The Best Of The Sentinels

A very large plaque made from the bark of a tree hangs from the branches of a tree, at the docks. On it there is writing, engraved into bark. A purple resign makes the names stick out to be clearly noticeable.

Even the most mighty of armies have a handful of people who blind others from greatness and cause the truth to be warped into a heinous black lie. However, there is also people who are not weak or foolish and will stand up for what's right. These people loose their credit to the others.

The Sentinels below work for the progression of elves and I trust them with my life and they deserve credit for their efforts

Azel

Almecki

Cole

Elerel

Serva

Iaewon

Feranhir

Lyweneth

I know there is many Sentinels who are not on this list who are better, if that's so then expect your name to be among these above in time.

Prince Khel Oussana

Azel stares at the list blankly.

"Why do people acknowledge me?"

He asks no one in particular, while reading the list.

Khel put Azel first for a reason

Azel stares at it for several more minutes, not quite sure what to think of it. Eventually he realizes why he was placed first and smiles to himself, nodding in approval.

"Thank you brother."

Azel walks nearby, standing under the shadow of a stall while watching the docks.

*Iatrilemar stares at the list*

"I don't see my name up there"

*steps back realizing that he hasn't been a sentinel in almost 30 years yet he still clings to the habits he developed there.*

Quavinir wealks up to the plaque, and frowns, his red eyes marked with sadness.

"Zey steel forget zee others, so easily,"

Quavinir takes out a small quill, and writes two new names under the plaque.

Glylith Lightforge

Chirr'Siol

Quavinir smiles nostalgicly, his expression different, an almost dreamy recollection of some other time long forgotten by all others.

"Leeve vell my llirs."

He says. Quavinir closes his eyes, knowing well that the ink will soon fade, or be wiped off by someone. He than walks away, his yellow coat flapping in the wind.

Orym raises an eyebrow when he doesn't see his name.

"Hrm... must of been a mistake."

Orym then shrugs, strolling off.

A note is posted, written in elegant black ink. It is stamped with the insignia of the Ministry.

This is a foolish venture, to attempt and hand pick what you deem as "the best of the Sentinels". The Truth is that all Sentinels protect us. All of them do their best and work their hardest to keep Malinor safe, and its citizens protected. Your intentions may be noble, but all this "list" does is further dissent, frustration, and anger among Malinor, especially the Sentinels themselves.

The Ministry strongly suggests you take it down; a list is not needed, for we all recognize the bravery and skill of the Sentinels as a whole. Just as we draw strength from each other, so do the Sentinels.

*Artimec scowls as the passes the list reading each name one by one.*

...Half of these people have broken more laws than they've upheld...

*Artimec otherwise emotionlessly strolls off, jotting something down into a notebook.
