Out-Of-Character Details

Minecraft Account Name: Tha4thReich

How old are you?: 20

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Usa PST

Do you have a good grip on English grammar and the English language?: Indeed.

Have you had any previous experience in roleplaying?: Yes I do, I've been rping on an Rp server in World of Warcraft for a few years now.

Have you read and understood and agree to the rules?: Yes.

How did you hear about the Lord of the Craft?: I was searching for Minecraft rp servers, and this one seems to be the place to be.

Link any previous applications you have made to the Lord of the Craft: None.

Have you posted this application on Minecraft Forum? If not, post it here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/832121-the-lord-of-the-craft-enter-the-world-of-asulon-o-f-f-i-c-i-a-l-l-y-t-h-e-n-o-1-r-p-s-e-r-v-e-r-100-unique-gameplay/! : Nope, I will.

Definitions

In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is: The act of placing yourself into, or creating a story for a fictional character and bringing them to life through storytelling and action.

In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is: Meta-gaming is breaking the laws of "Rp physics", by creating your own rules and guidelines for your own benefit. For example, "I spawn a 300 foot tall mechanical T-rex, which both eats you and destroys your entire town with an onslaught of heat-seeking missiles."

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: Power emoting (in my experience) was when a character would spam emotes or actions before the other person could respond, thus burying any responses under a pile of type.

In-Character Details

Character Name: Nazwrath Sunsorrow

Character Race: Elven

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Nazwrath is a simplistic woodland hunter, doing his best to keep from the troubles of war. Son of a high elf father, and mother from Malinor, his skin is cast a light bronze, though his ears still hold the elongated trait of the high elves. Quiet and conscious, he would do just about anything to keep from conflict, unless he finds a suitable reason to interact. Due to his past interactions with Humans and Orcs, he tends to keep any race aside from the elven at a large distance.

Spending the majority of his childhood growing up in the woods, Naz has acquired a knowledge of archery and wood craftsmanship that his father claimed, "Would've astounded Malin himself." As he advanced into early adulthood, his eyes were opened to the larger world around him after his family traveled to the Human city of Arethor, renowned for it's trade and prosperity. Along their journey, a group of Bandits, made up of Orcs slew his parents before the young man, leaving him for dead in the wilderness. After the outlaws had left, Nazwrath was streaked with crimson and left with the blood-stained clothing on his back. In memory of that day, he keeps from the traditional emerald streaks in his mane, instead accenting his attire with red, including the warpaint he applies before each hunt. After the catastrophe, he retreated to the solidarity of nature where he spends his time constructing his home and would eventually meet his life-long companion Hooligan. Together, they watch out for each other above all else, and plan on keeping things that way.

What are your characters ambitions?: To keep out of war and pain with as little sacrifice as possible.

Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: (See attached file. Has been changed to loreful skin.)

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: He can shoot fireballs from his eyes. (Kidding.)

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I would pause a moment to observe the quality of the wares with a judging eye. Eager to critique the Dwarven craftsmanship, I look over each detail and flaw in each piece of equipment. Not before long, however, I start to realize the excellent skill the man possessed, quickly picking up a wood-axe the man had created. Wide-eyed, I looked to the Dwarf, asking "How much for such a fine instrument?" To which he responded, "Two hundred minas for that beauty." Scoffing as I quickly placed the axe back on the table, I shook my head, grumbling to myself, "Greedy dwarves.. Might well just bury it, at that price."

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I peer over the situation with interest, quickly slipping out of sight. As the situation escalated, I realized the same Dwarf that had over-charged me for that axe was now being robbed! Quickly drawing my bow, I approached the scene just as the Orc raised his blade. "Hey! Leave the cave-dweller alone, Orc!" I exclaimed, pulling an arrow back against the draw-string. Concluding the dwarven wares were not worth his life, the Orc quickly vanished into the night. Realizing who had just saved his life, the Dwarf quickly offered me the prized axe as thanks for my efforts. We shared few words before parting, but I'm sure we'll meet again. Perhaps next time I venture into a bar.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: Hesitantly I approach the man, looking around for any sign of trickery. As the man began hastily sweeping up his coins, his peered up at me, frozen in fear. Holding my bow in the air before setting it to the ground, I asked if the man needed help, and where he was headed. As he explained, he winced in pain, clutching his knee. Quickly harvesting nearby herbs, I made a hasty remedy to the pain and offered wound dressings. Greatly appreciating my concern, the man offered a small token of his appreciation. His beautiful daughter's hand in marriage, with whom I wed and had many exploits and children with.

Other Comments:

Excellent! Simply excellent, I must give you that much.

But, there were a few problems that prevented you from having your application from being accepted.

Firstly, there is the matter of the loreful-ness of your character's skin. At the Lord of the Craft, we don't encourage taking upon skins that resemble characters from media (television, books, etc.). This gives people the wrong impression about your character; giving us the misconception that your character embodies all the traits of where the character comes from. Also, the glowing of your eyes are kind of...unsettling to the normal peoples of the Lord of the Craft.

TL;DR- Please change your skin to fit your character better. Searching up "elven" or "elf" can give you a good array of skins on popular Skin-Indexes.

Secondly, I would suggest adding some lore into your biography. Add some city names, large events, etc. We want you to be familiar with the environment in where you will be roleplaying in.

Here are some useful links:

And lastly, try changing your first ORQ to say "minas" instead of "gold pieces".

That's all I need to see changed! Contact me when you are finished! Remember to use the yoar32.jpg button to add in your changes. If you wish, try making the added text red using the 6xtzau.jpg tool in the editing prompt.

PM me when you have finished! Good luck!

Noteworthy Hints and Resources:

You come to Asulon to Develop a Character, not have one Developed already

Just because you play RPG's, doesn't mean you have RPed before.

Don't post another application in a period of one (1) day. It clogs up the applications section, and doesn't prove to us that you have improved upon your application.
