Lemme throw this out there as a possible solution!

http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/personalchest/

Something like this plugin would prevent things such as this from happening, as all players would have access to the same amount of bread, and one idiot wouldn't be able to take all of it at once. I am honestly surprised we haven't implemented this earlier as it could be used for events and the like as well.

Or just let thieves actually steal... You know... like their VA says... One of the more silly bans, but hey  :idk:

Half a stack is over one of the four chests provided at the spawn. I stock each chest with 27 bread (one in each slot) several times daily. Not spawned bread, either. It all comes from the monk farms. The bread is supposed to get you to a city so you can buy your own food, not live off forever.

There's even a sign saying "don't take more than five loaves". If you choose to ignore that, it's your own fault.

Does he have a VA for theft?

Even then, a ban just seems too far :/, just my opinion though.

There is no rule saying that you cannot steal from the monks free bread chest... so... um... This needs to be looked into. It seems unjust.

But there's not a rule against taking free bread. Seriously.

Cappy....those farms are big. And if I recall correctly, the sign says "PLEASE do not take more than five loaves of bread" meaning it was asking, not demanding it....but, don't quote me on that... :grin2:

It's common sense you don't steal from the monks - they revive you, so maybe they'll just decide not to revive you if you steal from them. The problem is people emptying entire chests of bread just for their own use. It's for everyone to use to get to a city without starving so they can buy their own food, not for your personal escapade.

Sounds like a RP problem to me.  :ohplz:

Sadly, this is what I expect from a child who makes up rules for a board game as he goes along so that he can win, not froma member of our professional staff. No rule broken, no ban needed.

The monks no longer have an Oath stating they will heal anyone and everyone no matter what the circumstance?

Okay, I almost always sit at the temple whenever I'm on the server, seeing if I can help any new players or give RP to those looking for it.

I have never seen any bread in there, except for the bread that I can sometimes manage to put in there or someone else puts in there. I never see any 27 loaves of bread in there.

I think somebody likes their bread.

It's not STEALING if it's free. Even if it was, it does not warrant a ban. If you feel like bein' "cool" and ignoring players pleas and arguments that it's not ban worthy, then do so. All it does is effect you.

THAT'S IT.

I'm going to go hand out free soup to the homeless and call the cops on the ones who take 'too much'.
