The point of the free bread is to help out new players and players who have just spawned, yet people seem intent on hoarding it because "just RP hurhur". You can take your stealing role-play and anything else to somewhere other than the temple, where it's there to help everyone.

And if there's a choice between permakilling someone's character and giving them a one or two day temp ban, I'll go with the temp ban because I do not believe forcing permakills is ever acceptable.

This was a problematic ban but this has turned into a disgusting and silly pissing contest and hive mind. The issue was raised, now stop acting like children. It has nothing to do with you anyways, let the issue work itself out now. You aren't helping.

Yeah but you're meant too enforce the rules, not create them.

The problem here is that stealing bread with a VA clearly should not be bannable. It says in the rules that you are allowed to use 1a VA in the Cloud Temple. Stealing bread counts as 1a. This also is taking RP into OOC, as clearly said. He steals bread from monks, most likely for an RP reason. And you ban him.

With that, locking and moving to completed. You are more than welcome to bring any complaints about how I operate as a GM to myself or the administration, but flamy, trolly responses don't help.

Even though a two day ban is nothing compared to the length of bans on this server, compared to the crime, it is a bit unwarranted. I have made changes to rules and policies of the GM team; including emphasizing on speaking with players first before bans, removal of land scars and slaughtering of UNrp farms. I can assure you, the community, that further incorrectly handled incidences as this will result in a warning on the staff member who didn't follow protocol. In this case, the player should have been warned, if not IG then on the forums; whether they reply or not, a second or third offense would have shown a lack of respect for the community or requests of staff, and resulted in a 2 day ban. But none of this occurred and i feel it unnecessary to keep a player banned for such a minor infraction. Even with floating trees, i remove them myself and warn the player. A second offense would be a week ban.

We never had such clarifications in the past, and if we did; they weren't enforced on the GM team. Now that i am in charge of them, i will work diligently on making sure we have a better relationship on communication and respect. If you have any issues about my staff please feel free to PM me so that i may look into the situation rather than cause an uproar or flame fest via forums. For the sake of bettering the community i'd much rather fix any issues privately and watch our relationships prosper. However, using feedback and Bugs in this manner is perfectly okay and the results would be the same.

Thank you for your patience and bringing this matter to the attention of the Administration, even though it was indirect.
