The Bear, Derrek Elendil emerges out of his home in Adunia, a scroll firmly in his grasp as he stands, motionless, and still. The rains fall upon his cheeks as they drip from the ends of his hair and face. He stares blankly at the mud infested ground as the rain falls upon it like a blanket, causing the town to flood with puddles. The tip-tapping of rain on his plate Armour not seeming to faze him in the bleak lighting under the storms clouds. A peasant farmer approaches him followed by a number of other curious citizens.

"Ye' alright, mistah Elendil"

The farmer asks, a confused expression across his face. Derrek gradually lifts his head to the farmer, an expression of grief upon his battered and scarred face as he eventually rises to make contact with the man. After a few brief moments of eye contact, Derrek begins to charge into the forests of Adunia, pounding away obstructing branches and small trees, his face flooded with water, not knowing what is rain, or what is tears. Derrek reaches the base of the great stone mountain, not slowing down to climb but continuing his charge. He barrels up the rocky mountain accent, slipping from rock to rock as the rains and stormy gale increases.

After a powerful emotional hour of climbing, Derrek reaches the peak of the mountain, stopping to a halt at the other edge of the mountain cliff. He looks out over yonder, over to the distant sea horizon ahead, over the stormy sea eruption occurring beneath him as the hurricane of a wind smashes against his broad stature and the rains shatter down upon him. Derrek becomes breathless, he looks up to the stormy heavens and bellows out a thunderous cry to the clouds

"I 'ave dun' all yuh arsk!! What is my purposseee!!"

An explosive ray of lightning smashes against the cliff edge beneath him, causing rock to shatter and break off into the freezing waters beneath him that shatter against the rock. He quickly flings his robust arm over his face to protect himself from the lightning bolts shine. Derrek looks around him, panting emotionally and gasping for breath. What is my purpose? What must I do? Derrek roars like a bear, thundering over the storms destruction, squinting shut his eyes and tensing his body tightly

"Wwwrrrraaaaahhhrrr!!"

Derrek launches the unknown folded scroll into the storms wind as it plummets down and down to the sea oblivion. He firmly clasps his palms firmly onto his rough face, the rain drenching his beard and hair. For the first time in his life, emotion leaks as he sobs into tears, a man brought to low by something, not of our knowledge. His legs begin to whimper as he slides his bear like palms down his face and slumping beside him, his stature now slouched.

Derrek slowly reaches under his breastplate with shaken hands, he gradually retrieves a small parchment that shakes in his grasp like a soft, light leaf. He turns about, facing the known world of Anthos with his hair blowing in front of him. He looks out over the forests and just in view, Adunia. Derrek slowly rises his hand in line with his face, ever so gradually releasing lock of the parchment with his fingers as the note blows with the wind towards Adunia.

Derrek watches as the parchment flutters with the gale force wind towards his home. He slumps down his giant arm, his breathlessness and numbing of cold not bothering him, eyes darting across the landscape as a cracked smile protrudes from the corners of his mouth as a glimmer of tear in his eyes stumbles down his scarred face, past great memories in his life of significant events shown in scars, down his great beard that he took so great pride in, down his broad chest that without wouldn't of given him the name, "The Bear", down his legs that walked him on the journey of life through Anthos bestowed by the Adunian gods of old, down his feet that walked him to all places in the world, including here, including now, he falls.

In the Adunian settlement, all is quiet, the farmers still confused of Derrek's obscure disappearance and looking at each other with confused and distraught faces. The winds died and the rain ceased as only the clouds were there to block the suns light. After a moment of confusion a sudden burst of light erupted from the clouds as they dispersed to leak the suns raze.

"Mummy look!"

Announced a small child, cradled in the protection of her mothers arms. The child darted their hand towards the sky as the people blocked the suns light with a hand to follow the direction of the child's finger. A glimmer, ever so small was seen fluttering down from the one beam of light and swished downward in front of a farmers feet. He knelt down, retrieving the object now known as a small, tattered and damp parchment and holding it up to his view, his eyes darting from one end of the page to another.

"A Tragedy indeed,"

The farmer climbs up the steps leading towards the mountain staggeringly, turning halfway up and looking down to the confused and questioning citizens. Seeing his coming announcement, the populace of Adunia exits their homes and workplaces to hear the announcement, including the King and Clans. The farmer reads, as Adunia listens in dead silence.

"I come to you now, dearest countrymen, not as an Adunian Protector  Not as a former Heir to the North, not as a Noblemans Gaurd, not as the Ranger Captain. But as a watchful spirit. An ascendant into the halls of past Adunian countrymen alongside my father and his father before him. The gods have seen it time for me to pass, pass where you ask? I do not know, to the other side, to a haven from rebellious wars and political strife and conflict at the hands of unjust noblemen.

Nonetheless, I am gone now. Fluttering in Northern breeze my breath travels, flowing in cold crisp rains my blood flows, fertilizing in Adunian soil my bones rests. I understand my presence may be of nuisance sometimes. That I may have upset or even hurt some of those around me, my intentions are not so. I devoted my livelihood and life occupation to benefit of the realm itself for the betterment of everyone, choices i've made were not always correct, I know. And to that I congratulate and thank those who've compensated for that.

Lachlan Mor Elendil

When I first met you, I was hesitant on your rule. I did not know of your past history or even the parents that wisely brought you into our world. I was wrong to hesitate. You will go on to rule as a great King in the coming future, your reign will thrive under power and prosperity for Adunia. I know this how? Because you remind me greatly of Artorus, my Grandfather. The finest King Adunia had in it's halls and you are his worthy match. Similar to Artorus however, I can read from your given nature you are not one with the lasses. I present to you a girl I took under my wing at the arrival of new Adunia when I found her wandering the forests, Nethrel. Take her hand, she will be there to watch over you under your watchful reign. Choose this yes or no, I cannot swade. However, It is my wish.

Isabella Elendil

Sister, I love you and have always been there to care for you even though my presence is not beside you. You were not just a sibling to me, you were also a mother to me. And despite how much we would portray to hate one another we would always know in our hearts that the bond we had together would see us through. I am sorry however for my negative actions towards you in my lifetime. I was wrong to challenge those you loved and cared for and I am sorry, I just couldn't bare to imagination another man caring for my Bella other than me. Watch Adunia for me, Care for Lachlan and the Elendils. Stay safe.

To Adunia itself, you have been my mother where there was non. Thank you.

"The Great Adunian Bear"

Words cannot express how much this character has meant to me, how much i've bonded and connected with him is beyond belief. Thank you to those who have Roleplayed alongside Derrek and I.
