Definitions

In your own words define the following terms. Do not take
any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing: Making up a character to fit into the story
that revolves around the world/server, that you are playing, meaning, if you
are a Elf, act like an Elf would, say and do things accordingly.

Meta-gaming: Is when your character knows something that he
shouldn’t know, like an Orc knowing how to know math thus, giving the player an
advantage.

Power-emoting: Power-emoting is when, you don’t give the
other person a chance to fight back from things you do, for example,

“Jack steals Jon’s things.”

“Jack then kills Jon and disposes of his body.”

Jon does not have the option to defend himself

In-Character Information:

Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Jon Artmos

Current Age: 25

Sub-race: Halfling

Past / History:

Jon doesn’t remember much from his childhood,

except the frequent adventures to the Cloud Forest when he was 9, to gaze at bugs

(he isn’t afraid of them at that time) and wondering about life
and his cause in life (and the occasional afternoon tea). March 4, 3382, of the
second age. Evil had left the world but its essence still remained. The Cloud
Forest was old with age, dark and gloomy, but the rays of the sun would shine
through the tree tops and add a majestic feel. But, this old forest does not
come without its mysteries. One day Jon went out to the wood like he did every
day, to study different kinds of plants, taking notes and writing them in his
journal, but something would happen that would change his life forever. While
Jon was studying a special red leafed plant, that caught his eye immediately, a
large spawn of Spiders had just finished eating their first catch of the day,
had overheard Jon talking to himself about the plant. “It must be some sort of
azalea,” thought Jon. “Well I guess I must be off, it’s almost time for lunch.”
Before Jon could react, the spiders leapt at him. “Eek!” Cried Jon as the
spiders landed on him nipping and gnawing at him. At this time Jon had fallen
unconscious, from the shock.

“Good parry Godfree,” stated Artos, (Godfree’s master), “you are getting better every day my young lad.”

“Thank you master,” replied Godfree. Gofree was a Human boy of 13, long wavy, jet black
hair, with blue eyes, and strong jaw and brow. His shoulders were broad with a
sturdy frame, a good body for a swordsman to have. Godfree had heard the shrieks of pain resounding throughout the forest.

Just as the spiders were about to finish Jon off, they heard a loud shout of a man leaping from the ledge above.

“Get off him!” Exclaimed Godfree, Jon’s soon to be best friend. The two spiders left Jon on the ground and faced their new challenger.

They charged Godfree with shouts
and shrieks, Godfree slayed the two spiders, with the sword his master most
recently had given to him for his birthday. He checked on Jon, and figured that he need medicine, and fast.

16 years later, Jon and Godfree became good friends. Ever sense the incident in
the Cloud Forest Jon devoted himself to studying medicine. They had many
adventures, such as, questing across the mountains lining their homelands to
see what lays beyond them, adventuring the lowest valley to seek thieves and
bandits. They were local heroes, from helping
old widows with their gardens, to journeying to the market with other men at
the city. But adventure was around the corner.

“Good evening,” shouted Godfree, as he walked into Jon’s home. Now 29, Godfree had
developed into a tough and kind young man (very popular by all the girls of the
village). “Good evening to you as well,” replied Jon. Jon was sitting at his
hearth reading a book while drinking hot tea. “I have a letter for you,” “Who
is it from,” asked Jon. “I don’t know,” answered Godfree. He handed the letter
to Jon, who eagerly opened it in a hurry. “It’s from my parents,” said Jon with
a crack in his voice, and a tear rolling down the side of his face.

Ambitions for the Future: Jon hopes to become a Mage
and learn the ways of alchemy. He studies medicine books most so that one day,
when the need comes, he will know what to do.

Personality: Light hearted, shy, but brave when the
moment calls for it.

Skills: Has amateur skills in medicine.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question in this section must be answered with a
minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as
descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a
dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he
is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do
you do?

Answer: Jon and Godfree are walking in the city with a group
of Halfling men to buy some merchandise for the men’s wives. They notice the
two dark-clothed figures sneaking from allyway to allyway, avoiding the guards.
“Should e go after them,” asked Godfree. “I don’t think so, if the guards see
us stalking them they will surely arrest us, let’s just point the dark figures
to the guards and they will either do something about it, or say not to worry,
“Answered Jon. “Sounds good Jon.” Godfree walked over the the guards and tell
them about the dark-clothed figures, and the guards immediately react and catch
the thief’s.

2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come
across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it
stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two
heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with
leather armor and an iron longsword, how do you react?

Answer: Jon is returning home with Godfree from one of their
many quests, and notice the men harassing the old man. “Give us all your
money,” demanded one burgler. The old man refused, and the burglars started
beating him. “Let’s take them,” suggested Godfree. Jon looks around to see if
there are no others waiting to ambush them, should they go for the trap. There
wasn’t any. “Ok, let’s go,” answers Jon. Both man and Halfling charge at the
bandits harassing the old man, and stun them. Taking them to prison.

3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when
you notice a small man standing behind a colorful stall. You approach the stall
and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he
is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to
allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do?

Answer: This time Jon is alone, and take into consideration
the bread and materials. Jon also notices that the small man will haggle any
price, and take note of that. “Hello,” said the small man. “Hello,” replied
Jon. Jon’s assumptions served him well, the small man was old and frail, and he
could see that the man didn’t have any money. “Would you like to buy this fresh
read my wife man today?” “Yes, for you see, I’m short on supplies, (but he
really wasn’t).” “Name your price young sir.” “I’ll pay you twenty minas, and
you can have this soup.” The old man was speechless. “Thank you young sir, may
God bless you.”

Though your ORQ's are not as long as I'd like them to be, I have found that reading your application was quite fun, actually! I personally like how you handled each ORQ quickly and cleanly.

Please wait for a GM to implement you. Welcome to Lord of the Craft!
