Definitions

* Role-playing:
Playing as another character. All actions taken should be taken from the viewpoint of the character you chose to be. Breaking your role is breaking yourself.
* Meta-gaming:
Using any knowledge your character doesn't have to exploit events/the game. So basically using out-of-character information in the roleplaying game.
* Power-emoting:
Using an overpowered emotion, so other people can't use anything in return. For instance: A: "Starts attacking B" B: "Cuts A across his arm" A: "Chops off B's arms and legs and kills the entire [...] race" (Ok a bit too much, but I hope you get my point xD)

Past /
History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):

Konder was born in Karik on November 25th. Konder's parents (Donten and Salva Gintoss) were not wealthy, but they got food on the table by mining. A few months after Konder turned 3, his parents disappeared. Konder was picked up by his uncle (Gregtorn Cavehold). Gregtorn owned the mining company Konder's parents worked at. Konder grew up learning about the art of mining. He met some other orphans like him, who were also in the care of Gregtorn. When Konder turned 12, Gregtorn decided it was time to tell him about his parents.

9 years ago, Donten and Salva Gintoss were mining in a new tunnel, together with Gregtorn and 12 other miners. The tunnel started collapsing, and falling rocks instantly killed Salva. Donten was devestated, and Gregtorn had to drag him out of the tunnel, knowing there wasn't anything they could do. 9 other dwarves were killed by falling debris. The 5 remaining dwarved returned to their camp nearby, devestated by the loss of their companions. When night fell, Donten sneaked out of the camp to find Salva. When Gregtorn was woken up by another miner, he knew what was wrong before he was told. He hurried to the collapsed tunnel, only to find Donten crushed by a rock and missing one arm. When Gregtorn recovered Donten's body, he found the Donten's arm, holding the lifeless body of Salva deep in the debris. Gregtorn decided he would raise all of the children these workers left behind. The 4 remaining dwarves put everything they had into creating a safe mining company, where such casualties would never happen. Gregtorn was elected leader of the company.

Konder swore that he would make mining safer, and began mining more with his uncle, making safe tunnels with support, and strengthening older tunnels as well. His uncles company was located deep below the ground, and a bit away from Karik. It was a secluded place, devoted only to mining. The base camp only had some housing for dwarves, and a food shelter. Gregtorn would go to Karik together with another company executive, and trade their mining gains for food. Konder stayed at the mining camp. He and the other orphans quickly grew older. There were 4 orphans. Derbo Kinheim, Testal Kinheim, Wandel Canshovel and Konder Gintoss. They often went out in a mining part with Gregtorn or one of the other company executives. Konder often talked about the outside world with the other orphans. A world which they have never seen before. They started making up terrifying facts about the overworld. Big flying lava spewing rocks would roam the overworld, looking for Dwarves to eat. Or so the orphans told each other. The orphans had barely even seen the dwarven capitol Karik, much less something like the outside world. All they did all day was mine, and talk. When Konder turned 19, he decided he would go to the outside world, by digging one big safe tunnel from Karik through their mining camp, up to the surface. Gregtorn approved of the plan, and decided he would lay down a railway to grand quicker access to and from their company camp. Konder and the orphans started building day in and day out, for 1 year long they mined and mined. The tunnel was progressing very slowly, because the company wanted safety before speed. A month after Konder turned 22, the orphans hit a lava lake. Lava started running into the tunnel. This was something they had never foreseen. The wooden tunnel support beams started burning up and collapsing, taking the tunnel with it. Every single worker of Gregtor's company died that day, aside Konder, Testal, and Wandel, who were trapped in the tunnel on a small ridge above the flowing lava. The 3 had little supplies left, just s2 flasks of water, and 1 bread. After 2 days, the 3 decided they would not make it out. They evenly split up the bread and water, and pretended to have a feast with everyone. The 3 started drying out quickly. After what seemed like ages, Konder heared debris being moved. A light started beaming in the small trapped area. After a moment Gregtor showed up. He lacked a left arm and his left foot. He took Konder and the other 2 out of the debris, and dragged them to karik. Konder passed out, and woke up at the ridge of Karik. His uncle had died, and so had Wandel and Testal. Konder was saved by a passerby. He was burned all over his body, and sadly, the skin would never heal completely.

When Konder was healthy (aside from his skin) He vowed to go to the overworld, and learn about the other creatures above the ground. He vowed to return to the old mining camp, and tell everything he experienced at the graves of his friends, parents and uncle. He vowed to go on an adventure for them, and meet many different people. He knew almost nothing about the outside world, heck, he barely knew anything about the dwarves living in Karik. Konder waited one month after his recovery to build up his stamina again. After that he set out. Travelling towards the light, and the world which spawned it.

Open-Response-Questions
Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.
____

1. Whilst mining deep in the undergrounds of Kalos you see a large deposit of diamond ore at the other side of the ravine you are on. There is a very thin rock bridge that looks precariously unstable, but it is the only way to access the deposit. What do you do?

Answer: I know how important safety is. I will reconstruct the bridge, no matter how long it will take. I really want those diamonds, but I will not risk my life for something as insignificant as wealth. It takes a lot longer than taking the unstable bridge, but eventually I get to the diamonds, and made a path for other peeople to use so they can cross the ravine too. I venture on, forgetting my tools at the bridge.

2. You are sitting in the local tavern with a large pint of ale in your hand - sitting nearby you is a rather young dwarf whom is clearly going through a bad time. He is crying to himself, and clutching a small wooden hammer toy. In the other corner of the room two shady dwarves are sitting whispering to each other and pointing occasionally at the dwarf. They stand up, one with a small dagger in his hand and begin to approach the young dwarf. What do you do?

Answer: I stand between the shady dwarves and the young dwarf. Defend him with my life. Protecting a fellow creatures life is more important than (your own) safety. I will not attack first, allowing the shady dwarves to either clear up the misunderstanding, leave, or engage combat with me. I think about every option briefly, if they clear a misunderstanding, it calls for some more ale for everyone, if they leave, ale for me and the young dwarf. If they fight I will protect the young dwarf with my life. I will not kill them, but they will not leave without injury. After that... well it's said ale is a good cure for wounds...

3. Whilst wandering through the Dwarven Caverns you hear a voice call out to you; Oi, ye’! Cmere n get yerself an ale!”. You spin on your heel and see a heavily bearded bar-owner looking at you - a huge grin on his face, and a mug of ale in his hand. How do you react?

Answer: I smile at him, and sit down at the chair in front of the bar. I talk to him a bit, and shout to keep them coming, nothing beats a good pint o' ale and meeting new dwarves. I try to engage a conversation with the other dwarves in the bar, and talk their ears off. Of course I give them some time to speak up as well. When I leave the bar I realise I was going to use my money for buying food instead of ale, and start searching for an odd job to do so I can continue my travels.
