Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!: Role-playing: the act of taking a role of something/someone in which you’re usually unfamiliar with and acting out it. It also encompasses changing someone’s behavior to assume a role. (improv, Drama, Larping) Meta-gaming: when someone’s talking in OOC and tell there cords, but even though it’s OOC you still go the position when you’re in game character in unaware of it. Power-emoting: power gaming, so for instance I’m fighting with someone and before I get a chance to do anything they say *cutting off your head* so it’s sort of impossible for you to win. In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Craig Storm Mathtism Current Age: 34 Sub-race (if any): Halfing Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Craig Storm Mathtism lived a very sheltered life. School was dull to him, even though he excelled through everything he did, his parents thought that he lacked the motivation to accomplish anything. Craig tended to keep to himself, however enjoyed torturing others spontaneously, even though he was sinister, he never showed his sadistic mind in public, he would only dream up scenarios of evil, never follow through. Occasionally others could see through his façade, due to this the children he grew up with believed that he was born from a evil being, and was adopted by the parents Mulk and Gole Mathtism. Mulk and Gole were two very charitable couples and this helped others put up with Craig Mathtism. People say that if Mulk and Gole had not been such admirable Halfings Craig would not be alive today. Grew up being infatuated with Rienanna Farenbrooke, every week once a night he Craig Strom Mathtism would sneak out trying to catch a glimpse of Rienanna, he knew her story and seemed to be attracted by her despair. However once she left for the Cloud Temple Craig seemed to have moved on but with her leave a part of him followed, Craig began to fall corrupt and his motives became more and more sinister with every passing day. Craig left his home at 13 and followed Rienanna Farenbrooke for he believed that her sight would cure his sinister thoughts. As he expected it did, yet he still did not have the courage to approach her, seeing Rienanna with Lorna crushed his sprit for she seemed happy. Craig Mathtism soon realized that he was attracted to despair, and that deep down his evil intentions were not by Rienanna ignoring him, but by his true dark soul. Craig Storm Mathtism is was known to be a corrupted child. Recently entering the age of 30 Craig seemed to have left behind his evil intention’s, many believe this however there is rumors that he has just gotten better at his guilty pleasure, Craig tends to cause havoc by practical pranks and occasionally moving others valuable items- yet never stealing them, despite his father’s dwarfren greed his intentions are not designed to make himself better off. His soul purpose for stealing is entertainment. Ambitions for the Future: Craig Storm Mathtism ambitions are clouded for his soul goal is to rebel. Craig does seem to follow a few guidelines: Mischief over Confrontation; never take the mud path, for footprints can be traced; never truly trust anything. He loves what the “The Black Hand” stand for, and intends to join them some day. Personality: mean to the evil, yet nice to the pure, twofaced, ill-tempered, witty, manipulative, logical, smart, unmotivated, backwards. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do? Answer: Craig Storm Mathtism follows the hooded man and notices that he is having trouble clarifying the best route to the palace, Craig begins to yell at the guards in the window and notifies them that a hooded man, in the opposite direction sending them on a wild goose chase and giving the hooded man access to the palace 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armor and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer: Craig Storm Mathtism neutrally approaches the two bandits and leads them off into the Rocky’s convincing them that he needs aid in order to recover a chest of much more value than this old mans cottage, once fifty miles away Craig flees from his followers and gives the Old Man enough time to pack up and leave, Craig escapes due to his swiftness. 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer: Mercent: you there, Halfling see anything that catchs your dwarf blood’s attention? Craig: that *points to the shoes* Mercent: 190 minas but for you, and sense we share a halfing nature- 150 minas Craig: aye’ but lassy, you see you and I share the same livein’ and you and I both know they go for 100 minas (knows the price on them are 120 minas, however the mercent is looking to sell out and will take what he get) Mercent: you drive a hard bargain there brother, but ey’ accept your terms. Your Biography was good however try to make sure you are using server lore, this will make your application a lot better and will also give you a quick learning adventure about Lord Of The Craft. Also go into detail about your character and maybe talk about a key event in his life or talk about his strengths and weaknesses The more detail about your characters life the better as it will tell us, The Application Team that you understand your characters role on Lord Of The Craft. Server Lore can be: Language, Place names, Characters, events, etc.. If you need any help on Server Lore or have any questions feel free to ask a lore master or member of the Application Team. I am sure they will be happy to help. Your Character Questions are too short, please answer these with a paragraph long answer. This will re-assure us that you understand your character well enough to role play with it. Your Open Response Question need to display the role play method in them to achieve an accepted application. You need to set it out like this: Edward looks around the Inn and notices a man tucked away in the corner. The man is wearing dark robes with a hood resting over his head. He walks across the room towards the man before calling over "Oi You! Come over here!" The man looks up towards Edward and gasps before attempting to get up and flee. You should set out your role play that and then we will know that you can control role play with your character and also know if you have the role-playing skills to obtain a place on our server. If you can do this method with every single Open Response Questions they will be at a closer to acceptable applications standard. However do not forget to include details about your character and too make sure you stay as your character throughout the role play.
