In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is: Meta-gaming is when someone who should be using IC knowledge uses OOC knowledge wrongly to make them have an advantage when role-playing

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: Power-emoting is when one player does something that another player cannot counter. Power-emoting does not give the other player a chance to do anything e.g. *Mark kills Peter and steals his gold*

Character Race: Dwarf

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: HISTORY: When I was first born in Kal'Karik, my father, Kalin III,was away on a lengthy journey that took him far out of Asulon. I was raised until about the age of 13 by my Mother. I remember her very fondly; brown hair,(like myself) bright blue eyes, a warming smile that is always there to embrace you. When my father finally returned home, he wastedc no time and began training me in how to fight with an axe (instead of just using them for chopping wood) more or less every hour in the day 5 days a week. Though it was tough for someone of my age, it most definitely paid off as now I am an experienced and very skillul fighter using melee weapons (you do NOT want to see me with a bow). When I was about 23 I was set to work in the mines, digging away. However, I was, and still am today, keen on leaiving the mines and going on adventures accross Asulon. My wish, though, did finally come true when I joined my Father's travelling party and to this day I still travel this world with them.

APPEARANCE: Brown bots, maroon tunic, a steel helmet, a long brown beard, a golden belt buckle, black eyes.

PERSONALITY: I am now 32 years old and I would say that I am a valliant and courageous fighter and am willing to fight with my kin. As a person, I would hope that I am kind, helpful and bold but other people have the last say on what sort of a person I am like.

What are your characters ambitions?: To become a High Dwarf Lord or to live a happy and enjoyable life.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I, seeing that he is of my kind, would walk to his stall and ask: "Good friend, how much are your wares?"

No matter what the price, I would buy one or two items just to help the dwarf feed himself and (if he has one) his family. To help him even more (if I have the money with me, that is) I would give him an extra two or three coins.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I see the scene and immediately leap behind a tree, scared of the orc's power. I see that the argument suddenly becomes a violent battle. The dwarf scrabbles for his axe as the orc smashes his hand around the small creatures body, very nearly hitting the target. I suddenly feel the urge to do something; coming out from behind the tree, I shout: "Leave him alone you big brute!"

Full of rage, the orc comes racing at me. I lead him, foolishly, into a nearby town. Luuckily, it was after dark and the orc didn't seem to want to make much noise. Using all my possible strength, I get five or six meters between us. I skid around the corner, heading straight to the hero's office. I ran faster than I think any dwarf has ever ran (probably not but it felt like it). I launched myself into the office door, later realising that it was open. Picking myself up from the floor, I screamed at the man sitting at the desk: "ORC!"

He races to the scene and begins battling with the large thing. I jog swiftly back to the dwarf. I found him still lying there, moaning. I ripped three strips from my tunic and tied them over his wounds to stop the bleeding (I'm not much of a medic though so I'm not sure it worked). Finally, I led the poor dwarf into the town square and sat him down. I walked away, relieved that the dwarf was okay-that I was okay!

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: In this situation, I would first aid the old man onto his feet and then prop him up against a nearby tree. Then, I would rip a part of my tunic off and make it into a bag. Oce I have done this, I would collect his Minas and put them in the make-do bag. After tieing the top into a knot, I would give the bag to the man. Finally, I would rip a long enough and sturdy branch from the tree and give it to the old man. I would help him on his way and then carry on my jourey to Malinor.
