interaction with another player that do not give the other player a chance to respond; eg. "Jim quickly draws his sword 

 

and kills bob." an example of a way this scene could go WITHOUT power-emoting would be "Jim quickly draws his sword 

 

and slashes at bob's chest." this would give the other player a chance to say something like "bob barely dodges the swipe 

 

and runs away as fast as he can.".

 

In-Character Details

Character Name: Thurgis

Character Race: Southerner, but his great-grandmother was a halfling.

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s 

 

history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Thurgis Shader was born in 

 

Arethor, to Harold and Kefilwe Shader where he was taught to fight, farm, read and write.

His parents wished him to follow his own dreams, and gave him much freedom. However, it was not always fun. Once, 

 

when he was just 5, he decided to explore a ravine without his parents, but it proved too dangerous. He fell from a ledge 

 

and bit the tip of his tounge off. Other than that he was only bruised. Fortunatley his parents were looking for him and 

 

were near the ravine. He survived, but because of this he had a lisp for the rest of his life. When he was 6 years old he started to find a 

 

great intrest in redstone. At first it was just simple things, like opening doors; but it quickly evolved into more complex 

 

mechanics.

When he was 30 he left Arethor to find great masters and learn about redstone. He is 32 and is very good at redstone, is 

 

5'2, has black skin, brown hair, and blue eyes. He is a competent fighter when angered but preferres to settle conflicts 

 

peacefully, even with bribery when nessecary.

 

What are your characters ambitions?: To study with the great masters of redstone.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell 

 

his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is 

 

your response? I walk into the pawn shop. "Hello? Would you like to buy or sell?" the dwarf asks. "I wish to 

 

examine your wears. May I ask your name?" says Thurgis "I'm Ravs of the Grandaxe clan. And you?" he asks. "Thurgis 

 

Shader. Pleased to meet you." he replies. "How much for that sword?" Thurgis asks "Wot that? 500 minas. I polish and 

 

sharpen it every day y'know!"The old dwarf is looking hopeful. "I'll take it!" Thurgis leaves with the new sword and his 

 

pocket suitably lighter.

 

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. 

 

There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

 

The Orc grabs and starts shaking the dwarf. "STOP!!! please stop!!" Thurgis yells. "THIS DWARF MAKE FUN 

 

OF ME!!!" It quickly becomes apparant that the Orc is drunk. Thurgis quickly drops some coins on the ground, grabs the 

 

dwarf, and runs while the Orc is distractedI apologise to the dwarf and ask him if he knows a place I could stay for the 

 

night.

 

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks 

 

weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls 

 

down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the 

 

defenceless man. What does your character do?: He helps pick up the coins, if only a bit sullenly and finds the 

 

man a new walking stick. If he cannot find one he brings the man to the nearest inn or place where someone may be able 

 

to help him.
