Character Name:duril

Character Race:dwarf ( cave dwarf)

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:duril has dark skin, black hair, a long braided beard and golden brownish eyes. He is quite resilient and enjoyes a good drink of ale. duril was born and raised near the city of karik in a small town. Growing up was tough for duril because his father was away in the mines a lot and his mother was almost always smelting and smithing the ores that his father had brought home. He always knew that he wanted to be just like his father, mining, earning enough to provide for his family. He learned to smith and smelt from watching his mother and he always thought of mining as a wonderful thing because of the look in his fathers eye when ever his father left the house to mine. As duril got older he started helping his mother smith weapons and armour, he occasionally went to mine with his father and leaned a lot, he found out much of great miner his father was. As Duril became a young man he left home to start his own life, he lived on the street for around three years mining and trying to earn enough to buy a home in a small mining village, he spent months on end in the mines, duril was overjoyed when he had earned the money that he needed to buy a home. He spent half a year living in his home before a dreaded Orc raid passed though his town killing many but he was in the mines when this happened so they hadn't found him, they were only there for a day so later on he climbed out of the shaft only to find the town up in flames.

After losing everything he went to the city of karik to beg for money and food, he had left his pick axe in the mine and was too afraid to go back and he didn't know any other way of earning money. He had sold everything he had left to pay for food, he became thin and pale (for a cave dwarf). As he became more sick and frail he had less and less hope, in a last try for a better life he hitched a ride on the back of a delivery cart to the Oren empire where he met a woman who helped him and nurtured him back to health, she was the love of his life. She was also a cave dwarf, but she had traveled to the Oren Empire to smith weapons and armour for the Oren empire army. His new found love for this other dwarf Thia made him do things blindly, he started to mine and smith with Thia for the Oren empire (he wouldn't usually work for the empire, duril would usually only look out for himself). There were a few years falling deeper and deeper into love with Thia. Once he was late to get to the mine, but he got there only to realise that it had collapsed with Thia inside it and that she had died. Duril continued his job for the Oren empire mining and smithing for a few months before he realised that it wasn't the same without Thia so he quit his job and started working for himself again. He knew from then on that he would never find a love like Thia. These days duril hopes to move back to the great land of Kal'karik and live out his days mining. He is now balding and seventy five years old.

What are your characters ambitions?:duril hopes to one day become a rich miner, buy a nice home and grow old there.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?duril knows what it is like to be in that position so he would give him some coins and buy him a drink.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?hide somewhere until the fight is over and if the dwarf is hurt he would help him up and bring him to the nearest town

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:helps the man up and helps pick up his coins (he might also secretly steal some of the coins as well).
