclusion that 3/5 test subjects died from such procedures.

He considered it too unsound for personal use.

Making his way up one of a myriad of stairways, he placed both hands on his temples, and began to rub them carefully. The action did little, and he let out a small grunt as he passed by the Lazul household; easing himself towards his own home. Stepping through the doorway, he sniffed the air, noting an unfamiliar scent within the dwelling. He presumed Ionia's cooking was the cause, and tapped the releasing button on his door-gate, allowing the mechanism to trundle down, and close the house away from the inside.

All was silent around the tower. A blue-jay flittered past carrying a piece of parchment, and sang a melodic tune as it sailed through the air gracefully. The leaves of the climbing vines that wrapped around the Sullas tower drifted side to side, being barely affected by the cool breeze. Tanquility; it's name was Haelun'or.

The peaceful afternoon was then suddenly interrupted by a loud shattering of glass, as Lucion's bed was flung rather unceremoniously from his bedroom window. It landed badly, spreading the putrefied fish on the ground and squashing them all together into what appeared to be a semi-liquified slush. A slight whimper was heard from the window, but nothing more.

The tranquility returned.

Thilln'iyat walks by Sullas Oem when a bed covered in rotten fish plummets towards him. He screams and jumps out of the way as the bed plummets to the ground, crashing and destroying it. "Lucion! What are you doing?! Are you trying to kill people!" He shouts angrily.
