Definitions

In your own words
define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing: Acting
like somebody or something you’re not. But unlike normal acting, when you Role
Play you must take your role very seriously.

Meta-gaming:Using things that your character should not know, such as your character knowing about a character because you read his biography on the forum, and then your character automatically knows it.

Power-emoting: Unfairly
roleplaying. Basically, you have an overpowered character who does things that
should be impossible or unfair, such as one-hit killing or dodging every attack.

In-Character
Information:

Complete the
following biography on your character:

Full Name: Pierre
Flahough

Current Age: 28

Sub-race (if any):
Northerner

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Pierre was born and
raised in Ager by a rather poor family. He was never big into physical
activities, and excelled in his mother, Thresa’s lessons about the world. He
always dreamed of going on an adventure, but at the age of 12 he became rebellious.
He was defiant to authority, and got himself into trouble. Days after his 15th
birthday, his father Dunkin was arrested for killing a dwarf in a drunken rage,
and he was never heard from again.

When his father was
put away, Pierre left his home armed with nothing but a stone sword and a dream
to explore. He traveled from city to city, meeting people and learning new
things. He and his mother reunited years later, and Pierre became more of a
local adventurer, talking to people in Ager and learning more about Asulon’s
history.

But when the plague struck,
Thresa died of the Plague. Pierre hid out in a small community of goblins,
where he learned some blah. However, bandits attacked the village and Pierre
ran off again. He traveled around the world, trying to stay as far away from
life as possible. But one day, he saw boats being boarded by the shore. He
could finally leave his past behind and start a new life in another land.

Ambitions for the Future: Pierre wants to become
fluent in blah and discover the world’s many secrets.

Personality: Pierre prefers to talk his way out of situations instead of
facing them head-on. He rarely uses his sword, but he always carries it around
as a last resort. He is cocky and sometimes he doesn’t think his plans through
well enough which leads to some sticky situations. He always wants to learn
more about the world and the creatures that live there.

Skills: Pierre has vast knowledge of the land and its inhabitants. He
can fluently speak common and can speak very little blah. He is a fast talker
and has gotten out of many violent situations by reasoning with people. He is
decent at best with a bow and is terrible at swordplay. He has spent enough
time running from combat to know how to evade captors and sneak away from an
enemy, something that has saved his life more than once.

Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin):

Can't post it here, I have it saved on my computer and I don't know how to upload. However, he looks like a normal human with black hair and a simple leather coat.

Any other details you wish to share about your character:None.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question in this section must be
answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.

1. Whilst in the mighty human
capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?

Answer: The figure climbs up the side of a building and draws a blade.
An assassin. I inhale and yell “ASSASSIN!” at the top of my lungs. Every guard
in the square can hear me and they run towards my direction.

“Where?” One of them
asks. I point at the rooftops where the assassin is trying to escape. The
guards chase after him and I watch as they restrain the killer and drag him
away.

2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you
come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable
old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?

Answer: Not being one to solve problems with violence, I approach the
bandits with my weapon sheathed. “What’s going on here?” I ask, stepping
between the two parties.

“Stand aside or else
you’re next.” One of the bandits orders, pointing his sword at my throat. I
draw my bloodstained sword and hold it in a defensive position. “Trust me, you
don’t want your blood to join theirs.” I bluff. In all honesty, that is my
blood from when I accidently cut my shoulder while practicing.

The second bandit
draws his sword and steps close to me. I point it at him as well. “I have taken
on at least five better armed scumbags at once. You won’t fare any better than
they did.” The bandits called my bluff.

“Then you can take
us.” The second bandit taunted. They charged at me with weapons drawn. I
clumsily blocked the first attack with the blunt side of the sword and the
second bandit cut a strap off of my leather armor. I recoiled from the strike
and dropped the sword. “Some tough guy, eh?” The second bandit asked his
partner.

“Suuuure.” The first
one quipped and charged me. I ducked under the strike and started to run away
from the bandits as fast as possible. They chased after me, but I scampered up
a tree and jumped onto another. I slid down the trunk of the second tree as
they were inspecting the first and dashed off.

3. You are standing within the
mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of
general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

Answer: I walk up to the stall and browse his wares. An odd trinket
catches my eye that is shaped like the Orcish god, Krug. “Where did you find
this?” I ask.

“I uh, found it in a
cave in the countryside. I can’t remember where, but it uh, was definitely a
cave.” This guy was obviously a thief, trying to sell any objects he once had.
I grinned and toss a single minas onto the stall.

“Here, I’m being
generous.” The thief scoffs at my offer.

“I could never sell
such a rare artifact at such a low price!” He demands, appalled by my offer.

“How about you sell it
to me and I don’t alert the authorities?” I lean in close to him with an
arrogant smirk on my face.

The thief’s eyes went
wide. “Fine. Take it and leave!” He shouts at me. I pick up the trinket and
walk away from him, but not before sarcastically thanking him for his business.

A splendid application, job well done! You included a good amount of server lore, and showed a developed, interesting character.

We are currently living in the Lands of Anthos, where your character's journeys will be held.

If you have any questions, feel free to private message me. You will be white listed soon!
