Role-playing: Role-playing is acting as someone else entirely. Meaning you don't bring anything from reality into the game itself. You take up the way the characters would speak and act they way they would.

 

Meta-gaming:The act of using knowledge of a game to influence your actions within the game in a generally unsporting manner. For example: A Dwarf would go into an Elven city not knowing where to go yet the player knows where every room is.

 

Power-emoting: This is when you for instance use an emote that says "I ate the world", no other player can counter it as the world is gone. Its where you are preventing a person or group of people from doing something about it to stop it.

Full Name: Illuvitar

Current Age: 84

Sub-race (if any): High Elf

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Illuvitar is a High Elf that started his life in the Silver City. He was born with his parents hoping to be a librarian or some other intelligent being. But Illuvitar chose a different path. He wanted to be a hunter of the forest. By the time he was 14 he showed he was born for a bow when he had shot Orc from 150 meters while he was target practicing with a tree.

Now that he is in his eighties, he has become a guard on a wall. He protects the city while keeping a high social status with many of the townsfolk. He is especially fond of being in the trees when off duty and drinking fine wine from the cellars of the Great High Elf.

Ambitions for the Future: Become a captain of the guard.

Personality: Happy and outgoing. He is quick to anger when under threat.

Skills: A great archer.

1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of High Elves are mocking a small Wood Elf child. How do you react?

 

Answer: I go up to the group and the conversation breaks out."Why are you messing with a small child?" I said. "Child or not he is a wood elf, they don't deserve any sympathy" says one of the elf's  "Doing this is making are brilliant race look horrible, leave this place now!" They quickly shuffle off leaving the child and I alone. "Why are you alone in the woods young one? You should not be out here alone". "I-I-I was with my father when it got dark, we had lost each other while going through the woods to get to the road. I have been here waiting for him for a good 6 hours until the elves came along and started bullying me. Then you came along". "How far back did you lose your father?" "About 10 minutes before I had found my way here". "I will search for him, wait here". I walked into the forest looking for him when I found a party or orcs have barred his way. I quickly unleash a barrage of arrows felling 3 of the 7. Being quick on reflexes he quickly dashes forward killing 2 others. The others flee from us seeing how much stronger we are. "Hail friend" he says. "Thank you for your help". "No need to thank me, come let me take you to your son". His face brightens from hearing news of his son. As we exit the forest onto the road the father quickly runs to his son and embraces him. It is a happy day for them. After saying our goodbyes I leave heading back towards the capital.

 

2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do?

 

Answer: When the man drops his bag of Minas on the ground I come forward asking if he would like some assistance(I always help people of great wisdom). When I help him I ask if he would like to accompany me on the way to Malinor. The man who was on his way there at the time quickly accepts and offers some money for the kindness I have shown him. I refuse the money and still help him along the way to his destination. After getting to a crossroad, he reveals himself to be a great wizard among men. He offers me wisdom from his books which I quickly accept.

 

3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved).

 

Answer: Whilst walking along in the woods, I spot a carriage that has a lot of odd items on it. I walk up to it and start looking through the items when a spot a long bow of ancient craft. The man (trader) then walks up to me... "Hello my good sir, I see you have caught your eye upon a worthy bow for someone as yourself. I'm in a good mood today so I am willing to set up a bargain for you. You name the price and i'll decide upon it." He said. "How does 500 Minas sound to you?" I said. "This bow it worth a bit more than that, how about 700?" "600" "650" "635 or I walk away." He then thought for a minuet. After a bit of waiting he decided to sell me the bow and left soon after. Getting back to the city I tested the bow on the archery range to find it was worth far more than what it was bought for. The arrows alone froze once shot through the air. The orcs would have a hard time getting to are walls...
