*Within the gates of Normandor stand two tall trees. Upon these trees are ladders. They rise high into the sky until they reach a small loft where an observer may sit and watch the passers by and goings on within the curious city of Normandor. Some elves busily scurry about, others stroll about leisurely. Nothing seems particularly out of the ordinary.

Curiously, on this day a figure in white appears to be within the left loft. Barely distinguishable behind the leaves of the tree, the figure's white robes blow in the wind. Perhaps if one were to stand next to the figure the faint rustling of fabric might be heard.

It seems this figure is far from the normal visitor who may climb to such a perch and the events transpiring from with inthe tree seem far from the mundane events of regular life. Strangely, every few moments a small pebble drops and shoots through the air before quietly plopping into the calm waters below. Now and again one stone seems to miss its intended target and falls towards another location. One particular observed occasion the pebble clatters to the wooden bridge below, on another it lodges itself in the tree.

The figure however seems oblivious to where the pebbles fall or any harm which may be done because of them. The figure indeed seems quite nonchalant about such events and seems to simply pause momentarily when such things occur. Moments later he continues about his task dropping the pebbles methodically.

Every few minutes he turns to a small notebook and writes something within it before returning to his task.*

Elphaba walks along the streets only to be hit with a rock, she looks up "who threw that!? gha! ata'chikir!" she yells

Raeyn walks along the path, her violin case in hand, she feels rocks fall on her and she quickly tries to use the case to sheild herself "please stop throwing rocks!" she yelps as whoever is throwing them

*The figure leans precariously over the edge and looks down. Seeing Elphaba and not Raeyn below he simply shrugs, and retreats back into the tree.*

"You had best get out of the way quickly then talururk, or better yet... Remain where you are in hopes you will be hit...". He mutters quietly to himself from up high and within the tree.

*Subsequently to this he shrugs and rather nonchalantly begins dropping the pebbles once more.

Curiously, upon further examination some stones drop in a rather peculiar fashion. Precisely what is occurring up high in the tree is unknown, all sounds masked by the wind and distance alone. However, it can be seen that every second or third rock drops more slowly than the others at first. These special pebbles seemingly floating down for a short period of its fall. That being said, they soon accelerate to the speed of the others and fall either into the water or clatter upon the bridge.*

*One such pebble falls upon the leather helmet of Skyhmane as he guards the gate. He looks up to find the source of the disturbance, unable to distinguish any perpetrator his gaze returns downward.*

Dalia strolls leisurely over the wooden bridge and into Normandor. She looks over to the worker's houses. "Well, it is a nice day to-" She is cut off, as a pebble lands lightly on her head. Dalia starts running her fingers through her hair, before finally finding the pebble. Dalia stares at it, wondering how it got into her hair. She finally shrugs, and starts walking again towards the houses. "I do hope A-" Dalia is stopped again, when another pebble falls from the sky, landing very hardly on Dalia's foot. Dalia sits down, and examines her foot, now swollen from the pebble's impact. Dalia looks around, before finally looking to the tree perches. Dalia looks up, seeing the color of white clothing faintly through the leaves. Dalia stands up, and calls over to the figure. "Could you please stop throwing stones?"

*The figure chortles from within the tree. He stands for a moment, looking to those below with a look of utter glee. He remains seemingly totally unaware of their objection to his stones dropping. The robed elf jubilantly exclaims in a maniacal fashion:*

"They fall longer!"

*He begins to repeat this to himself, almost madly, as if the realization of this 'Longer fall' ws something of great importance to him."

"They fall longer! They... Fall for longer!"

*The figure turns to his notebook and begins scribbling intently within it. Laughter echoes across the city once more."

*High up in the tree, the figure continues to scribble intently in the note book. A few minutes later he looks up, a sly grin crossing his face. Kalenz watches Skymane intently as he begins to walk past, he procures a single pebble and places it into the palm of his hand.*

"One ought to amuse themselves every once in a while..." He mutters to himself.

*The figure seems to glare at the pebble intently before it suddenly and rather inexplicably seems to lift into the air. The robed elf twitches once and mutters to himself. For a moment it sits there before rapidly descending and making its way towards Skymane. The pebble shoots through the air, however it flys off course. The small rock having been intended to land right before the elf's feet whizzes away into a nearby tree. The figure in white frowns before shrugging and returning to his work. This time taking what appears to be a pebble with a hole through the middle connected to a string.*

*The figure drops the small string apparatus down the tree, it extends quite a few meters down. In one sudden movement he begins to swing the pebble on the string as if it is a pendulum. It swings back and forth a few times. He pauses every few moments to once again record a few things in his notebook.*

*If one were to observe from afar they might notice that the pendulum seems to pause at it's left and right apex every once in a while. It seemingly hangs there for a few seconds before continuing on its way. Of course, many would just blow this off as a trick of the light caused by their distance. However, some may be lead to the curious question of "Why?".*

*As the day wears on, so it seems that the figure in the tree continues to change activity. Indeed, it was only about twenty minutes after beginning to swing the pebble that he retracted it and began on a far more hazardous series of tests. The figure clad in white takes the same sac he had procured all subsequent pebbles from and selects a handful of small pebbles.*

*In one sudden and swift motion the figure throws the stones out at once, each shoots through the air and down into the water below. Multiple small splashes break the silence around the bridge. Like all previous actions the white figure appears to repeat this same action. That being said, his clearly inferior coordination leads to some throws to send the stones far wide of his intended target and a few scatter upon the path below once more.*

*After each throw the figure seems to pause and frown slightly, as if something was not being achieved that was desired.*

*After reporting the evil flying stones to his commander, Skyhmane leaves the great tree and walks back towards the gate; glancing around, wary of curious projectiles.*

Elorna emerges from the Great Tree and descends the stairs at a brisk pace, heading toward the gatehouse. As she nears the tree by the base of the bridge a shower of pebbles clatter and bounce on the wooden walkway in front of her and she stops, tilting her head curiously.

"Hmm..." Elorna rotates slowly, glancing about her surroundings when another handful of small rocks rain from above, one landing on the top of her head.

"Ow!" she cries, rubbing at her head and looking straight upward to the platform in the tree. She takes several steps backward to see onto the platform and be out of range of any more pebbles. She spots the man in the tree and frowns.

"Excuse me, sir! Why are you throwing rocks at people?" she calls out, crossing her arms and waiting for a response.

*High up in the tree Kalenz looks down and frowns.*

"Throwing rocks at people llir? I don't believe any have hit others..."

*Kalenz pauses for a moment in thought.*

"Indeed! This is no mere rock throwing... This is Kinesisology!"

"Hasn't hit anyone, hmm?" Elorna mutters to herself as she hops onto the low wall bordering the path. After a moment spent contemplating the high elf in the tree, she sighs.

"And what is kines... ology?"
