Scaddernaks!

[Arteh 1837]

Vrogak sits patiently in his throne as he waits for Izagubog to finish maping the lands they have discovered in Anthos. Farok'Gorkil yells "Rehx! Rehx". Vrogak looks to the door as he sits patiently on his throne, nodding to Rramab to allow entrance into the palace. Farok rushes in as she says...

 

 

"Rehx, dey bi skaddahnakz in da Uzg. Graanak agh Draka gu tu klomp dem"

 

Vrogak's eyes squint as he looks to Rramab..

 

"Hozh den"

 

 

He nods to Rramab signaling for him to get ready as Vrogak promptly calls for his Warboar 'Drukka'. Rramab comes out with a blade as he passes it over to Vrogak. The sun slowly sinks below the thick sands of the Uzg. Night falls. Vrogak grabs on his Warboar and yanks it with pace as he kicks the sides to fasten the movement whilst following Farok. Farok leads Vrogak to the cave in which Draka and Graanak had gone as the Rex slowly unsheathes his blade not expecting what is to come as they slowly lower themselves into the pit of the cave. They delve deep into the cave following the sounds made by Graanak and Draka as they eventually find themselves facing small scorplings. The mother scaddernak was here. Vrogak promptly smashed his blade deep into the head of the Scorpling giving it an easy and quick death as the found themselves inches away from Graanak and Draka side by side.

 

From afar the mother Scaddernak was not easily seen except from its claws. Vrogak promptly raises his hand in the air to signal to the Orcs to stop moving forward. They follow the order by the Rex as he directs Graanak'Gorkil to ready his bow incase. Vrogak slowly moves in closer to catch a glimpse of the Scaddernak mother as it slumbered hauntingly before him. Vrogak crept above the small piles of dirt and gravel and slowly lowered himself into the cave in which the Scaddernak mother settled with stealth as he slowly moved around her. There he seen the Scaddernak eggs laying behind her. He slowly crept his way into the egg pit as he tried to carry one. The Scaddernak eggs being extremely heavy made this a difficult task for the Rex to take back safely and undetected so Vrogak unclipped his armor and only kept his blade sheathed within his belt. Vrogak picks up an egg with not much effort to hear a 'screech' behind him. There he seen the small scaddernak as he lowered the egg with the young Scaddernak venturing closer to Vrogak in order to attack him. Vrogak silently unsheathes his blade and meets the young Scaddernak at it's neck slaying it but not without a loud screech coming from it, awakening it's mother. 

 

Screeches and squeals could be heard throughout the desert as the raging Scaddernak mother rose from her slumber to address the intruders in her cave. With a shunning blow the stinger of the Scaddernak landed right in front of Vrogak as he pulled himself back and closer to the wall. Upon hearing the noises Graanak took aim with his bow as the Rramab readied his blade in order to aid the Rex. Graanak landing a hit straight away on the Scaddernak. But it does nothing but agitate and infuriate the already angered Scaddernak mother as it lands another devestating blow into the cave in which Vrogak was up against a wall in. This time, with such force the Scaddernak mothers stinger got stuck inside the cave walls as Vrogak found it the best time to escape the cave in which he was stuck. His goal was to re-group with the others and leave with them all. Vrogak charged out carrying the egg within his arm to reach the edge, the Scaddernak mother just meters away from him as he could not climb up the rope with the heavy Scaddernak egg. Rramab pulls his hands out, being an Olog he pulled the egg up without any hassle giving Vrogak more time and space to move up the drop.

 

Vrogak looses grip on the rock as he promptly pulls his other hand over to regain his grip. Draka attempts to help the Rex but falls into the pit with the Scaddernak. Vrogak looking above him to find the Orcs and a safe escape with the Egg or should he go back to save Draka from the Scaddernak. The Rex lets go off the rock as he lands down, resting his palm into the moist dirt of the cave looking to Draka, inches away from the Scaddernak as the rocks come flying. Releasing the stinger from the cave. Vrogak swiftly jumps over to grab Draka as he attempts to pull her to safety but down comes a devastating blow from the Scaddernak mothers claw, grazing and slicing down the back of Draka as Vrogak swings his thick blade towards the claws, grazing them allowing Draka to be free from the grip of the Mother Scaddernak's claws. Graanak throws down the rope as Rramab is carrying the egg out of the cave. Draka is pushed up to safety by the aid of Vrogak and the rope as. The Scaddernak gnaws at Vrogak as he is pushing up Draka to reach her to safety, the Mother Scaddernak manages to chew out 2 fingers from Vrogak's left hand as he roars in anger and rage. Engaging his bloodlust. Vrogak swiftly runs to the side with his blade in his right hand slicing it towards the Mother Scaddernak, grazing her chin. Barely. Vrogak backs up to meet with the Mother Scaddernak as he grips his blade with both of his hands. With a thrusting and gouging blow the Mother Scaddernak again launches its stinger towards Vrogak. Vrogak launches himself to the side as his blade gets caught within the stinger, shattering it into mere shards and a hilt. Angered and enraged Vrogak foolishly picks up the shard of the shattered blade and lunges it into the Scaddernak Mothers side as it squeals and screeches loudly. Knowing he had hurt it ever so slightly Vrogak manages to climb up and leave the cave to find Draka, Rramab and Graanak waiting for his return with confidence. The Egg safely in the hands of Rramab and Draka gravely hurt. Vrogak roars loudly followed by the roars of the other Orcs as he tells Graanak and Rramab to head back to the holy city with Draka on his Warboar as she was gravely injured.

 

Appon return to the Holy City. Vrogak returns to his palace as the onlookers gaze towards Rramab dressed proudly with a dead Young Scaddernak on his shoulder. Vrogak goes up into his palace room after instructing Rramab to place the egg safely in a secure location with enough warmth and moisture for it to hatch without disruption. Vrogak then looks to Izagubog and tells him to get Craotor'Lur as he is being treated by the Shamans of the Uzg. Draka lay in the palace as she was gravely wounded being healed by the Shamans.
