Regarding New Leadership.

"Yet here you stand, acting as though you are entitled to a position of power? Wise people, the Elves. Capable of seeing through empty promises gifted by a Valah with the form of a Mali. Criticise your own kind all you will, you will never be a true leader with this behaviour."

Don't be so naive, I never sought power. The position of High Prince has been shat on far too many times, and besides, this is far more entertaining than watching animals walk by and trees blow in the wind. The only wise thing this one has done is stepped through the hole that was left by myself and many others, and joined many other parties claiming Malinor. It is laughable that you say I lust for power, yet here you are following this one that has mobilised a supposed friendly town. If I am a "Valah" with the form of a "Mali", then does that make you a Halfling with the form of a "Mali"?

"Follow? I'm practically opposing him. As for my form, I'm rather taken aback that you wouldn't even begin to deny such a claim of being Valah, I have nothing to deny. 'This one' has not set a plan to invade Malinor with foreign armies if it's people refuse to submit. 'This one' promises ties that will last rather than prove worthless after blood has been shed. I'm truly disappointed. That you could not simply allow this to go on without delivering a cynical opinion and a jab at all Elven kind. It honestly saddens me."

Vanir, looking at the two arguing, steps forward to interject.

"Stop this immaturity. Insults thrown back and forth do nothing but hinder progress. I happen to agree with one of you, but the fact remains that neither of you should be acting like this. It detracts from the actual issue and makes Malinor seem like a bunch of petulant Mali."

*writes a letter on the note*

Dear Artimeck I have known you long and well and we have been striving for the same thing. I have a idea though.

Your government idea is good as are others but I want to add something. We need laws we need leaders. And on last thing. I believe the Mali'aheral should no longer be separated but instead come to terms with the fact we are all mali.  And I'm proud to say I'm unbanished.

A small note is written in a neat cursive beneath Rarethorn's.

"If you wish respect for being an elf, respect our wish to live as we please.

L. Sullas."

Bircalin's cloudy white eyes shift to Vanir with a sense of unease before he nods somewhat.

"You are most certainly correct. You'll have to forgive me, I simply tire of our kind being branded as fools and imbeciles for our ways. I have a burning passion to keep all Mali safe and well cared-for. It is not something I will ever deny. As for the claim of my heritage, yes, yes I was once a Halfling. It is not my place to bring such a story here, this is by far from an approriate setting. But let it be known I am how I am now..."

Bircalin brings his fingertips to gently brush against the edges of his lips, the skin forming an unnatural texture as it tightens. He repeats the action to the corners of his eyes before lowering his hand.

"...I am how I am now, due to my faith in Malin, our people and my willingness to do -whatever- it takes to protect our kin."

His expression darkens only somewhat as his voice deepens to an almost malevolent tone, his expression quizzical and filled with accusation. The misty eyes looking to where Rhazev stood(stands) before continuing.

"When a 'Halfling' lead his Elves unto the Undead fortress, ask yourself where you were..."

To prevent breaking his mental tether, Bircalin breaks eye contact with those around him before taking a handful of steps away to allow the Mali to talk amongst themselves. Though his interest is still peaked, the simple reminder of Drauchriem and the sadistic touch of molten lava upon flesh brings him into a sense of solitude.

Vanir casts his gaze around, his face an odd expression of sorrow, hope, and despair.

"This is why Malinor must be made anew. A government that oversees three states, a single council and one High Ruler that are both elected by the people and subject to their rule. We need a simple, workable system so that Mali, who are weak alone and divided, can be strong standing among others. Separate, but equal. By choice the races are segregated, rather than pushed together by force. This way, hostile realtions can pass and we can focus on bettering ALL Mali as opposed to just our own."
