Mini Story about achery and her father.

That day, I remembered, was my birthday.

One that I awaited.

I was 18.

Finally, considered as an adult.

I was full of joy.

I could taste the freedom.

Yet now, thinking back, I was too gullible.

Too gullible I still am.

What freedom is that?

I now only wish, to be back in my parent's arms...

On that day,

I woke up refreshed.

As I picked up my quill,

To write a poem.

A new day

The warmth is returning,

As the sky blushed and flushed.

The evil are smoldering,

Receiving the justice of good.

The flowers are swaying,

As the branches wave at me.

Pearls of moisture stuck to petals,

As they bloom of renewal.

The wind crisp and clean,

With an air of importance.

I swept the scene with a single gaze,

It was a new day.

I inhaled, the fresh air, the air of freedom, or so I thought.
As dressed myself, I went down to the dining room.
My parents were already there.
Whispering.
As I approached them,
They smiled at me.
Warmly as ever.
"Karin'ayla, our beautiful daughter." They said.
I smiled back at them.
"Karin'ayla."
I kissed them both on the cheeks.
As I did so, my maln laid a loving hand on my arm.
My haelun even embraced me.
Oh the joy, the heat of love from my parents.
My eyes brimmed with tears.

"Now, now, don't cry, its your birthday, don't be sad."
My maln gently wiped my eyes,
As my haelun walked upstairs.
I hugged my maln tightly.
Suddenly behind me, someone whispered behind my ears.
My haelun smiled with glee as she surprised me with gifts.

As I whipped around as my haelun unraveled a dress.

Made by her own hands.

My hands reached out, and met with the soft fabric.

"For you." My haelun said.

She pushed the dress shoulders.

"It fits perfectly." She says with pride.

"Oh haelun." I embraced her once again.

My maln stood behind me.

Even though he did not join our embraced,

He stood with pride and joy.

Hands clasped behind, relaxed, yet slightly tense.

I tilted my head as I realized he was hiding something.

My haelun placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Your father wanted you to learn self defense, as we both won't be beside you forever, though I disliked violence. But he convinced me that he will teach you well so that you won't get hurt. We hope you like your maln's gift, he especially traveled far to find a good carpenter to craft a bow for you."

My eyes twinkled with delight as she looked at my maln.

From behind his back, my maln produced a bow.

Finely crafted with birch wood.

He placed it in my hands.

It fitted perfectly, my hands, my height.

I rushed to my maln and hugged him.

He hugged me back.

But as expected, I was too excited to even eat breakfast.

Soon, I was out, in the plains of Haelun'or.

Eagerly strumming the string of my bow.

And such days continued.

Day and day without relent, I practiced.

At first some of my arrows fell short,

Some fell wide.

Yet after each passing failure, my skills improved.

Not only as my hands very deft with skill,

My eyes improved and sharpened.

Perhaps I was to encased with the joy of my success.

It was during then when I realized,

By each passing day,

My maln grew weaker and weaker.

To a state that he could only strain to stand straight,

To smile and watch me as I practiced....

Mini Story About Seth and her Father

I sat under the shade of the tree, staring at my diary, yet nothing to write about.

I gaze out at the field of roses and dandelions, suddenly remember my childhood.

My father was out the meadows with me. The wind blowing fiercely at us.

I was grinning madly, one of my fondest childhood memories I think.

Mother was sitting on the soft grass. Smiling softly, and however gently.

I sigh. How I loved her smile. I still do, yet... Tears start to fall down my cheeks.

I murmur the words. Mother. My parents have stayed, stayed at old Haelun'or, the Silver City of the High Elves.

Yet, I leaved, to the new one. I looked around, it was a good decision.

Yet why had my parents insisted to stay?

I composed myself, wiped my cheeks with the napkin I produces from my dress.

As I rise from my spot, I notices a Mali on the roof of the gate.

Very soon I knew his name and who he was like pretty well.

However what strikes me most was his resemblance of my father.

As I talked to him, I looked deep into his eyes.

He had the same eyes as my father.

Deep blue.

Serious.

Yet sometimes curious.

His hair.. My hand itched to touch it. Soft, golden hair. Shining under the bright sun.

The relaxed yet composed form, so so similar to my father.

I stared deep into this Mali's eyes when I talked to him.

How could be bear resemblance so much?

So much?
As our conversation ended, a word ended on my tongue.

Maln.

I wanted to cry, I wanted to ask, I wanted to touch.

I wanted to see my father again.

Yet as I meet this Mali called Seth, I saw my father's shadow.

As I looked back, my soul felt like springing out, in an embrace.

I swallowed the lump on my throat.

No...

I cannot...

I walked away.

Maln.

History

Last studying days at Haelun'or College

I gazed at the blue sky and took a deep breath. The air of the school, the air of studies, the air of books and education. Holding my books tightly against my chest, I slowly stepped into the library. Rows and rows of bookshelves stood tall and high. The echoes of pages turning. Hollow footsteps of librarians. I felt at home. I stretched my hand out, my fingertips brushing the row of books. Then I stepped closer, tracing the spines of the books with my hands. How I love Haelun'or City. How I love its college. It has been my home. The place where I belong.

Tomorrow will be my day to leave Haelun'or City. My bags where packed at home. Long ago, my parents begged me to stay here. But no. I would like to roam the roads, taste adventure. I told my parents that it will be a learning experience. To try to be independent. Without the normal luxuries of life.

Suddenly I remember I was in the library. I continued to walk along the isle. Then I stopped as I reached my target. My life of Words the title said. Below it, it said the name Vanya. My mom. I gently esed the book out from the shelves, I stroked the worn leather cover. A tear glistened in my eye. When I leave Haelun'or, I will miss them indeed.

However I have made my decision. I had spent my previous years studying. My knowledge is much but I do not have experience. I shall travel to Malinor, to search for a job, to join a guild, to earn a position in the councils.

I will bring my trusty satchel. All the Minas I saved throughout the years of allowance. My secret berr and arrows. And my family heirloom, a studded dagger. Finally I will bring my favorite books, a diary and of course some red ripe apples.

That night, I dreams of adventures. Of a occupation. Of friends. I dream of my future. My life...
