IC Information

RP Name (This includes your character’s prefix): Si'Zuldaash

Character Sub-race: Kha'Cheetrah

Character appearance (Including age and gender):Si'Zuldaash is a relatively young Kharajyr at the age of 32, and appears very average for a male Kha'Cheetrah of this age. He is slightly taller and slimmer than most, but only very slightly. He appears regal, wearing clothes of silver and cyan, adorned with semi-precious metals and stones. Although he is not of noble birth, he is wealthy, and dresses accordingly, taking great pride in his appearance. His coat is of a rich, ight gold hue dotted with dark brown spots.

What is the personality of your character like?: Si'Zuldaash is a very levelheaded Kharajyr. He is calm and wise, and judges everything fairly and with an unbiased view. He takes great pride in his appearance and will very often groom himself. Although he is not particularly aggressive, he is not one to deny a great hunt, or take part in a battle for the honor and glory of Metztli, whom he worships very devoutly.

Brief Biography of this character’s life thus far (taking into account the rules against creating a character born outside of the empire):

Si'Zuldaash lived a very normal life. He was born to wealthy, respected parents in a relatively large litter of 6 surviving kittens. He was a sweet, good natured child who was very fond of both his parents and siblings. When Si'Zuldaash was just 11, two of his favorite siblings drowned while playing in a stream deep within the jungle. This event caused him much grief, and he fell into a period of depression and a lack of enthusiasm for life. He became very solemn and did not speak to anyone, save his parents and Metztli in prayer. When he turned 15 and his trials were becoming increasingly close, his parents became worried that he would not pass due to his emotional condition. In desperation, his parents, although not extremely devout, went and prostrated themselves in the temple, praying sincerely but silently to the almighty Daemon Metztli for their son to be saved from his affliction. For three days they repeated this action, pleading with Metztli to let their son succeed. Metztli answered them through the voice of a priest, who took them outside of the temple and said Si'Zuldaash would succeed, however a sacrifice must be made. Si'Zuldaash's father promised the priest anything Metztli asked, be it jewels or fine cloth, or even his own life. The priest said Metztli wanted none of these things, but only that Si'Zuldaash to dedicate his life to serving her in every way she asked. The parents were overjoyed and ran home to prepare their son for his trials.

Si'Zuldaash was brought before the Kun' by his parents. He was about to begin the first trial, the Trial of Crafting. The Kun' wished him luck, and sent him into the jungle with nothing but the clothes on his back. Si'Zuldaash had no idea what he was going to, seeing as he had not prepared for any of his trials due to his emotional state. He went to the stream where his siblings had died and sat down on the bank. He began to weep, and his tears fell and mixed with the clear water of the stream. He looked down and saw a patch of wet clay on the shore of the river. The clay was not unusual, for it was plentiful near sources of water. However, this clay was different, due to a small paw print that Si'Zuldaash himself had not made. He looked around, frightened that there were others watching him. Then he had an idea. He reached down and scooped up the wet and modifiable clay in his front paws and began to sculpt. He formed an oval-like shape, similar in size to a potato, and added more water to it. After many hours of sculpting and molding the clay, he had finally finished, and held a small idol of Metztli in his hands. Seeing that the sun was high in the sky and pleased with his work, he set the idol on a large, flat stone and laid down to sleep, basking in the sunlight. When he awoke, it was night, and the clay idol was now sun dried and hardened. He scooped it up and began to walk back to the Kun', confident now that he would pass his trials with the help of Metztli.

And so he did, with the great Daemon's help, Si'Zuldaash successfully completed his four trials, as well as the secret fifth, and became accepted as an adult Kharajyr and a fully fledged member of the community. He and his parents praised Metztli and although he was not as happy and lively as before, Si'Zuldaash was significantly happier than he had been since his siblings' deaths. His parents pulled him aside after his trials and told him of their prayers to Metztli and the sacrifice she demanded. Si'Zuldaash agreed without hesitation, and promised his parents to dedicate his life to serving Metztli and maybe even becoming a priest. His whole family was pleased with his performances, and the great celebrations lasted for days, with feasting, dancing, and joy.

Character’s ambitions within the Kharajyr: Si'Zuldaash wises only to serve Metztli and the Empire, and will do anything to accomplish these goals. He also wishes to eventually become a priest of Metztli and solidify and increase the faith of all Kha' in the empire.

Situational Roleplay Questions
1. You are heading home from a successful hunting trip when a group of three heavily armoured humans jump out from behind a tree and start demanding the surrender of your catch over to them. Each man has a sword drawn and they are gradually pacing towards you...

How does your character react?

Si'Zuldaash was out with his companions, hunting for fish and other wild game in the Jungle. It was a very successful hunt, and he had more than enough for himself after the catch had been divided among them. While walking home, three heavily armored humans leap out from the undergrowth and point their blades at him. "Oi! Kitty! 'and over that food 'n nobody gets 'hurt." they say to him. Si'Zuldaash calmly replies "Zees fuud belawng tu Si'Zuldaash. He caatch eet heemself, nawt yu.". The humans growl at him, disregarding his logic, and advance towards Si'Zuldaash, swords outstretched. He quickly hatches a plan. Hoisting his silver staff-like war spear over his head, he closes his eyes and begins to chant quietly, as if casting a spell. The humans halt their advance and look nervously at Si'Zuldaash. "W'uts 'e doin'?" one asks another. The human replies "Looks like black magic. Ive 'eard about this stuff, lets get out o' 'ere!". The party decides that stealing the catch is not worth it, and they turn and run off, cursing and swearing Si'Zuldaash and the Kharajyr. Si'Zuldaash lowers his spear, chuckling at the ignorance of the humans, who did not know that he was not versed in the ways of magic. He said a silent prayer to Metztli for his good fortune and continued to walk home, his catch still in hand.

