A Note On The Board

A single letter is set up on the main board of Malinor. The writing is terrible, but readable.

"My fellow Mali. I write to you this note before I leave for banishment. You may have met me, you may not. My name is Laila Darkspire. I was a medic, a healer, and a fighter. I have chosen banishment for a crime I never committed over having to work with someone who has attempted to take my life several times now. Who could do this? Aislinn. Aislinn has attacked me four times in the past four elven days. His last attack left me badly wounded, unable to use my right eye or arm. Even with witnesses of the attack on my side, he was given community service for the second time! How can people believe they are safe when murderers and criminals are given a slap on the wrist? Now I leave, fearing the safety of myself and my child, believing he will hurt us again, much worse because the high prince has deemed it necessary to force attacker and victim to work at the same time. I am sorry High Prince, but your judgement is clouded and unfair. I have left someone I have grown to love, family, friends, all for my safety. I rather live with Humans and Orcs than be under your rule where your judgement is so poor. Mali, Please be cautious of the man named Aislinn, he is unstable. The moment you turn your back on him may end in your death. Believe my words if you wish, or his. But this is the word of a mother fearing for her child.

Laila Darkspire."

*It seems the note has been torn down*

*Relgard sees the note, reading it. He grins, taking out some paper and attaching a note below.*

"What you write is true. I myself have been the subject of his needless violence. His apparent insanity. He runs free, assaulting at his own will, yet he accuses me of something, and now I face trial. This cannot be allowed to stand.

-Relgard Sintel"

Arahael frowns as she passes the note on the notice board.

Yet it was none of her business.

Though she made a mental note never to join the Ministry of Information.

Aislinn walks up and reads the note, ripping it down and bringing it back home, where he tosses it in the fire.

He mumbles to himself..

As if torturing, attacking, and perhaps even killing me wasn't enough, this madwoman needs to slander and lie about me as well.

((Thanks, as if it wasn't depressing enough to have my character leave and lose a friend in the process...))

((I'm sorry you feel this way, but my character has had enough stacked against him. As if he wasn't in deep garbage already..))

The note is reposted and a copy sent to Relgard. Someone must want the truth out there.

Laila walks up to the board and rips down the page. "If murderers are treated with community service...then no one will mind." she says softly as she rips down her replaced note. She smiles darkly. She will serve time, but only long enough to get what she needs done. Besides, can't have the sentinel medic banished? She smiles softly as she tosses the note away and looks for someone to give her direction on community service. Once she gets the clinic up and running, she will start taking down Aislinn for his crimes.
