Jon Evaglno 202 Share Posted February 4, 2013 Well, my minecraft is herping the derp in a big way. I was just bebopin' along, trying to open minecraft, and it freezes up on me. I'm stuck and I can't use my mouse to change direction nor can I access any menus. So, I turn off my computer. Naturally, to feed my addiction, I try to open MC again. Now, after I say I want to update later, it just sits there, claiming to be done loading but never going to the minecraft screen. This is on a Mac. I already tried redownloading minecraft, and the problem persisted. If anyone has a solution, let me know ASAP. Also, if this is in the wrong section, feel free to move it. The Cleaning Crew 571 Share Posted February 4, 2013 You say you've tried re-downloading minecraft, but did you make sure your old .minecraft folder was deleted first? Also, the server is updated.
Jon Evaglno 202 Author Share Posted February 4, 2013 You say you've tried re-downloading minecraft, but did you make sure your old .minecraft folder was deleted first? Also, I thought the server was updated. The thing is, there is no .minecraft folder on mac. I could check again, but I don't think there is one. [Edit]: after rechecking, I couldn't find a .minecraft folder. If anyone knows how to access it on Mac, that's a good place to start.

Major Dom 1297 Share Posted February 4, 2013 The problem is that you have a Mac. Buy a PC for god sakes. This happened to my friend one time, he did something like opening terminal and entering the command to delete the folder titled 'Minecraft' and then he re-downloaded Minecraft and it worked. Not quite sure how to fix your issue but this might help...
Morkas (Wrathstar555) 34 Share Posted February 4, 2013 I have the misfortune of owning a mac as well, and there is indeed a .minecraft folder. Click on your finder, and then up on the toolbar go to help. Type in Library, and click on it. In library, there's a folder called application support. Enter that, and in there, you should find your Minecraft folder (not a .minecraft, but it acts the same. stupid old mac.) Delete it, and you should be all set. Happened to me once or twice, and deleting+reinstalling always worked.