2. You arrive at the temple of Metztli only to see one of your closest friends stealing the sacred blue gems from the altar, a most unholy act for a Kharajyr.

How does your character react?

It was early in the morning, before most of the empire was awake, when the sun was just barely stretching over the horizon. Si'Zuldaash awoke early this morning to pray in the great temple before noise from the outside world distracted him from his prayers. As he walks to the temple, he sees one of his closest friends sprinting away from it and towards him. Si'Zuldaash stops his friend and says "Whawt ees Si'Kalta dueeng? She ees run su fawst, why?" Si'Kalta stammers out a response, clearly hiding something in a cloth. "Si'Kalta m-must get home beefure... beefure zee suun rises.". Si'Zuldaash noticed the cloth and points to it. "Whawt ees zees Si'Kalta has?" he says. "Eet ees nutheeng, Si'Zuldaash must nawt be su cuureus." she replies, rolling her 'r' in the last word for emphasis. He attempts to take the bundle from her arms but she pulls back. As she does so, she stumbles and falls over, letting the sacred blue gems fall to the ground. Si'Zuldaash cries out, horrified that such a trusted friend would commit such an unholy deed. He carefully picks them each up, dusting them off and kissing them. He places them in the cloth and wraps it up again. Si'Kalta begins to sob and begs that Si'Zuldaash not tell a soul. He only stares down at her, his expression a mix of pity and anger. "Si'Kalta meens nutheeng tu Si'Zuldaash naw." he says, spitting on her and walking to the temple to replace the sacred jewels.

3. You are in the Cloud Temple when a stout, angry little dwarf begins yelling highly racist terms towards you at the top of his lungs. Although unarmed, the dwarf continues to yell after he makes eye contact with you.

How does your character react?

Si'Zuldaash was in the Cloud Temple, heading back to the Kha' lands, when a stout dwarf begins to shout at him and insult him. "Aye! Milk drinka'! Why dun' y'u come 'n le'mme pet'cha!" the dwarf says. His other dwarf friends slap him on the back and roar with laughter, clearly intoxicated. Si'Zuldaash makes a disgusted face when he smells the horrible odor of unholy alcohol on their breath and ignores their taunts. The dwarf proceeds to continue insulting Si'Zuldaash, as well as his family, Metztli, and all Kharajyr. Si'Zuldaash, unable to ignore their taunts any longer, stops and turns slowly to face them. He sees that they are unarmed and speaks carefully to them. "Smawl ape must remembur zat he uunly breengs hees awn destructsheen.". The dwarves erupt with laughter at Si'Zuldaash's voice and words, continuing to mock the Kha' and all aspects of their way of life. Si'Zuldaash turns once again and continues to walk, ignoring the insults and curses being thrown at him from the dwarves. He silently prays to Metztli to give him the strength to keep his temper and smiles as he walks, knowing that Metztli will curse and destroy all who defile her name.

4. Fire has broken out over the jungle city and you can hear the screaming of two Kha’ nearby. As you go investigate, you notice that one of your friends and the Tlatlanni’s white-furred child have gotten themselves trapped in opposite ends of a burning building. The roof creaks above you, if you were to get involved, you would only have time to save one before the building collapsed.

How does your character react?

Si'Zuldaash woke up to the smell of flames and the cry of the Kha'. Sitting bolt upright, he quickly dresses himself and, not taking the time to do his usual grooming, grabs his spear and bolts out of the door. The city is on fire. Taking action, he runs to the sobbing mother and father of one of his friends and says "Whawt ees wrawng Sa'Kumba?". The father replies "Si'Panga, zee suun of Sa'Kumba and zee frend of Si'Zuldaash, he ees cawght een zee burneeng beelding!". "Si'Zuldaash weel save Si'Panga. Wuury nawt." says Si'Zuldaash as he turns and runs into the flaming building, calling out for Si'Panga. He sees Si'Panga and runs towards him. A large peice of the building has fallen onto Si'Panga's legs and he cannot move. Si'Zuldaash tries with all of his might to move the piece, but he is not nearly strong enough. Si'Panga coughs and lets out a raspy command, pointing to the other side of the long room. "Nawt... Si'Panga. Save... Tla'Morthawl's child.". Si'Zuldaash nods sadly and does as his friend has told him, moving in the direction he was pointing. The young child of the Tlatlanni is sitting behind a flaming hunk of wood, crying his eyes out. Si'Zuldaash reaches over to grasp the child by his arm and haul his safely over the flames. The child is light and this action is done easily, although Si'Zuldaash's shining gold fur is charred and covered in soot and burns. He runs out of the building with the child in his arms just as the entrance collapses in flame.
